anyone know? or know a reliable site?
hmm..
I think you know already but you can get it from Ebay.
I'd say you could trust ebay if you pay with paypal and just see the sellers feedbacks.
Many of those power sellers, they make numbers of sales and they tend to give you a nice service because a bad evaluation really hurts their business on ebay.
yeah all the ones on ebay are a little steep i found a few sites for like 450 but never heard of them so i was looking to see if anyone knows a site with a hero for under 500
importgsm.com has them as well. I would personally wait, it looks like hero is coming to the US very soon.

i am selling brand new white google g1,unlocked,with all accesories and 2gb sd card.
you can pay me via paypal or directly on bank.
price is 360gbp or 400euro.
cheers
Good luck with that price
Lol... wow, hot deal of the century here.........
it can be sold for 450 here in slovenia.i am just trying to sell him out
360 British pounds = 548.14 U.S. dollars
It's a decent price over here (Sweden). Not great, but cheaper than buying a Dev Phone through Google.
It ain't that bad,in Spain some people are paying for the G1.....550/700 euros......this is out-flipping-rageous.I got one for my dad here in the US and sent it to Spain,he paid 315 euros with taxes and shipping included, which is a really good deal I think.
all i know is crack is a terrible drug....n causes people to do outlandish things....this phone is by no means worth that price.....
ud have better luck selling it through ebay...
since white g1's are labeled as "rare" they tend to go higher
not to mention the few ADP1's ive seen have sold for over 600usd
Obviously, there doesnt seem to be anyone interested through postings.
If you are interested contact him through PM.
Locking this thread before it gets out of hand.
Good Luck on the sale.
so where can get get one that works in the US?
Non works with US 3G yet
ebay or import one, only work on edge until north american version is released and even then it only has ATT 3G bands if that is important to you
T-Mobile USA
Simple question guys. I think the answer is 'yes' but I want to verify this with people w/ more experience.
Does the UK version of the Hero work w/ T-Mobile USA data network?
I'd like to get the Hero but it would be a waste of money if it doesn't work w/ my provider.
Sorry guys...found the answer on another thread
noob mistake
How trustworthy does this seller look to you guys?
http://mobilegadgetsonline.com/HTC/HTC-Hero-Android-White-Smartphone-Unlocked-p6.html
It's cheaper than handtec, which is the best value I've found..
$400?! that's suspicious .. everyone else has it starting from $634
refurbished? it says new ..
the store has zero rating in google shopping
ohhh, now i see why, i'm sure they messed up the currency sign, hero costs 400 british pounds
That's possible.. but everything else on the site is also in dollars and relatively cheap compared to other places.
I guess it is too suspicious though, I'm not going to touch that one.
thinking about buying from mobilegadgetsonline.com
if anyone out there HAS bought from there i would appreciate a quick note about it.
i am thinking of buying from there as they are CHEAP!! CHEAP !! CHEAP!
but as some of you, i am skeptical as well.
they say that they are a new store, with new goods....
trying to obtain a sound customer base.
they also stated that the promo prices (which are fantastic) end on July 31st.
hmmm, what to do, what to do?!?!?!?!?
if its to cheap.....
the alarm bells would be ringing for me
do your homework before you buy.
I would not deal with any company that does not have a land line phone number to call. Not that it makes a difference.
No Whois information either - I know for dot com it not needed, but hay. BEWARE
THATS A SCAM i recently purchased a hero from them and got an email saying ur order can not be prossesed because our credit card processors are down and you must send cash or money order your credit card was not charged
JerryBarcenas, which site did you buy it from so we can know where not to get it.
I'm waiting for the hero to come to the us and will hopefully get my unlocked hero by october/november
that mobilegadgetsonline is a scam however the next cheapest i found was integrontechnologies.com its 599 free shipping and has google checkout ill try them next if not ill just got to expansys i trust them
Thanks for the info, Jerry.
I guess I would recommend everyone to buy from expansys if they wanted to be safe.
Hi all,
I've just seen a HTC Flyer for sale online (forgive me for not revealing my sources).
It's a fairly reputable auction site and 'apparently' it's 3 months new, 16GB Wi-Fi version with case, box, headphones, pen and a free 32GB MicroSD Card... looks ok in the pictures for cosmetic damage.
Seller wants £100 for it... What do you all think? Is it worth it? I know they still RRP for around £300+, so it could be a bargain!
Unsure.
cheers,
T-L-H
Lessee....that's about 150 USD, so yeah...thats a good deal.
I dunno what "3 months new" means but you'd be hard pressed to find a flyer that cheap over here even used. Best price I've seen is 180 USD refurbished.
I am selling mine on Swappa, it comes with more than just the unit, but am asking $335 for it.
http://swappa.com/listing/TKX494/view
Mine is listed in the XDA Marketplace w/ Scribe, Otterbox Case, charging dock and Screen Protectors.
Hi all,
I'll take a look at what you're offering but I don't think it'll compare to £100!
If anyone has a 3g version for sale, send me a pm so we can work something out (I'm in Texas).
Thats a fantastic deal. Maybe too good to be true. Is the seller reputable?
If its an auction, then 100 pounds is just the starting price or the current bid? Or a "buy it now" price?
If its just the starting price or current price, keep in mind that the huge majority of auction bidding happens in the last couple hours leading up to the auction end, even the last couple MINUTES.
With any online auction, make sure the seller (not just the website) has a good reputation. I typically will not even consider buying from somebody that has less then something like a 98% rating. A marginal or poor rating means, at a minimum, that the seller is not good at communicating (responding to inquiries or issues), and /or slow at shipping (none of which you want). Worst case, a bad rating means that they are a scam artist.
I'm not sure why people keep mentioning auctions or buy it now prices.
All I said was that the seller wants £100 for it, and that's the flat price.
I think it's an ok deal.

