I have got a keylock on my s740, how can i unlock it?

I think reading the manual and all the infroamtion on the screen helps.
HINT: press top-left button under the screen and read the instructions.

How do I align the screen

This may sound a daft question but the alignment is so far out I cannot select the option from the menu.
Is there anyway to get it to re-align. I've tried a hard reset but can't get it to.
Thanks in advance
Emo
Try this
Press the "action" key then "calendar" button if you can't find the screen alignment function in your start menu. This should bring you to the screen alignment process.
Worked for me during my gsm error... hope it works for you too.
Many, Many thanks. This worked (once I'd worked out which one was the action key  )

Keylock password

hi experts,
i got a Like new S740 on ebay(condition is really good), the only problem is when i turn on the device, it asked me for a password, not the "SIMLOCK" code.
here's the exact wording:
the device is locked. Enter your device password and click unlock.
then there is a box underneath for me to enter the code.
im 100000% sure this is not the "sim" unlock code as it was asked on a seperate screen before this screen pops up...and this still being asked even i don't put the sim in.
i tried to ask the original seller.
he said there shouldn't be a code.
but in the mean is there a solution for me?
anyway to hard reset it but won't brick my phone?
Thanks
i m really out of luck?
thanks

Click to collapse
That should do it. maybe the seller set the option to ask for password when a new sim is inserted and forgot about it. Just hard reset and you should be ready to go..

CM7 screen lock problem!

hey, now I am using the CM7, I found that (it also happened in Vegan), sometime , i press the power bottom, for I want to lock and close the screen. But if i touchthe four keys("search, home, menu, back", most time, the "search", "home", "menu" will not unlock the screen~ but the "back" key will unlock screen every time) in the top right corner, the screen will be unlocked(sometimes, I only click it once, sometimes, maybe 3,4 times, anyway, it is easy to unlock it by these four keys for careless)...
I tried some screen lock app... but still the same situation~
so is there any method which can lock the screen that only the power bottom can unlock it ?
thanks!
anyone here?????
still no one?????

Changing the long press/double tap behavior ~ Galaxy S2

Hi,
I've changed the behavior of standard hardware buttons from /system/usr/keylayout.kl. But what about the long press behavior, or double tap?! I want to hold Home button for rotate screen, and hold Menu button to anything else than google search.
Someone know's how?
Thanks in advice!
Well... >100 visitors but no response ))
I will just try harder to find a response to my question, like in every post that i wrote here )
Try and app called "homemyhome".
You are the MAN !!!
Thank you VERY VERY much, is a very good application, is for double tap and is very ok. If you find some for Menu button, don't ezitate to tell me...
Thanks again!
I used the app called Advanced Home Button....
Must be rooted...

Softkeys not responsive

Hi
I have a problem with my XP; suddenly my softkeys have become a lot less responsive. It's the menu key in particular; the back key is the most responsive (a slight tap will do), the home key is ok but you need to press a bit harder and with the whole thumb and not just the fingertip) while I have to repeatedly hit the menu key for it to work. I did go for a run with my phone in my hand, after which I wiped the phone with a damp tissue, so I don't know if that was the perspiration or the water or whatever that affected the softkeys. I am aware that I can get softkeys through rooting but if I can't solve this I want to send it back to the shop so I don't want to root just yet.
Its always good if u just slide ur finger a bit instead of just touching them on soft keys.....

Thanks for your reply but that doesn't work for me for the Menu key. It's even worse than before now
PS if it's any significance the menu key doesn't light up as brightly as the others.
