So I've got a xv6850 Raphael CDMA through Verizon
Rom version: 1.08.605.4
Rom Date: 03/18/2009
Radio Version: 1.03.09V
I've been travelin the inter-web trying to find a 'Reliable' ROM that will speed up my phone and free up the crappy ram accompanied with the Verizon version of the Touch Pro. I'd also like a touchflo 3d version that has facebook embedded into it, Kitchen, and a pagepool of 8. But without loosing any of the features my phone comes with now. I def want to still use GPS. My problem is that I can't find a ROM (maybe it's just me) that can do all of this. Will i need to download verizon files after i install the rom? I guess my main question is where can i find all of this? Could someone lend a n00b a hand?
Thank you so much for your assistance.
Check out sskusers.net. Scott makes some ROM's that are specific for the VZW TP and has all the latest and greatest stuff.

Ditto....I've been using his as well. I've tried them all (well, just about) and found some that just run out of gas on our memory inhibited Verizon device. SSK's is about the best balance I have found.
If we only had more RAM....life would be good.
Mark
I have tried most and keep going back to JD's. The free memory is great. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=73860
Check out SSK for sure, I've flashed about 12 roms in the last 3 weeks and SSK's are by far the most stable and seem to work best on the handicapped VZW TP.

I have been silly enough to mod everyones phones at work. Every week someone new comes in with a Mogul. Now everyone I have flashed to the new leaked rom is super pissed LOL because of the insane bugs.
If someone would be kind enough to help me out here I would be forever in debt. I have the radio flash on hand. I just need to extract those drivers some how for the gps and get them on the 2.17 rom or a nice DCD version of that rom. I am in disbeliefe that nobody has done this yet.
Please please help me out here!

DCD has his super extra clean roms for the new 3.16 os for most (if not all) carriers. Just use his. Im guessing you need the sprint version because of the mogul
The GPS driver can not be installed in the < 3.x roms, you need the new radio which is incompatible with those roms.
Does anyone know where I can find the original rom for the Touch Dual Us Version? I was trying to update my dual to a the Diamond interface and now my phone is stuck in SPL Tri-Color mode. I tried the Recover HTC Touch from tricolors RUU boot-loader (mtty), but it does not seem to work for the dual. I tried to use the Telstra Rom but is loads at about 3% and then tells me that it is not compatible with my phone... Anyone experienced the sort of issue? Is there a universal "unbricker" of some sort?
Hey man, I have a Neon 300 as well. I've only been able to get one ROM working beyond the factory (which I don't have). The ROM that's worked nearly flawlessy is :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398180
It would be awesome if more people started cooking for the NEON300, but it doesn't seem to be taking off quickly.
If you happen to find the OEM ROM for the NEON300 let me know. I'd be almost willing to PAY for it at this point.
The only thing I saved from the original ROM was the version numbers at bootup, for reference. Here are those versions:
ROM: 2.21.422.04
ROM Date: 05-06-08
Radio: 1.65.20.19
If anyone can find the ROM above, I'd be willing to click your "PayPal" button. Oh yes, and pay as well.

Interesting radio version. Is that the shipped ROM on your phone or did you download it from somewhere?
That's the stock ROM for the US Touch Dual. I'll try and extract it from mine when I get home tonight.
Thanks for the link to that rom but the link is down... Do you happen to have a copy? Does anyone happen to have a copy? Also, if I come across the original rom I will be sure to post it!!
Someone was kind enough to already extract the rom here-
Based on the versions, it's the one you want. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2258400&postcount=9
Thanks for the link gammaguy but I have a NEON... That link is for a NIKI dump

Its actually a NEON300 ROM dump and just titled incorrectly. Seth2001 and I used it for porting. Seth2001 ported for Neon's and I ported for Niki's.
What do I do with the .raw files???

