When you download a rom upgrade, you will find a text file read_this_first.
Well read it first!
Then ask questions for parts you didn't understand well.

Can you tell us what happens when you put the pda in its craddle?
Do you see any error message about an unknown device ?

well, welcome on board and good you chose a niki rather than some other device ;-)
.) first make sure your phone is unlocked - if not search for unlock tool.
.) if it is unlocked - proceed with this to get another bootloader.
.) once finished you can choose a rom from netrunner and flash whatever niki rom you want.
this should be enough for the moment for you to start getting familiar with the niki. please do not expect the community to be a place where you get everything without reading through the articles. i am sure everyone is delighted to help when you do have a specific problem which has not occured before - but not if one is too lacy to read ;-)

This site is free, and yes, you have to do all the work. Otherwise, you pay and let someone else do the work for you.
rainbow colours on touch dual
Pls i need help !! i try change language on my touch dual, but now the fone displays rainbow kcolours ,it happen during flashing and stop at 99% ,
i repeat the same procedue it start and stop at 1%
now it still remains at rainbow colours .
Pls i need help to solve this problem .

The rainbow colours is the bootloader screen. Flashing will fail is the phone is locked to a provider, ie CID locked. You will need to get the original rom that your phone had and flash that to rescue it. Post a general request for the provider's ROM, or do a search to see if it has been posted.

get your phones original rom put that back on next
make sure you have hardspl 1.22 on

I have upgrade the atom with the hp rom version 1.12.00wwe, 1.00.01BL. The rom was successfully upgraded but when the atom restart, they will not boot and resetting agin and agin. I have tried to enter bootloader but i can't.
Please help in this regard

Go to ATOM wiki and see instructions to recover Semi BRICK ATOM.. sometimes if u r lucky.. u may retreive ur ATOM..
mmm really pitty.. u used a HP ROM..
Im able to see the JPG on the start showing HP IPAQ NHOCBANME
version 1.12.00 WWE
1.00.01 BL
but we are unable to connect it via usb cable and also unable to enter the bootloader...
Also after showing the JPEG it continuolsy start reseting and coming back again on JPEG ....
Hi madil, I encountered the same problem as yours, and I found a way to recover the bootloader to your xda atom, read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2184254#post2184254, hoping my solution would help you as well, and just hope that I'm not too late

Oh oooooo You flash atom by Hp rom , so that use JTAG only.
my friend flashed htc gene with a custom rom with elf's spl in it now my device wont start
led blinks for sometime
no bootloader
no soft or hard reset
no jtag method helps plzzz

You need to flash with the original rom that came with your advantage.
As far as I can remember you can only do the hard spl from an activesync connection so flash the right rom first.
I don't know what is my right ROM for my HTC.And don't have support in HTC.COM...

The bootloader screen you showed is of an unlocked athena
This is the wiki page

try to load the wwe ones first and once you have done this apply the unlocker from olipro to be able to load cooked roms
Once this has been done you should have spl 1.2 and will be able to load spl 1.2 roms
Of course , most of the latter roms are SPL 3.5 which is changed by using the AP4 rom.

To load from the sd card you need to extract the nbh file from the package and rename it athe.nbh (or something like that)
you also have to remove the sim card.
did you do this?
If you did, you are probably experienced and you could try talking to cmonex on IRC
She still uses this mc and helped write the unlocker software

did you get to talk to her on irc or did you just try it?
I saw you post last night but I was too busy to talk.
I thought from what y ou posted that your SPL was not corrupted.
