Strange Issues on HTC Diamond
Official Rom 2.03
1. I noticed that my Diamond open and close directly its monitor one minute before new day come, namely at 23.59.. Scheduler with one day frequency, is my selection for automatic background change.
It seems that application do something and awake my device. When scheduler has been disabled, the behavior of HTC Diamond was correct at 23:59 and it didn't open, so this application is responsible for this issue.
2. File names which apart only of numbers will never selected on background. (for example 56.jpg)
Any suggestion are welcome.
Regards

Yes I have Galarm installed, but I have no alarm activated. Furthermore, when I disable scheduler from AntWorks, I don't have the same issue
Nice work my friend and I think that you will release very soon your appication

You are absolutely right my friend. I uninstall GAlarm and I didn't have the same issue. It seems that there is a conflict between your application and GAlarm. Do you use probably the same Scheduler machine with GAlarm ?

I don't know, but it doesn't work on device. I have created a folder in Internal Storage and copied two files, one with letters and one only with number.
Probably can someone else test it.
Keep trying good work

S2V is a stylus-free picture viewing application. It can also be used to set up the wallpapers for S2U2 (0.97 or later); assign a pic to a contact; set it as Today's wallpaper; or send it via MMS/email.
Prerequisition:
- WM5 Phone or WM6 Professional devices
- free RAM: at least 6M for QVGA
- if you cannot start S2V, delete the whole registry tree HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V, then start S2V again.
Changes of v0.42
- fixed the occasional bug that S2V quit unexpectedly when viewing a particular folder.
- added the options to change the sorting menu symbol. It's only useful for those devices that cannot display the triangles on the sorting menu. How? Create a registry value AscendingSymbol (String) at \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V\, set the content to whatever you want, e.g. ^, or even a word (ascending). Create another one called DescendingSymbol for the descending order.
- fixed some minor bugs.
Changes of v0.40 (20-8-2008)

- added sort option by time or name.
- added thumbnail pic cache (the cache folder can be custom by the registry value "CacheFolder" at \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V\).
- added send function to send a pic via MMS/email.
- added sliding effect when zooming a pic.
- added support to RealVGA.
- reduced the chances of blank screen when a device has enough memory.
- separate CAB files for QVGA(low-res) & VGA(high-res) devices.
- changed some menu labels; for non-English translation, pls refer to the lang.ini file.
- fixed some minor bugs.
Changes of v0.38 (23-5-2008)
- added a delete function.
- added option to open a pic through the command switch (for advanced users, you can now associate pic files to be opened by S2V).
- added some shortcuts: ANSWER key to quit; END/OK key to minimize; tap the top right corner to minimize.
- reduced the RAM usage a little.
- reduced the contact pic size so as to reduce the chance of Outlook sync error (but for VGA or above devices, there is still chances that the pic will over the size that Outlook can handle).
- all system icons are live when S2U2 (v1.00 or later) is already running in the background.
- fixed the issue that some devices cannot run in Landscape mode.
- fixed some minor bugs.

2 zoom and pan from the link i mentioned above
3 adding the pics to S2U2 from your application

