Can someone tell me how i can install a software to let me HTC diamond 2 able to read traditional chinese. Rite now the chinese are just display with a squar. I looked through the forum and found sunglobe. but i tried installing that work not sure why can anyone help? thx

You need a chinese language package.
Use this language pack

just to view Trad Chi chars, you only need uhei00m-gray.cab
to use chi as default locale, install usemynls.cab as well
if you want chinese input as well, install your favorite input method like kuma ime, touchpal and etc
i hv inshalled chinese support n i can read the chinese fonts in my 6.5 rom (I tried 6.5 rom like Duttys Topaz R1, Duttys Topaz 6.5 leo n Energyrom topaz StandardM2.5). but even i inshalled chinese hand writing ime but its didnt show on ime menu so I cant choose when I need hand writing input. Does anyone know how can I call up the handwriting ime show in menu? can anybody help?

Weird. If he already has a Chinese ROM image, then he would not even need to do all these. It would already be able to read and write Chinese~

To enable chinese writing in your device
1. Get a chinese font and put it in /windows folder
2. Create a link in registry to link the font so that system can use them
I have attached the chinese font i used with the reg file in the Chinesefont.rar
**Note that you CAN use any other chinese font, you just have to edit the .reg to link the font to your system eg. sunglobe
**New added sunfon cab simply install it to read chinese!!

To enable chinese writing
i had tried many SIP and not many is working for WM6. For wm5 thats no issues except conflicts with other SIP especially PhonePad.
For WM5
I recommended you to use PlumSIP 5.0.2 as it has T9 Pinyin and T9 Eng+T9 Dictionary!! So even if PhonePad conflict and cant be used, you can still use it for T9 Eng
**Notes it lacked the auto space after selecting a word for T9 Eng.
For WM6 AKU0.3
I cant get anyother chinese SIP to install except PlumSIP5 PPC10 Beta 0615.CAB. So no choice, although theres conflict with phonepad(not included in this release). At least you can type chinese and english on this keyboard

For WM6 AKU0.7 beta
I managed to get ZTA4_PPC2005_QVGA_SIP_v2.0.14.CAB and PhonePad (builtin the ROM) working!! Thank to Jiggs to solve the PhonePad issue!!
**Notes need to switch to ZTA4 for T9 Chinese and PhonePad for T9 Eng. Although sounded troublesome, but its working great with no conflicts switching between both of them
For WM6 AKU0.7
I preferred to use PlumSIP6 as it had better T9 Eng and T9 Pinyin + large keyboard with PCMkeyboard's indicator of pressed key!! However it has conflict with builtin phonepad, either one of them or both will fails to load. To solve this issue.
1. Use sktool =>> Maintenance =>> Services =>> disable the "IntelliPadService", set it to "manual" too.
2. Use sktool =>> Maintenance =>> Window startup =>> click and hold on "PlumStart6.exe" =>> goto "order" =>> select "up" (repeat till its the highest)
***Notes please install only 1 chinese SIP.
BTW...thanks for this info. I'm a non-native Chinese speaker in China and just bought the Atom. This is great stuff. Now... any input methods for WWE that let you write (by hand) Chinese character? My writing is poor, but it would help me use my dictionary better.

SKTools registry explorer imports this without a problem. If you have trouble with Resco, download the trial SKTools and work from there.

it still doesn't work, i used the the other program from another post, but it seem the program isn't not allow to write any text message, it just only the white screen and i couldn't write anythings in there

Just to be more clear before i can help.
1. Wat is the main problem you had? Read or Write?
2. If you can read Chinese now, which SIP did you install?
3. Did the SIP installed properly? Or successfully?
4. Wat you mean by blank? While trying to activate the input panel?
5. Wat other SIP and Today item did you install?
6. Interested to install the aku0.7 cos since phonepad is fixed it might fix your issue too.

Thank you for your help , i already solve out the chinese reading problem , but it got one more left problem......the input layout problem , i want to use handwriting to write out the chinese letter
Million thanks !!! Because my Atom Exec was running OK after WM6 (Eng) but after intalled the CE-Star or Monster Chinese, it was locked up and needed to be hard reset. Please help...