Did I hear PAY?!? So.. How much?
After days & days of searching over the course of a few months for a stock rom for my Touch Dual US NEON300 with no luck (not to say some cooked roms aren't nice but there is something about being able to put things back to stock if needed eases my anxiety of trying out other roms & unfortunately a lack of RUU from HTC kept me from flashing anything on mine for months so it sat idle in a drawer UNTIL NOW!) I have dumped my stock NEON300 & posted a rebuild:
HTC Touch Dual US NEON300 WWE 2.21.422.04 Stock Rebuild
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3398273#post3398273
It isn't a true stock rom but until HTC gives a rat's #%@ and releases an official RUU version it is probably the closest thing to it available.
Can I hear a "OH YEAH!" lol

If you're interested I can post the kitchen setup I used to rebuild the official NEON ROM awhile back but I never did figure out how to rebuild the radio.

Sounds good to me. Been a long time since I played with a kitchen and I'd like to get back into the swing of things.
NEON300 Rebuild Kitchen
Howdy All,
Sorry for the SUPER long delay but life has been hectic with a new baby & moving into a new house so getting together the NEON300 kitchen has been from from my mind. On top of that I grabbed a new hard drive & put Win7 on my system a few months back so I had to hook up my old drive to grab stuff off and wow is it a mess! To make matters worse it has been so long since I did the NEON300 rebuild I have a hard time remembering what is what & what I did so I'll either have to post up the ENTIRE dir tree I used (which is 1.2GB or 707MB rar'd because it has all the extracted ROM files which are normally dropped into place in the kitchen plus all the files extracted from those during the rebuild so it's pretty huge. There are about 600M of what I recall are folders I renamed during testing that could probably be removed but tough for me to know without doing a rebuild myself) *or* I need to take the time to essentially rebuild it all again from scratch so I know what is needed & the procedure. And of course I sold my last NEON a few months back so I have no way of testing either.
Anyhow I'll dig through what I have & see if I can make heads or tails of it but in the meantime if someone seriously wants what I have let me know & I'll figure something out. That'll teach me for not taking notes at the time. :|

ram 448mb
rom 512mb
using new radio originally on a 51 radio as using a uk hd2
no matter what combination it seems to show this after jumping to kernel
can anyone help?
tried chucky rom and latest standard rom but no luck
pulling my hair out
anyone?
my startup.txt seems to be worth a try what should it contain?
thanks anyway
eventually worked by using the new official tmobile rom
this updated the rom and also the radio
now working fine
this is nice and easy for people if they dont want to tinker as it basically means
download tmobile rom
run that
copy android to sd
away you go
no messing with spl
just thought id post my solution as people have a habit of not doing this, which means their thread has no use.
thanks
Hello everybody, I am new in matter of Smarth Phones and more even, on HTC one's...
I have a HTC HD2 T-Mobile
Qualcomm 8250B 1ghz procesador
576 RAM
1024 Flash Memory Size
687.12 MB Storage Size
16 GB Micro SD memory
OS vrsion 5.2.219.13 (21913.5.0.94)
Manila version: 2.5.20181424.0
ROM version: 3.14.531.1 (04666) WWE
Radio Version: 2.15.50.14
Protocol Version: 15.42.50.11U
I want to know 4 things:
What is the ¨Radio¨ thing, as I said, I am new in this so I want to know what it is and what is it about, cause I hear people talking about fixing their bugs and freezes by changing it.... explanation?
What changes when changing the Radio? when you change it, it comes side by side with the ROM? or they are changed separatly...? (sorry about my english)
Can install ROMS for HTC HD2 normal version to a HTC HD2 T-Mobile version? without having problems?
And the last one.... I understand that the ROM is not the OS, since it is Win 6.5.... but.... what it is exactly then?... and can someone tell me about the MOST ESTABLE ROM available for my HTC HD2 T-Mobile? Doesn't matter if it's unofficial ROM, at least that it works fine and better than the original one that freezes a lot...?
PS. : I'm pretty good at computers (I like to think so...XD) and I learn fast, so please feel free to explain me how ever you can and I'll do my best to understand it. thnx!