This is just a simple flash tool to edit the "tabs" of the WM6.5 plugin (Titanium).
The aspect is simple and draggable. You can change the order and remove the tabs you dont want.
You can also add new tabs (to add/test new plugins) and change the Left SoftKey.
This is only a plugin manager, it doesnt install plugins, for that you can find them in the excelent thread All WM6.5 Titanium plugins by thedaniel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511052
Small update:
----------------
- Added CS2P plugin
- Added TWolf plugin
- Added CDigiClock plugin
- Just replace your data.txt with the zipped one.
New version 7.02:
-------------------
- Minor visual changes.
- Fixed nem bug where a swapped tab couldnt be re-chosen for a different plugin.
- Fixed bug when jumping from 24 plugins screen to 16 that caused the application to go berserk.
- Fixed strange bug in the 24 plugins screen that didnt allow the third column to swap tabs.
- Added taskanium plugin
- Added new settings plugin
- Started programming the routine to read the real regkeys (uff)... Its not ready to use yet, but you can see its results already by pressing the ENTER softkey on the main screen. It will only read the first 24 plugins, like this app, and everything else in "undefined" (unused).
Version 7.01:
-------------------
- Fixed a bug on the MyPhotos plugin (thanks for the tip, nandar).
- Created a new routine to check how many plugins are enabled, this makes the plugin layout jump back to areas 5, 10, 16 or 24 if the correct empty spaces are available.
- Added option to swap plugin with empty buttons.
- Fixed bug that forced you to change the plugin if you dragged a button back to itself.
- Some visual cleanups and blinged graphics.
- Added the "Are you sure?" message in enable and disable all plugins (I think this was needed, since it would flush your previous settings).
- Added Restore button, to put the default settings, in case you messed up something (thanks for the idea, mallman).
- The maximum characters on left button link are now 50, this seems to be the correct limitation.
- Changed the order of the plugins, the 4 most used I've seen around are now the first.
- The splashScreen and exit screen take now exacly 1 second to dissapear, sorry about this, but it needs to load and save a lot of variables and registry settings.
To use:
-------
- Have WM6.5 º_^
- Install Flash 7 (Flash Lite 3.1 doesnt work).
- Install the latest CAB.
- You have 5 empty tabs available at start.
- To load a plugin just press the tab you want and a new area appears, where you can select one of the (currently) available 25 plugins.
- If you want to change the order of the plugins simply drag it to the one you want to trade with.
- To remove, drag it to the trash area.
- Once you select a plugin to the last button the layout will change to 5, 10, 16 or 24 tabs. I dont think anyone uses more than 24 at the same time, but I can add more in the future.
- To add new plugins, in the select plugin area, choose NEW PLUGIN, and there you can write the name (optional) and code of the plugin (code example: CClock).
- When the final version is out, updating to the latest plugins should be as simple as updatin the data.txt file.
- You can also write a plugin GROUP (for example, Code: CClock;CHome;ATFavePeople), this lets you have your favorite plugins all in one tab. Its not needed for now, since you have all the current plugins to choose from, but... this is usefull to me, since I can add in the weather or twitter tab all the different plugin names existing and it only shows the ones you have installed. ^_^
- You can also select all of the available tabs or select none, cleaning all your customizations.
- Restore is only used in case something goes horribly, horribly wrong...
- As before, the left softkey button can be changed in its own area. Use the special buttons wisely.
Older versions on post #3 below.
To do:
------
- Add icon to CS2P plugin
- Add icon to TWolf plugin
- Add icon to CDigiClock plugin
- Add a "NOT INSTALLED" warning on plugins that you dont currently have (if it can be done).
- Add a online update to the data.txt file (thats the plugin database, its on the same folder as the Titanizer).
- Read the "real" registry names, not just my saved database.
Thanks to:
------
I used a today screen refresher from hotdog53 and Wedge helped a lot in the code (wouldnt work without it) and creating the CAB.
-----
Atention, Showaco released CHome Editor!
It has much more options and its very customizable! ^_^
Nice one, i'll try it. Used "Titanium Customizer" atm. Lets see which one win!
_________Version 7:__________
Version 7:
---------------
- All new.
- Previous versions removed, because after version 7 the editor changed completly.

Did u think that Ok, yours is much easier than customizer.. But both of them should do their work!
But i wonder if its possible to add a new panel to titanium.. Maybe with Prog. shortcuts, or something else. What do u think ?!
This project is no longer active due do a hard-drive crash and my loss of the source code.. To anyone looking for an active and up-to-date solution, I would suggest naong's MobileSense and his BackgroundChanger. It is very similar to MS3Config and I believe he will be implementing more features as time goes on.
Spb Mobile Shell 3 Configuration Utility (MS3Config v0.16)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a small application I am developing that I hope will evolve into a full-fledged skin editor for Spb Mobile Shell 3. At the moment it only has the ability to change panel backgrounds (among some other helpful tool options), but it has a decent GUI and is unique in that it does not overwrite any changes that have previously been made to your copy of MS3 by other skins or widget packs... I have a long way to go but take a look at the features in the changes list and the planned features below it... Please give as much feedback as possible, good or bad, and don't hesitate to make suggestions... This is my attempt at giving back to the community, please enjoy it ...