After installed the Chinese Fonts and IME (ime-msjh.cab), I found there is no additional or Chinese IME inside. Of cause I have installed both DisableSecurity.cab & Enable_No_Policy.cab. Please kindly advise. Thanks.
I think no one will develop the Traditional Chinese ROM because Simplified Chinese will have more people use

If u wants to have the Simplified Chinese, I think u can install the Simplified Chinese ROM because Atom Exec have Simplified Chinese WM6 ROM. But u needs to search in this forum...

Did you find the solution? I do have a soft called asiareader which can be used for reading of Japanese and Korean (not always properly). Not sure if it can show also Chinese, but don't think there'll be a problem because it's showing kanji for me. However, you can NOT write in any of those languages - yeah, a reader.
I'll be also glad to find out how to type in Japanese and Korean on my Qtek 8500 (same ROM as yours), without flashing any asia ROM.

I do fix the problem with charlieluo's help.He sent me a cab file called EnableChinese.cab.After install this the English system can show chinese correctly.In order to input chinese I install a input program called A4.Now I enjoy it!

After going though countless forums looking for Chinese Traditional support and IMEs that works on WM6.5 I have found a solution for those interested.
download and install droid.cab from:
http://www.studiokuma.com/wm/?section=support
This font supports chinese traditional, japanese, korean and english. It was a font taken from android and optimized for PDA/PPC. Take note of the size! Google managed to squeese 4 languages into a size normally one language cab file will take!
Due to this optimization, I read it is also less taxing on the CPU, keeping your device zippy.
For IME I use one found in this xperia x1 thread:

This IME uses English pinyin/phonetics to find the chinese you are looking for. Good for learners and the chinese prediction is excellent. (I think it is modded to work with CHT??)
I have tested this on my current WWE udk R6 rom for Topaz, I have tested contacts creation/editing, sms, web browsing and for me it is by far the best solution in terms of the time required to learn the IME and the word prediction. The only downside is that PlumSIP itself uses chinese simplified in its menus but should not be too hard to figure out.

I am actually trying to create a cab from the oem package IME_CHT_2_0_344910_00 from the "RUU_Topaz_hTC_Asia_TW_1.40.709.1_Radio_Sign_Topaz_61.25t.25.19_3.44.25.27_Ship.exe" rom.
The package was converted to a cab with pkg2cab.exe tool (cabtools 0.3) but seems that it does not work on my udk r6 rom. After reset, my phone just hangs. I'll do some comparisons with some IMEs that do work and see if I can figure out the difference. Perhaps I have to remove the WWE IME before I can install the IME_CHT?

I don't know about the CHT IME, but I guess you changed the font as well.
When I changed font to make japanese characters available, I needed to change wince.nls as well. If I use wince.nls from WWE ROM the phone does not boot.
well, in terms of Chinese input method, i find TouchPal much better than HTC ezInput. i'm quite happy with my current config:
WWE rom + chinese font display + ezInput English + TouchPal
I have taken a look at TouchPal and it looks pretty good but the only thing is that you'd have to pay. I Suppose you can get it on torrents but I'd like to get the htc package working, might try to cook it in the rom. Something to do for this Sunday

Most likely you can't do this without re-flashing your phone to an English (WWE) ROM.
The only thing you could try is to hard reset the phone as I read that with some ROMs you get a language selection option then but I guess most likely this won't work either.
I bought my Touch 2 in Germany and therefore it was in German. I had to re-flash it to a WWE ROM too to change it to English too.
First you have to install HardSPL on your Touch 2 to bypass the Vendor ID check. You can find the instructions on how to do that in the thread "HardSPL kit for Mega Touch2 by jockyw2001"
Then just go ahead and flash you phone with WWE Asia - 1.28.707.3 from this thread "Mega - ROM - Hotfix - User Manual - roll-up thread"
You could flash WWE Europe - 1.28.401.4 too but then you'll have that supid EU volume limit so I would rather go with the WWE Asia ROM.
