I like to ask if there is any master/gurus of athena can cook an android hero os or software and runs it on our minisd card just like my htc titan 2 ( android hero os or emulator running on linux haret file running on a transcend 8gb class 6 microsd card ) . It is slightly slow , with a few bugs , no camera but hey it is something new to play around , and u dont need to flash any rom , when u like u can soft reset and it will goes back to wm6.1 with nothing changed or deleted , how nice n simple ! thks for reading , cheers - jimmunsw

Dont think you have much chance of this, the only build of android I have found is a very early development of v0.8 and it is not usable. There appears to be no development with the athena community for linux/android and to be honest even on the touch hd etc development is slow.

@addicted i ll b comin up wid the screenshots soon..gimme sometime to figure out things m tryin2 have more RAM around 28-29MB after normal usage..but at the other hand i hav removed Titanium and added a new today plugin HTC Plus lets see how things work out..i have made this ROM according to my Requirements coz m not at all an audio manager person i prefer using Windows media player wid the OLD Audiobooster which givs out tremendously superb audio effects wid a particular setting in the audio booster..and also wid less RAM usage..

But please note this :
Page pool : minemum for old GENE is 5mb , now i using 8MB depend on the program ( Spb Ms3 or manilla ) .
And this will affect also the free ram
Audio Manager : u can use S2P it is small and good ( u will found the package ready for Kitchen in my thread )
Camer loader : if u put it in the rom it will make some problem
Better to install it after flashing the rom

i have used 8mb pagepool it has made the ROM too fast it takes just 2seconds to open the windows folder too
The RAM at Startup is 25mb with HTC Pus activated..and after a normal use it just drops to around 23mb at the most 22mb den its constant..
& Storage 62mb

Sorry Guyz Audio booster the old one is givin alot of problems change in plans removing audiobooster also..

I ever encounter this for Email, and the problem is folder "Browsing_Lang_0409", but i don't know exactly for message problem, you can check that folder or replace it from another build.

Sorry Guys m Damn tiered today so m goin to sleep now will upload the ROMs after a good 5-6 hrs of sleep actually i tried uploading but due to disconnection problems the uploading process got cancelled at 78% & 86% this is annoying so its betetr to upload them later..

i had tried this rom on my old gene and i really like the new home screen with htc plus...and only issue i found was the same reported above,but i have a OLD gene...otherwise its a nice and fast ROM

I think this is possible. Qtek have is OMAP CPU.

If I can't get Linux running on the StarTrek myself, I will give my phone to one of the developers working on the Linux for phones project(s). I have 2 wall chargers, a car charger and a bunch of other accessories for my phone. The phone is like new.

I started working on some very, *very* rudimentary steps to support the phone's buttons, but I lost interest fairly quickly due to the limitations of working with the phone and my own inexperience with lower-level Linux stuff.
The patches I made for the keymaps are on GitHub.
If anyone else sees this thread and has the time/expertise to work on it some more, check out #htc-linux on irc.freenode.net.

You can try android from the guys at wing-linux, heres my post on the tornado section, use the files i used on my tornado and android "should" boot up since the strtk has the same omap850 cpu, follow the instructions i provided, good luck.

After your done downloading this installed only these 2 cabs in your storage card:

Android and Startrek
I've been working with the awesome guys over at wing-linux for the past few days, and we now have a working configuration for the Startrek. Expect to see it in their source tree sometime this week.

the reason is that my SD card too slow is for me, and it will be a lot faster if i install it on the NAND memory...

Hi. There is NO way at the moment to flash HD2 with Android as far as I know. Thats cos Android port for LEO is still "work in progress" and its still not fully working. What You can try is - Energy.Froyostone.HD2.Desire.Android.Aug.11 ROM found in here - forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=733649

Well i'm affraid there are no officially for it, but You can monitor this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849717, cotulla and his team are still developing.
About Android, it's as simple as copying needed files to Your SD card, run it and enjoy it. For Androids, just go to Android development thread, choose one You like and see instructions for it.
I think the closest you'll get to a genuine WP7 on HD2 experience is to install Android and install the new MetroUI for Android.

wew WP7 on Android, i mean WM6.5 HD2 with Android with WP7 customization, only Windows Phone can do it

This launcher actually works quite well on Android and nearly perfectly mimics WP7. It has some refinement to undergo, though.

When WP7 cames out DFT talks about a porting of windows mobile 6.5 for the HD2 on the memory for those of us who are nostalgic..now as I know that they don't like for ETA's domand I don't wnat to know when it wull cames out, I just want to know if they are working on it ..or if it's possible at all !
If they are still working on it then I think we will have to be very patient. Im sure it will be quite a bit more difficult than getting android to run from an SD card.
Im still hopeful though