Have you tried changing the backgrounds to some of your own? I installed the app on my friend's Mogul this morning and noticed that everything was patched correctly but only half of the panels actually showed backgrounds ...
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the resolutions of the images I included are meant for VGA displays ...
Try changing the images to something smaller and let me know what happens

What is the installation folder for your copy of MS3? .. The folder with MobileShell.exe in it ...
I found a bug:
It worked great and changed the backgrounds just like intended. But I am using the titanium theme for MS3 and when you scroll down the new background ends you scroll into the old background. It seems your program crops the image to your screen size and thats all.

Works just fine on my QVGA, havent tried it on VGA devices. This is very good work. I hope this will eventually be fully integrated with all Themes, widgets etc. Yes, this is very much needed!!

I'm still learning the specifics regarding the scrolling behavior and backgrounds but I'll look into it as soon as possible ...
You say that scrolling past the background you set with MS3Config will show the background from the Titanium theme below it? ... Which panels do you see this behavior and do you have a link to a download of the Titanium theme handy? I'm away from my desktop but I'll try to reproduce the problem you are describing.

I'd like to announce my latest app, 3 months in the making: Avatar! Avatar is a photo dialer with the ultra-smooth scrolling and low memory footprint characteristics you love about iContact and iDialer.
Avatar is extremely easy to use:
Flick to scroll among your contacts. Contacts without pictures will not show up.
Tap an avatar to bring up details. This is where iContact integration kicks in: if iContact is installed, Avatar will use it. If not, it will bring up the standard contact manager.
Tap-and-hold on an avatar to call using that contact's "smart property": the one that shows up in the standard contact manager. "<m>" = mobile, "<w>" = work, "<h>" = home, etc.
That's it! Easy!
Avatar features:
low memory footprint - only around 100KB on VGA
Works on all screens: VGA, QVGA, WVGA, WQVGA, Square
AppToDate support
Ultra-smooth scrolling
Integrates with iContact and iDialer

WOW!
Works great on imate 9502 wm6.1!
Impressive, as always.
But, can we have a way to close the program?
However...
Fdc Task Manager show 0% cpu usage when minimized.
Am I wrong? Amazing if this is true
Toggle
I made Mortscript prg to toggle Avatat display on/off through HButton.
AT = ReadFile ("\Storage Card\My Todays\a.txt")
If (AT = 1)
AT = 0
Minimize (Avatar)
WriteFile ( "\Storage Card\My Todays\a.txt" , AT )
Exit
EndIf
Run ("Storage Card\Program Files\Avatar\Avatar.exe")
AT = 1
WriteFile ( "\Storage Card\My Todays\a.txt" , AT )
Exit
Just requires a folder named "My Todays" on the Storage Card, a simple text file in that folder named "a" containing either a "1" OR "0" to start.
Then create a shortcut to your windows start menu, then hook up with HButton.
How about the first contact icon (top left) and last icon in avatar to minimize?
Or a left to right swipe across screen to minimize?
This addition to the iContact/iDialer/GreenButton family is awesome!
nice work as always mate .
Excellent.
How about displaying a generic image/photo for contacts without custom pictures?

Nope, it's a simple install.
Closing Avatar....
If you touch the top right corner of the screen it will exit the program. (It stays running in the background though).
If you want it to COMPLETELY close after you exit, point your registry editor to
HKCU/SOFTWARE/SUPWARE.NET/AVATAR/exitOnMinimize
and change the value from zero (0) to one (1).
Hope it helps!

Its very, very good...
I'm thinking of using it instead of iContact even...
Atention that the link on http://www.supware.net/Avatar/ points to another thread.
Just a few thought, there could be some extra options to:
- See the default taskbar (easier to close)
- Close on action (I saw the registry tip and noticed they are both there, eheheh)
- Switch click methods (click to call, press to see info)
- See all contacts, the ones without photo would have the default avatar picture (some I just cant get a photo easily).
Thank you for another great work!
I tried it again, today, must have been my xperia, i rebooted it etc. Great app, I have been using while driving, lot easier and safer.

