for two days I finally got my bluetooth-activesync to work, which just wouldn't want to work in the past. remove the bluetooth dongle, search google for a howto about how to make old devices visible inside the windows device manager, remove everything bluetooth related, com ports, the devices and the network related stuff. then reinstall the bluetooth dongle, let windows install all the driver . when this is finished you can follow the procedure described in the activesync helpfile about how to create an outgoing com port etc.
you should be just fine, as I said I could never make it work until I cleared out all the junk that windows likes to collect and carefully hides from you ;-) thats windows folks.
hope this will work for you, too.
thanks for the message, but i cant find the article on google..im using a built in bluetooth btw.....can u PM me with the directions ? really appreciate it if u can help...

What's the difference between this and WM5Storage?
Excellent..
Good.. Work well..
700MB -> About 5~6Min..
Program is too small, so I like it..
Thanks..
Thanks! It works great!!! There is even no need to reconnect the cable. Simple and fast. Do you know who is the developer?
Thanks. Works very well.
There are three options in the setting. Turbo ActiveSync, Normal ActiveSync, and Mass USB disk.
I set it to Turbo and thought that transferring files is a lot quicker than before now.
WIth Mass USB, I could only see the device but not the storage card or microdrive. Is this normal? Is there a way to see all three?
Thanks man ) Write speed is 3,3 mb\s, read is 3,5
Nice program, I find it works a bit better than WM5torage.
BUT !
Do not connect as a USB mass storage device when using Audio Manager for it will (and does, I tested) f*ck Audio Manager up (logical, since Audio Manager will detect that the microdrive's been used by another application and try to refresh its library, endlessly since the lock isn't removed until the device is disconnected).
Finally something that works better than WMStorage... but can't switch to storage card only the microdrice... even without this option i finally can replace my usb stick with a usb cable...
Yes! Hurrah!
Unlike WM5torage, in ANY of its versions, this works!
Even got Turbo Activesync working using the instructions on the last post on that thread linked above: when Generic RNDIS is detected and Windows asks for a driver, tell it to search in c:\program files\microsoft activesync\drivers and that did the job for me. Don't know if it's actually any faster than standard Activesync, but it couldn't be slower.
Thanks very much!
Thank you veru match

Okay, a follow up to that. The Turbo mode works by activating the network-via-USB. It works very well indeed here on my work PC, but doesn't on my home PC. It connects, but doesn't start the synch and just sticks on Looking for Changes.
I don't suppose anyone has a fix for that? Normal practice seems to be to untick the "Enable advanced network functionality" box, which is what this mode uses.

USB Storage
I have two issues: When I activate the attached USB file it disables Active Sync and secondly My computer doesn't seem to recognize it as a storage drive (I must be missing some type of PC USB file). Any suggested solutions would be greatful.

No NOT via active sync and that is the beauty ! you can go to any modern computer and *without* installing active sync get the microdrive to show up as a USB memory stick and transfer data.
Great!Thanks!

this is not the solution but i figured it out.
start----settings---connection---usb to pc--remove the tag.
My current programinformation
operativsystemversion: 5.2.21869.
Manilaversion: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM version: 1.66.413.2 (76641) SVE
IS the above old versions or new?
I have dowloaded some apps and other things for my HTC HD2.
Htc Flashlight, artemis, htc hd2 tweaks and apps, and more.
How do I install these apps and tweaks?
Where do I put them on the phone, in which folder?
How do I install them?
Do I have to update ROM or something else?
I have activesync on both my phone and pc.
I have no idea how to do, and the Q&A doesnt help. I know pretty much about windows pc use, but im a totally newb when it comes to mobilephones, I dont even know what manila, or ROM is :O
If they are cab files (ie *.cab), just save them to the device in any folder and "click" on them to install. (c0-y the files via USB or via microSD card)
You will be prompt to install either on device or microSD.
Cheers.

Welcome Silver. Cookies home tab & Cookies home tab editor are the apps you should start with. They will totally revolutionise the way your phone looks and works! Before you download them to the phone, you have to install NET3.5 framework. Download these three apps to your computer, then connect your phone via the usb it came with and select disc drive option and press done on the phone. Copy & paste or drag/drop these files into the program files folder on the new disc drive icon in your my computer window. Click the safely remove icon on the task bar and disconnect your phone from the pc. Now click the window icon on the phone, and scroll to the file explorer icon and press it. Click on NET3.5 and install it to the device when prompted. Do the same with CHT & Editor and be prepared to say WOW!!! Post here if you have any problems.

Well you go on the website I give up earlier, or do a research on Google fore Net Framework. you download it to your computer, and you connect your device with USB to your PC. you will see the window of ActiveSync on your screen (your pc trays to connect to your mobile device)
run the Net Framework application (.exe) from your PC. follow the steps, that's it.

Did you manage to get the NETCF3.5.CAB on your phone? I've done some digging, and you CAN install it on your phone. Connect the phone via usb and select the disk drive option from the phone screen and press done. Then go to my computer and click on the removable drive icon. Double click on program files icon and copy the NETCF3.5.CAB into this folder. Disconnect the phone from the computer, and press the windows icon on your phone. Scroll to file explorer icon and press it. Go to the top of the page and select the storage card. Press program files and find the net cab. Press it and follow the instillation process and it should install.

Activesync is for XP only, mobile devie center is the "ActiveSync" for Vista and Windows 7.
Functionality is equal (although perhaps when UAC active, one needs admin rights for full functionality - just guiessing about that though-)
You cannot run from activesync/mobile device center.
steps to follow:
1) Connect your phone to your computer
2) make sure you have partnership (even guest partnership is ok) betwwen phone and PC
3) Download the MS .net Framework from here and save it on your computer (eg in c:\tmp)
4) Run the downloaded package on your PC.
5) After running on PC, follow steps on your phone (if any)
It does not get any simpler...

Make sure that your Android phone is set to "Media device (MTP)" mode when connected to the computer. To do this, connect your phone to the computer via USB, then swipe down on your phone's notification panel and tap on the "USB" notification. From there, select "File transfer" or "Media device (MTP)".
Also, enable USB Debugging on Your Android Phone.
Go to Control Panel then Device manager then Portable Device wher you will find your device with exclamation ( ! ) mark. Right Click on it, update driver --- Browse my computer for driver -- Let me pick from a list --- select MTP USB Device -- Next
Probably you will be now able .....