Hi Emilio,
Let me try to answer your questions - someone correct me if I'm wrong... this is what I've understood from browsing the forums for a half a year now...
The radio in your phone is what controls all wireless access, such as wifi and cell reception. Different radios have different battery life/better reception depending on the cellphone - I haven't seen anyone come out and say one is the best although I have been using 2.15 for quite some time now and it's pretty good. Just remember your radio has to be 2.xx.50 because of your type of phone (T-Mobile/TMOUS) or else you will brick your phone (it wont work).
Some ROMs change your radio when you flash - although I haven't come across any custom ROMs that do. In any case, any time you flash make sure the ROM says TMOUS or T-mobile supported! Also, before you flash you need HSPL (search the forums to find out what it is and how to use it).
The ROMs the the awesome chefs here make are usually based on WM 6.5 or 6.5.x - but you dont have to worry about it. For all purposes its Windows Mobile 6.5.x or 6.5 and all windows programs work, etc.
Which ROM is best? That's a long argument. I've been using Energy Roms for quite some time now - every time I flash I always make my way back to Energy in the end. Just go through the ROM section - most ROMs are good (actually so far I haven't come across a bad one) and they are almost all much more stable and smoother. Just remember to make sure it's TMOUS compatible.
Flashing HSPL, Radios, and ROMs are in the forum and perfectly well explained... just search and you'll see.
thank you man!

thnx! a lot!
one thing missed in the otherwise comprehensive answer above...
you have 3.14 rom, so as it stands hspl cannot be installed so cooked roms and radios cannot be installed.
should you want to try the cooked roms you would first flash the stock tmous 2.10 rom, which willdowngrade your spl and hspl3 will work.
oh! so I have to get to my old rom first after changing to the Energy ROMS?
yep. there are 3.14 based cooked roms coming out but not many, most are 2.x based so require the downgrade.
you don't have to wait for the flash to completely set up and running before you flash the cooked rom, as soon as the flash finishes, and windows begins to set up, pop the battery and enter bootloader, apply hspl, enter bootloader again and flash the rom.
Hey there all, long time lurker here and just decided to create an account. I've just switched from the ever failing Symbian and bought myself an HD2 because of its well... Greatness, and ability to have so many OS on it
So I bought the device used, the TMOBILE version, and I've had plenty of time to play around with it for the time being.
My OS is 5.2.2193 (21913.5.0.94)
Manilla : 2.5.20181424.0
ROM version: 3.14.531.1 (04666) WWE
Radio: 2.15.50.14
I've just flashed HSPL 2.08 and that is about as far as i have gone.... being skeptical moving on to the next step, as I don't want to brick my phone. I've read things about the radio compatibility about some builds, and didn't want to risk turning my phone into a paperweight
Okay, so if you have read this far on about my ramblings then thank you!!
My goal is to flash one of the many android ROMs. The sd card that came with the phone is 16gb, and also my sd card is already formatted to fat32.
I'm trying to following one of the guides into flashing an android rom and it is recommending me that I install an upgraded wm6.5 first to improve the performance of android roms? If I am understanding this right I should be looking for a rom that that is not too heavily customized, using only all the basic functions right?
I was looking through the ROMS, and would like to try out NRGZ stock sense Energy build. I click the download link with the U.S. flag and it links me to a page with a few download links. I'm not too sure which one to download or all of them?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
Here's the link to NRGZ rom site, and I'm looking at the 3rd post the download link right under where it says "Reference"
Is this the best Rom I should be using or is there any other recommendations from some other veterans out there?
Hi rawsx glad you decided to become a member, so let me welcome you to XDA.
Either one of the ROMs I have listed below are the ones you want to download out of the list of ROMs that come up after you click on the download link.At least I think so rom the info in your post.

I think you are wanting to use a SD card also and not a NAND Andriod ROM cause you metioned your SD card and that it is recomended to flash a bare bones custom ROM. A NAND Andriod ROM would totally wipe Windows Mobile from your phone so this would be pointless if you were going NAND.
Also you mentioned radio compatibility and yes this is very true. The T-Mobile HD2 can not use all radios. If the radio has a 50 in the third set of numbers like this one here 2.15.50.14 then you are good. Do not flash any radio version tbat has a 51 in the tbird set of numbers. And also do not flash any radio that has these numbers 2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx. These and the 51 radios will brick/kill your T-Mobile HD2.