Thanks for the feedback! (and everyone else too)
I fixed the link on my web site, thanks. For your #3, I originally had it switched, but I ended up accidentally calling people all the time. I think the way it is now is safer. For #4, I thought about that too, but my list would then look like mostly default avatars with a couple pictures every now and then. In that case, using a photo dialer is more annoying than just a text list of names like iContact. I thought perhaps if changing it to display a "category" instead of "all contacts" it would be better to display default avatars, but right now it can't display a single category. Maybe in the next version
I really love this app. Possible enhancement: being able set the contacts to match a category. This way if you want only a certain group you can set that, like an office setting and weekend setting.

That's a good idea. I've been thinking how to best handle that, and how to integrate it with iContact.
Fantastic app.
On my Diamond some photo contacts appear distorced, would be nice an option to show the photos in the real proportions (cutting the top&bottom or left/right sides).
lob
great app! don't add default avatar images, the point is that only your "favourites" are showing up - the people you cared to add image for.
for that reason, it may make sense to add an extra button to the iContact app (on the bottom) which would open the Avatar! For me that would be more useful than the current iContact favourites, which is only a(n incomplete) category filter (without separation/scrolling by first letter, nor the option to chose a category different than the favoured...)
Thinking in this way - best solution would be that the favourites button is changed to open avatar button.
DEVELOPMENT STOPPED!
In case anyone still bothered - sorry! But I'm personally not even using TBL anymore because in the meanwhile Cookie's Sense mod does everything I need. Due to Windows mobile platform dying I also see no reason to continue anyway!
This is my first contribution to this board! It's a little tool that shows a customizeable launch pad when you hit the taskbar. If you don't like this launch pad you can also launch something else instead. You can also say to launch nothing at all --> this also disables HTC Notification, Samsung notification if you're on OMNIA, or the annoying taskbar from newer 6.5.x builds.

Attention: Current version is designed for newer 6.5.x builds of Windows Mobile with the start menu on bottom. Taskbar Launcher is blocking all other applications from the taskbar, so it might be a bad idea to use it when your Start menu is still on top.

0.1 BETA [01/22/2010] (518 downloads)
Initial release
Installation
Run the CAB file on your phone. All files are copied into program files directory. There's also a shortcut installed in \Windows\Startup to automatically launch it after reboot. After installation the Taskbar Launcher is not yet running. But since BETA 0.4 there's now also a shortcut in Startmenu/Programs to launch the configuration tool. When finished then it will automatically run Taskbar Launcher.
Usage
Hit the taskbar and then the icon of the program you want to launch. Hit the taskbar again or tap anywhere out of the launcher window to close it. You can also tap and hold anywhere in the window and a little popup menu appears. Here you can stop Taskbar launcher.
Since BETA 0.4 the taskbar is divided into three parts. By default settings hitting in the middle of taskbar shows the Taskbar launcher like previously known. Hitting on the left runs HTC Notification. Hitting on the right runs Taskbar launcher's internal Task Manager.
If enabled, then with a gesture the screen can be rotated. Slide from left to right to rotate counter-wise, slide from right to left to rotate in the other direction. Of course this works also when the launcher popup is still hidden.
Since beta 0.5 the gestures to switch application are used by default. Slide from right to left to switch to next application, slide from left to right to switch to previous application.
In beta 0.5 I have also fully replaced the standard taskbar. In the middle you see the time. Left is indication about signal strength, right is indication about battery level. If a GRPS connection is open then the icon in the very left changes to a RED circle. If a WIFI connection is open then the icon changes to YELLOW. The battery icon in the very right changes, depending whether you have connected your phone to power supply or not.
Customization
In [General] section you can active/deactive Taskbar launcher. When deactivated then the program is still running in the background, but taskbar remains as usual. There's also a value to edit the timeout after which the taskbar launcher window automatically closes if user doesn't do anything. Default = 5 = 5 seconds.
Next comes section for taskbar replacement. By default this is enabled, the ini file key is Style = 1. To disable it and use the default Windows taskbar simply set Style = 0. There's few more keys which point to images which indicate current battery/connection state.
Then there are three sections for each part of the taskbar: Area1, Area2, Area3. For each area you can setup the following:
Launch mode. There are 4 modes:
0 --> nothing happens when you hit the task bar
1 --> enable the customizeable launch pad
2 --> when hitting the taskbar then launch something else
3 --> show the taskbar's launcher internal task manager
LaunchExe and LaunchParam is executed if LaunchMode is 2.
Since beta 0.6 searches the icon for the exe automatically. usually the icon seen in Start menu should be shown. If you want to have another icon (or have some custom things like HTC Notification) then you still can specify a PNG file.
In [CustomLauncher] section you can change the image used for background picture. The file is supposed to be the relative path to the program file directory. Don't add absolute paths. Currently you can't add path to a file in \Windows directory.
In [CustomTaskman] you can set a background image. There's also a key "NoIcon=..." which points to an image that is shown if Task manager was unable to retrieve the icon for an application. Usually this shouldn't happen. If you see this icon, please report!!!
In [CustomCmds] you add the list of tools you need. Always increment the ID by 1. In the section for each tool you add a PNG file used as icon (relative paths again), executable file (absolute path) and an optional parameter. You can also leave out the PNG file then the default (also shown in Windows Start menu) will be used.
Some of the INI file settings are immediately applied by Taskbar launcher, for example when changing Active setting or any of the run modes. However when changing shortcuts in the launcher window or when modifying any of the PNG files then you have to restart Taskbar Launcher.
Internal commands
Some people might already have noticed, instead of exe files you can also add some commands which are internally processed by TBL. The following commands are available:
$ROTATELEFT --> rotate screen left for 90 degrees
$ROTATERIGHT --> rotate screen right for 90 degrees
$ROTATELEFTBACK --> rotate screen left into landscape, by next call return to previous portrait mode
$ROTATERIGHTBACK --> rotate screen right into landscape, by next call return to previous portrait mode
$HTCNOTIFICATION --> launch HTC notification window
$HOME --> switch to home screen (i.e. Titanium or Manila)
$MANILA --> switch to Manila and select "Home" page
$STARTMENU --> show Window's start menu
$SWITCHTONEXTAPP --> switch to next app
$SWITCHTOPREVAPP --> switch to previous app
Since beta 0.6 it's also possible to use any of these commands as command line parameters. i.e.:
tbl.exe $HTCNOTIFICATION
This can be launched any time, no matter if tbl.exe is already running.
Future plans
Add/remove/edit the programs in the launch pad directly from the application.
Add more functionality into configuration GUI
Add possibility to close apps from Task manager
nice app.

