Spare battery and charger - Touch Diamond2, Pure Accessories

Hi,
I do not like the battery life of my HTC TD2 and want to buy spare battery.
However on the HTC site only spare battery is provided without additional charger.
On the other hand is mother Ebay. $20 for charger +2 batteries + screen cover.
(Yes, I know it is quite suspicous regarding the price. But guys, do you think that these powersellers will sell something so untested...)
Has anyone tried such cheap batteries from ebay?
Or has anyone tried this set??

Spare Battery

Where is the best place to get a spare battery for my PDA2K in the UK?
Also, does it have a 'backup' battery like my 2210 had? How long will I have if I take my main battery out before I replace it with another one?

Extra battery or portable AA mini USB charger?

With my TYTN, I carried an extra battery with me so it's not a big deal to me to have to carry it. But HD's battery cover is different and I think to remove it a couple times a day bugs me a bit.
Should I just get an extra battery and stand alone battery charger or one of these that uses AA (rechargable, too) batteries?
It's not as portable as a HD battery but I don't have to touch the cover...
the cover has been very durable for me... i have an extra battery that i swap out from time to time and i have yet to have a problem. also invested in this portable charging device that's been working as advertised.

I just bought a 1500 mAh spare battery. Seems to me to be more convenient for carrying and I don't mind the swapping. I got the desktop cradle from before, so now I can just slip the spare battery into it and have it charge without being in the phone.

Yeah I guess an extra battery is the way to go. Besides I don't want to totally wear out my main battery. But portable charger does look interesting though and its sexier than the AA charger.
Where did everyone get their extra batt? Ebay?
don't go for a portable AA charger unless it says it's definitely TOuch HD compatible. I picked up a Energizer MiniUSB AA charger and it doesn't work with the HD... Worked fine with the X1 (switched off) though.
i got one from thinkgeek.com for like 20 bucks or so. i just throw a duracell rechargable 2400mAh battery in it and it works great whenever i need extra power. it also comes with tons of different adapters to fit most phones.
I bought my spare 1500 battery from Mugen power and it cost me 30$. You can find much cheaper batteries online, but Mugen seems to be a very reliable company with good customer reviews, so I didn't hesitate to pay extra for the safety.
I can also say the same for some of the gadgets people have mentioned here. While they're temptingly cheap and good looking, I would always do my homework and check online for reviews before plugging any electrical device into my Touch HD. One bad circuit in those portable chargers and it might as well end up being "bye-bye" to your phone.
This is especially important when buying stuff from China.
Yeah, I was thinking about either getting a legit battery or ebay batteries. I've read on an NYTimes article recently that a battery costs like $2 max to make. So if I pay $10 for a battery, they are still making a large profit.
Anyways, I'll probably end up getting the $30 batt.

Ah, well... You know that all parts needed to make iPhone cost like 50-60$, yet the final product will usually cost you 15 times more. That's just the way it is with everything, especially when it comes to gadgets.
God save the market shares of western-world companies once Chinese figure out how to make good high-tech devices. It's already happening on smaller scale.

OEM Battery? Wall charger for extra battery?

Has anyone seen anyone selling and OEM EVO 3D battery? I had a bad experience with cheap Chinese batteries, so I never buy them. I need an OEM.
Also, what about a wall charger for the extra battery. Has anyone seen one? Seidio will probably sell one, but I don't see it up yet.
I'm just curious as to what you mean by "a bad experience"? I also bought some cheapo $10 chinese batteries for my Evo, and they were great, except the build quality was crap, they basically fell apart on me after about 6 months. What happened to your battery?
On an older, dumb phone, I bought a Chinese extended battery. After about 3 months, the battery started causing my phone to reboot constantly. It took me a long time to figure it out. I vowed never to buy a knockoff battery again.

Has anyone yet seen a wall charger for an extra battery? I have my extra battery now, I just have no way to charge it.

Extended battery door

I recently bought the Anker 6400mah battery and have been very pleased with the performance. I was wondering if one of the generic battery covers from ebay for the 7000mah, 7500mah, 7800mah, or 6800mah extended batteries would work with the Anker battery. I want to do some experimenting and I don't want to mess up the cover that came with the Anker battery. Also just an FYI for those with extended batteries I found this case on ebay and I ordered it. I will let you know how it is when it gets here.

Spare Battery Charger

Besides the oem charger, which is the best quality spare battery charger? My anker charger broke after a few months of use, and from what I see Zero Lemon seems to sell the exact same charger only its rebranded. Are there any better options?
Were you using Anker batteries? Did you get them through Amazon or elsewhere? How did/do they compare to the standard battery in your opinion?