You said in your OP that it was on an auction website. So unless you explicitly note otherwise we might assume its . . . (wait for it) . . . AN AUCTION!!!!! Imagine that!!!
Also, I'm the only one that mentioned auctions or buy it now price, so I don't know why you're on about "why people keep mentioning . . .".
You haven't given many details, so its hard for anyone to say whether its a good deal or not. Is it available straight from this "fairly reputable auction site", or is it the type of site where individuals post things for sale (like eBay). If its an individual seller, do they have a good rating?
I have a HTC View that I would sell for $240 + shipping if anyone is interested, I think I'm going to list it in the XDA market place.
Flyer
Do you have a link to your Flyer on MarketPLace?
thx
Hello everyone!
I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S4 last week. It's pretty awesome. But that's not why I'm here.
I've been trying to sell my Note on eBay. I've listed it two different times. Once was with a Buy It Now and it was bought within a minute of me listing it. Guy never paid. It was a scam. So, I blocked him. Next time I listed it I did an auction style. At the last minute someone with a feedback score of 100%, but only 3 feedbacks bid a high amount. Now that person isn't contacting me and has not paid.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this?
So is this an eBay question, or you trying to sell your device?
Either way I think you're in the wrong forum.

I am trying to sell my device, but not on here. Wasn't sure where to post this, so I picked here.
This is what you get with ebay. If they find something better/cheaper, they can flake out.
I am not surprised and you shouldn't be either. Try posting on local classified or Craigslist, and sell it face-to-face.

Craigslist has more flakers than eBay does. At least with eBay you have some protection. On Craigslist you have to meet up with the person which can be more of a hassle if the person does not show up or tries to rob you. You can end up selling it for more on Craigslist but there are more risks involved.
To the OP, I would repost it on eBay and file a complaint against the people that flaked on the auction. I've sold lots of things on eBay and I've also had people bail on me when they won the auction. It happens so don't feel that it is the norm. You just got flaked on twice.
If I were you, I'd repost it on eBay and put it on Craigslist. Just make sure you do not post your phone number or email address on Craigslist. Have the person that is interested in your phone leave you their phone number so that you could call them. Also, make sure you meet up at a public place such as a mall or store. I don't recommend meeting at your house or theirs. Good luck.
If your phone works, go hit up swappa, they charge $15 to sell it, but it's as secure as you get. I've bought my prime there and it was quick smooth and easy.
I buy and sell a lot on ebay, with 100% positives.
if you take GOOD pics of your Note, explain the condition accurately, and make it a nice looking listing, with a responsible start price [say 190 for instance] and you have 98 to 100% feedback rating, you'll get it done. ship it flat rate padded envelope so no one is confused about what shipping is.
for whatever reason [supply, probably] the i717 does not bring quite as much as the t-mo version, all other things considered.
both great handsets imo.

AT&T no longer sells it. The supposed links to the dock on ebay actually lead to other docks.
Would anyone be willing to sell their clampshell adjustable angle official asus padfone x dock?
I am also looking for one too
There's a sketchy website that claims to sell it, but apparently doesn't ship to the United States. If you know someone in Malaysia maybe you can get one, and if so get multiple and make a small profit on ebay. I'd be willing to send some money to someone if they ARE able to get this accessory in hand from this site.

It's not a sketchy website, it's one of the biggest dealers in Malaysia for smartphones and accessories. I've probably bought half a dozen phones from them. They're currently the only dealer I know off in this country selling these accessories.
I'd be able to get the accessory in hand, but I wouldn't trust mailing OUT of Malaysia to the US. I don't mind helping someone purchase some, if you have someone I could pass it to. Of course, they do delivery as well, so if you do have someone locally, you may as well get them to send it to the person.
Oh, that's good to hear. I found a proxy shipping company that says they will send to the US on my behalf, I will try ordering it through them. I'm open to recommendations if you know of any others.

Like I said, we (a group of users in Malaysia) haven't heard of anyone else bringing these in. Singapore is much more reliable, some of us have bought accessories from their shops.
