Hi guys,
I dont know if anyone can help me on this, I got an HTC Touch Pro on the Bell Mobility Network and i cant get the phone to ring or vibrate when i get an email. I have 2 account set up on my phone and one of them is a Microsoft Exchange Server.
In my settings the ring and vibrate is checked but the option to have the light flash is greyed out but yet it will flash but wont ring.
Can any one help me???

i have problem with my sms notification when i recieve sms msg i can not hear any notification sound from my xda.
I already check the check box under the notification tab under setting.
so can any one help me out to fix this problem?

ok i think i know what went wrong ( Not sure) but need to try
i uninstall the O2 Active software from my xda that might delete the sms account.
so can any one please give the setting and how setup a sms account because when i try to to create a SMS account, the first setup screen ask me to put email address.. which i am getting confussed

hi to u all again
i tried PhoneAlarm yesterday (Trial ) when i recieve sms i can hear the my sms ringtone it was working fine
now i uninstalled the phonealram again same problem
SMS came in without any ring notification but on my today screen it says i have 1 new txt msg
ANY one plz help me

yea.i have that problem too..and didnt find any solution yet..but theres this another free app in market `SMS POP UP`..use that..it worked for me
Is it possible to tell the phone not to vibrate for certain actions when it's set to vibrate mode?
I have my cell sitting next to my desk and I like to have it on vibrate (as opposed to silent) so I know when a call is coming in but I don't want it to vibrate every time I get an email. I'm at my computer already - I know that I got an email. This was possible with my old Treo 700wx but I can't find a setting for this on my VZW Touch Pro.

set your email "options" for each account to sync manually while you are at work. Then change them to sync every five minutes or ass they arrive when you are away from work.

I don't want to change the options every time I get in to work. Are there any other alternatives?

Settings/Sounds and notifications/Notifications/Event: New Email Message
Uncheck play sound and uncheck vibrate.
Not sure if you would want to permanantly disable it or just while at work. This seems easy enough. Tell me what you want
I want it to play a sound when not on "vibrate" mode but not to vibrate when it is.
Hey, im running an elelinux rom on my htc hero, and i cant seem to get it to vibrate for notifications
i have installed a few other roms over the coarse of my phones life and i can nevr get them to do it, its fine for incoming calls but when notifications come in it doesnt vibrate
help please?
Ok I am a newbie with this phone and android..... have had no problems, except everytime I get an email, it beeps, which wouldn't be a problem but at night or when I dont want it to. I have even put silent on it, ringtone under notifications on email settings.
I have set up yahoo as my main email on this phone. I had to turn OFF the phone last night because it wouldnt stop.

I'm using a GSM prepaid sim with my MoPho right now, and this sim gives me a network message each time I send a text or make a call which tells me my new remaining balance and call charge. This notification uses the default ringtone and also vibrates. How do I change this? At the least I would like to turn of the vibration since I have vibration turned completely off with everything else right now. Anyone know?

Strange....for many of us...that doesnt even work because lack of USSD support on Photon..
What ROM you are using ?
Well it doesent really work... It shows me a notification but the text is wrong. There is just a box like character and nothing else. But I still get the notification and a tone and vibration...
I'm running the latest stock rom, no root
Anyone have some ideas?
