I'm assuming it works for TP2 also.
However, NONE of the eBay sellers will ship to EU - it's strictly North America only.
Does anybody know of a reliable shop that can sell a working HF adapter w/ mic support for extUSB to 2.5mm mini-plug that works with TP2. I also don't want a full HF with a extUSB connector, because I already have a great HF with a 2.5mm connector. I also don't want a 3.5mm adapter. Enough adapters already
Ebay has zero resellers that can deliver. Brando doesn't have one, neither has PDAshop.nl. Amazon.com doesn't deliver outside US either.
I don't want one of those huge 3-in-1 dongles - just a plain, small and sturdy 2.5mm HF adapter.

Why don't you just ask nicely from the sellers that could they do exception for you. Ask that if they would be willing to send the item in an envelope as it isn't that big. It never hurts to ask nicely

look for a seller in hongkong they ship to the uk. i got mine. works fine

Vasra, if you are in the Netherlands - and my feeling is you are - you should try this guy: http://www.speurders.nl/overzicht/gebruiker-186094/. I bought the one with the built-in microphone. He also has the model you are looking for. Promptly delivered after having paid, and it all works fine.
Cheers, Dela

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I'll order from Speurders, as I can't locate a HK seller anywhere.

Hi guys,
I'm in the UK and I too wanted a USB - Jack adaptor for my TP2, but there was no UK/Europe suppliers. So I've taken the plunge and ordered a few of these from Asia and hopefully they'll be here in the next week or so. They will work out cheaper than the Speurders ones hopefully. Should I let you guys know when they're available? Does anybody definitely want one?
Thanks.
Steve

Just another thought, you could send me a personal message and I'll e-mail you when they're available...

Headphone adaptor

I've seen a few threads about headphone adaptors, but haven't seen a definitive answer to my query, so I hope I'm not going over old ground.
I'm looking for a cable that plugs into my Wizard (O2 XDA Mini-S) at one end and at the other end has a mic, a clip (to attach it to clothes), and a socket for standard 3.5mm headphones - through which it will provide true stereo (not dual mono) sound. It needs to be a reasonable length, so that I can have my phone in my pocket and clip the mic to my collar.
If it can provide FM radio into the bargain (and take any necessary power from the Wizard) that'd be even better, but it's by no means essential.
Any recommendations (especially in the UK)?
Thanks,
Robb
Whoo Hoo!
I've been keeping an eye out for something like this too... and I think I've finally found some!

I'm going to do a bit more shopping before I buy anything but I'll post a review once I do.
check this out http://www.expansys.com/htc/p_htc_item.aspx?i=140285
I'd be afraid the Samsung one wouldn't work with the Wizard. It says several times it is for the listed models ONLY. It might be a standard plug, but I seem to recall seeing someone posting (probly on another forum) about problems using some 2.5mm connectors with the Wizard. The LG one might have the same problem, but both could also work fine.
I really like that HTC Bluetooth one! I wonder if I can get it in the US. How good is the sound quality over bluetooth?
It's true, not all 2.5 mm plugs are wired the same. I've had to open up the last one I bought and rewire it to make it work with the Wizard.
Watch Expansys - their web site (and their staff) are wrong.
Like many people on this forum, I have an O2 XDA Mini-S. When looking for a headphone adapter, I searched for a 'htc wizard headphone adapter' and was led to this unit by the search: http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=127181
When you look at this adapter you can see that it includes this unit: http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=118289
This is actually a different animal. This has a Mfr Part #: PPCPADPT15,eXpansys Code: 118289. This is an adapter for an O2 XDA III, not a Mini-S (it says so on the envelope)
When I repeat my search on PPCTech's web site I get this page (via tinyurl) http://tinyurl.com/2hkdym This shows that the adapter for an HTC wizard, or an O2 Mini-S is actually a PPCPADPT11, not a PPCPADPT15.
I tried to return the adapter and asked for the correct adapter for my phone only to be told by an arrogant and ignorant sales person that what I have is the correct adapter. He's been "selling these for four years and he knows what he is talking about" I tell him that sound only comes from one earpiece, and he says this is normal - you only get mono from this adapter. Utter rubbish!
Has anyone else worked out if the PPCPADPT11 is correct? If so, how did they convince eXpansys?
Cheers

Just the speaker works, the button and mike don't. I don't know if I broke something but it has got a 4 ring 2.5mm jack. it also aught to be pretty easy rewiring because of the standard 4p4c modular RJ10 connector. According to their website it should: "will work with most phones (Motorola, LG, Samsung)".
I've done some sporadic attempts to find a wiring schemes of the Wizard's jack connector but hadn't have much luck, would love to go B100 style sometimes!!!