Hi!
This is a perfect opportunity to reincarnate a useful feature that Microsoft have abandoned: The recently launched apps found on top of start-menu in WM6.1 but ditched in WM6.5
I find "recently launched apps" more useful than taskman.
I think WM6.5.3 status-bar by default pops large notification icons when you tap it. Your great program can be positioned under it rather than replacing it.
cheers!

thanks a lot for your support! Highly appreciated!!!
HTC Notification is running as a service, so you can't just call it to launch the window. One has to find a way to trigger the service to show the window. Maybe it's enough to just send a command to the HTC notification window? I try to check it...

I can add support for this in the next release. Maybe it's sufficient to say if you want to overwrite the default notification icons or not. And with another setting you could customize the position of the Taskbar Launcher window. The problem might only be that this is resolution dependent so you need a setting for each resolution....
I would love to see a taskmanager in that space, where you can easily switch between apps and close them
Very nice app! Thanx a lot.

The next version will support all screen sizes. The icons will be automatically scaled down when running on smaller resolutions and through an ini file setting you can change size by yourself if you need bigger or smaller icons. I'm currently testing on Samsung Omnia which got a 240x400 screen.

Wow, great news. Thanks for the update
a taskmanager w/ that look would be great!
Create link to the HTC Home Screen
I installed the "Taskbar Launcher" and it is great. I am customizing the launch pad and I created a link to access memory by creating a link file (20#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4). However, I am still unable to create a link to the HTC Home Tab 0. I tried this link: 23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,13,0, but it doesn't work. Could you help me with the link file that I should use. Thanks in advance.

does it work when directly running the lnk file? if yes, be sure you describe the full path to the link in the tbl.ini file.
In the next version you can also specify parameters for each comands. I just tried and added "Memory" by directly calling the ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4 (without .lnk file) and it's working.
HTC Sense Home Tab 0
Thank you for your prompt response. I tried the "Memory" command and it works. I think that my command for the " HTC Sense Home Tab 0" is incorrect. Do you know the command I should be using. Thanks.