I noticed on the that site is says the internal microphone will not work. Does that mean the jack only has 2 poles? A left/right audio out. No audio in for a microphone?
I am looking for an adapter i can use with an Iphone headset with line mic.

Is there a Cradle yet??

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a cradle yet?
boxwave wants you to pay $50 for one with battery charger...
bit steep...
aah the good old days when pdas came with cradles...
Hi,
I use my old orbit cradle which works fine and only £13.98

Try this

It works for my Orbit II (and I think TC too) but the seller delivers this cradle only in Germany.
Some have started appearing on eBay.
I bought one (£3.90 + £5.00 delivery from Hong Kong).
Should arrive this week!
does it charge a spare battery too?
I just got this one.. no problems.. works great!
Cost was about $24 Delivered.

I got the same cradle, but the mini-usb connector is too high on mine -- the Touch Cruise never touches the bottom of the cradle, and instead ends up "floating" on top of the USB plug. Not good...

Is it a GOOD fit for the Orbit 2?
Many cradles seem targeted at the HTC versions and these can differ slightly and make it difficult to slide over the connector. Can you confirm the Orbit 2 fits well into this cradle?
Thanks.
Nope, it's not a good fit for the orbit 2. The o2 will fit in it, but it's resting on the USB jack which isn't good.

Boxwave Cradle
I got one off ebay and the USB connector on it was to long. It would not sit all the way down in the cradle. Then I saw this one on Boxwave. Costs a little more but it fits perfectly. Comes with or without a Spare Battery Charger
http://www.boxwave.com/products/desktopcradle/htc-touch-cruise-desktop-cradle_3046.htm
Not exactly a cradle, but...
Just ordered this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FOR-HTC-TOUCH...tcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I'll have to use an adapter, but it has a USB output for charging, so no need to take the supplied wall wart.
Just a quick comment.
With the eBay cheapo dock, I have to connect two USB cables for it to sync properly. I guess the dock itself is drawing quite a bit of current. Probably by its super bright tacky blue LED...
May be a problem for people who haven't got a lot of USB ports.
Is anyone using this desktop cradle from Clove Technology?
http://www.clove.co.uk/viewProduct....category=3F64F95C-E53B-499D-8CDA-DAFC84465AF0
I'm wondering is it a proper fit for the touch cruise.
By the way does anyone know why HTC removed accessories from their website?
Edit:Sorry, HTC did not remove accessories from their website but they don't have a desktop cradle
Good prices.

Unfortunately, the current miniUSB to 3.5 adaptor available on eBay does not support Mic pass through
and the HTC multi-adaptor is just to big for my liking.
So.... I decided to make my own miniUSB to 3.5 WITH mic pass through using the HTC adaptor. It was not too difficult, so you might want to try for yourself.
NEEDED:
-multimeter (or just use my diagram, if the adaptor is the same as yours)
-soldering iron
-razor
-wire cutters
-electrical tape
-shrink tubing
PROCESS:
Open the big boy up and remove the circuit board.
Use a multimeter to determine which wire color goes on the 3.5mm port. Remove 3.5 port and wires from circuit board. Remove unnecessary wires from cable, making sure no wires contact each other (cut at slightly different lengths).
Solder the appropriate wire to the corresponding spot on the 3.5mm port. Then test out your work BEFORE you button everything up.
Try to make the wire nice and neat.
Wrap some electrical tape around the wires. All that is left to do is use your heat shrink tubing to finish off your work and make it look all professional.
If you dont want to go threw all of that
You can just buy this
http://cgi.ebay.com/Headphone-Adapt...286.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo=LVI&itu=UCI&otn=2&ps=6
i purchase one and i love it
I don't see anywhere in that eBay auction that the adapter allows mic pass through. Dose it allow mic pass through? That was the only reason I used the HTC adapter, because it allows mic pass through. I already have the first adapter above, but was not happy with just headphones.
UPDATE.... YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO READ BEFORE YOU POST!!!! THAT ADAPTER DOES NOT HAVE MIC PASS THROUGH... PLEASE READ ALL OF A POST BEFORE YOU RESPOND NEXT TIME.
THANKS

Very nicely done. Any plans on selling these?
Shipping problem.
I own a HTC Gene. It does not have 3.5mm audio jack and in my country no adapter is available. Neither in shops nor online. And I want to use regular headphones. Any idea how can I make one connector cable by joining extUSB sync cable and 3.5mm female audio jack?

Rearth Ringke Slim w/ Brodit ProClip

So, I got the Ringke Slim hoping it would fit with the ProClip . . . which it didn't.
It would slide in ok, but the alignment to the charging port was off by nearly an 8th inch.
I had to take the dremmel to the mount to get it to work, but it works. Surprisingly, the phone still fits pretty snuggly even without the case
I got the hard-wired mount, so I also dremmeled a small gap in the console for the power cable and an audio cable.
Waze looks great on this thing!!
Let me know if the pictures show up or not . . . experimenting with using facebook to image host

When you order the ProClip you get the dock and mount together with a mount specific to your car.
They have a standalone dock, a lighter charger dock, and a hardire dock. I got the hard wired. Pulled the console out and soldered the positive lead into the existing cigarette lighter power supply with an inline 2a fuse and grounded to the existing ground.
I already had an ipod interface installed to work with the factory head unit, and that interface also has auxiliary input. Just ran the rca through the same hole for the power cable and plugged it in to the ipod interface unit behind the dash.
I always bought ProClip USa mounts for my devices. They are vibration free, and very quality products.
However I'm surprised they don't have the adjustable dock for the note (like they did for my iPhone 4). It would allow for different case widths...I guess they don't do it for all devices.
Is that a tape player in your car?

LOL . . . no. There was an option tape deck that fit under the cd deck so it's got the button on there for input selection. I have the "cash box" under the head unit and in the cash box is an old iPhone 3g hooked up to a PA11-HON which charges and controls the playlists through the factory deck.

It was either this one or the "universal mount" . . . I didn't want to play with the universal thing so I got this knowing I'd either need to mod it or go case free. It's still snug as a bug even without the case, but I think I may have voided my warranty and affected my resale value

GREAT MicroUSB Cables From Anker

I have ALWAYS purchased spare and extended batteries for all my phones from Anker, all the way back to my Google G1 phone. They always worked great, and support has been fantastic.
http://www.amazon.com/Anker%C2%AE-Premium-Android-Samsung-Motorola/dp/B00N8W00DY/ref=cm_rdp_product
I needed a few extra MicroUSB cables for the car, and was tired of ordering the cheap crap from Ebay (which often take 3 weeks to arrive from China).
These Micro USB cables from Anker came as a set of 3. They are very well made (yes you can immediately feel the difference when handling them). They come in a nice box, with a little insert seeking feedback in the product, which is why I am leaving this review.
For me, the most IMPORTANT aspect is the fit... and this Micro USB cable from Anker fits my Samsung Note 3 like a glove! The is no wiggle when attached. This was something I always experience with those cheap cables. Often times my phone was not fully charged when I thought it was supposed to be because of a crappy cable not fitting properly.
The "micro" side of the cable is small, and fits nicely in the various phone cases I have for my phone, so absolutely no issues there.
The length is fine.. I wanted them shorter because they are for the car, and do not want extra long cables getting in the way when I drive.

And they would offer no support for USB 3.0. If I were purchasing spare cables specifically for my Note 3, I'd make them USB 3.0 as I have quite a few devices that support it.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
I can't understand why would anyone need spare cables. It only fits one at a time, the original one from Samsung fits perfectly and doesn't flop at all, it charges faster then any other 3rd party cable and it's already pretty short for a car. I understand spare batteries but I can't see any point in cables. Unless you break the original one but then I would get another one from Samsung, not some Chinese stuff.
I have one next to my bed, one downstairs, one hooked up to my computer, two in my car (dual charger), and one at work. Might fit one at a time, but my phone is rarely at the right place at the right time.
