After seeing all of the commotion about the tf3d 2.5 roms I was wondering if anyone is working on a CDMA rom? I see there is a updated GSM rom but I was just wondering if there is one for us?
Yes there are roms on the way.
Something special is coming
do you mean Manilla 2.1? or is there something else? Maybe I'm out of touch.
edit: yup, out of touch.. just looked it up.. 2.5 looks pretty slick!

Although that rom works ok, it has not been updated in a while. I doubt it is on par with the CM-Xor MM Pro rom that is updated for gsm phones.
This ROM has updated manila 2.5 but it is GSM only. Does anyone know how to make it a CDMA ROM???
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493657&highlight=cdma
The biggest problems they are having right now is getting the drivers for the CDMA to work with the GSM ROM. there is a 1918 build that is 100% for the VGA, now they just need to finish some tweaks on it. Especially with the contacts screen and landscape. Those are the two big problem areas right now.

Has anyone get this to work on the PPC6800 (Bell, Sprint, Telus....) I get the error "Unable to capture photo, Unable to get frame data from Camera device." on the Bell PPC6800
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355587
Same problem here....
Curious to see if anyone else has tried....
dcd did i believe, never put it in the rom cause i like to have flash, and he said it doesnt flash.
Camera is working here
I am running the HTC Camera 5.0.4... from the latest dcd 1.6.10 kitchen. Of course the flash is not included, but the camera is working as expected. This is the XV6800.
yes but....
you have it running on the mogul? (aka telus P4000)

I am not sure about the telus name. The Verizon XV6800 and the Sprint Mogul are both based on the HTC Titan as I understand the naming schemes. I think this does equate to the PPC6800.
the cdma version is 5.07
anyone using this notice a benfit over the old version? or just new and fun?
I find the quality to be worse... but this is only while you are waiting to take the pictue... once you take the pic it is the same quality.
oh and you lose the flash ability (which is useless in the first place). i upgraded mainly due to the nice new UI

I actually notice a Huge difference with the 5.07 camera built into my No2Chem Rom'd Mogul (HTC6800).
So much better in picture quality that I don't even care that it doesn't have a flash.
I built that s**t right into my titan kitchen.
it seems like it is the camera that is stock on the touch. is the pic quality actually better enough to justify losing the flash????

Apparently sprint TV works on it, and a new radio 3.39.10...
Now patiently waiting for DCD to extract a radio and make a new rocking rom I wouldn't mind some sprint TV action
I jsut flashed my phone,so far,it worked really well,no problem found yet,it seemd like HTC & Sprint got their act together well this time.
This is a test ROM for WM 6.1 from Sprint and is not an official release. Just a heads up for all the over zealous flashers out there. I'm also assuming the radio is a test as well. The official release date from Sprint is scheduled for June 1, though knowing Sprint, don't bet the farm on that. Flash at your own risk.
Awesome, at least this is a start. Can't wait to test it out. Well, can't wait for dcd's version of this build, so I can test it out. I'm interested in knowing what's different.
Also, for all you people who think newer is better....this rom uses an older wm 6.1 build than dcd 3.0.4...

This rom is slower too. I had it for about 8 hours then flashed 3.0.4 back. 3.0.4 is just faster all around.
it would have been nice if they had added a working mms along with the sprint tv
Coming over to Sprint soon so I'm glad I won't be missing WinMo 6.1 like I'm used to.

Switches to Vibrate on its own
Hi all,
I flashed this ROM, and as well added BatterySTatus, Opera Mini 4.1, Ringo, Google Maps, HTC Home (Helmi Home) and I'm not sure what the glitch is, but the phone spuratically switches to vibrate on its own. Any ideas?

i have a verizon touch pro and normally have about 22 or les megs of ram free for programs. not sure if that is good or not, but coming from a blackberry 8830 where 15 was the min for a good smooth running tou i would like to get this number higher.
i am loooking for a ROM that is just the bare essentials, winmo 6.1, the phone and camera software, and what ever else it has to have for my phone to run. that way any thing else i want i can find a cab file and install myself.
i was referred to ppckitchen.com to get the kitchen, but cannot download and install the updates for it so i cant try to make my own rom.
any ideas? im sure someone else has already made this exact rom, but i simply cannot find it. not sure what to search for (trust me, i have been trying...)
thanks.
You have a CDMA device. Every ROM in this thread is for GSM. Don't flash any of these to your phone. For CDMA... check out the Raphael CDMA forum or www.ppcgeeks.com.

Since you're located in Sweden and T7272 is the HTC Touch Pro European version. It is a GSM device.
You should also see a SIM card slot when you remove the battery and the cover.

Oh, so thats how it goes, eh?
Is the SIM card the only major difference between GSM phones and CDMA ones?
I'm learning every minute here...
Thanks for the quick reply!
For CDMA, I would recommand Scottcrosler's rom kitchen, he has it for both Sprint and Verizon's variation. My friend who has Verizon uses Scott's rom and it is incredibly speedy, and there are definitely more ram available with programs running (I think my friend's phone has around 50mb or so after manila loaded). Plus with the kitchen, you would be able to pick and choose the programs to your EXACT liking.
I will gladly pay $10usd to anyone who can get an actual working cab for the AVRCP to work in sense 2.1 music tab on the tilt2/rhodium device. Attached is a cab Captain Throwback tried getting to work but it doesn't so maybe that will help some.
(AVRCP control in the Sense Music Player) working, since it apparently doesn't work on the (stock) Tilt 2. I'm sure it's a driver issue, but I don't know what driver it would be, since the Rhodium uses a different BT stack than the Topaz/Raphael/Diamond.

Well, 81 views and you're the first to post. So obviously theres a calling for such a fix. Now we just need someone whos up for the task.
Yep I am loving the Energy Roms but it is the only Rom that doesn't have it.
If you are up for flashing another rom Valkyrie has it for sure.
Try this. working for me with sense 2.5.

Thank you so much for this great find! I knew i should have asked JVH first! Just didn't think to since hes on the att fuze and not the tilt2 yet. Anyways, this works perfect on the att tilt2 running latest version of sense 2.1 on NRG's rom. Perfect!
I upgraded my Rezound last week to Nils' ICS ROM because it was the only ICS ROM I saw that said it was based off the latest RUU (3.14.605.5, I believe). All the other ICS ROMs I saw seemed to be based off the previous RUU (3.11.something).
Now I'm just wondering, are there any known differences between those 2 RUUs that really make it matter which one is the base, when I'm looking at ICS ROMs to load?
In other words, is it really legit to only be looking for ROMs based off the latest RUU? Or does it totally not matter? Or is it even possible that the 3.11 RUU is better for some reason and I would actually be better off to use a ROM based on 3.11?
I like the 3.14 because you can have different lockscreen shortcuts than what you have on your Rosie homescreen dock. Apart from that not much changed...I think 3.11 is better for gsm folks...but Verizon seems to be adding stock gsm functionality later this year
Edit....here's what the last 2 leaks added.
3.14 changelog/fixes
*Lock screen shortcut settings separated from launcher bar shortcuts
*3G/4G icon displayed prior to entering decryption password
*Hidden menu (*#*#4636#*#*) removed
*Messages application – wrong sender displayed on occasion
*IPv6 solicitation timer value change
*New radios
3.11 changelog/fixes
* Facebook force close when you tap a video album
*Roaming charges when in Canada & Mexico
*Resets
*"Android updating" message on power up
*Camera not launching
*Hotspot turning off after 10 minutes
*Exchange mail account removed after FOTA
*Car dock limiting charging current
*"Set Current Date" popping up frequently
*BUA+ (multiple issues)
Flash player removed
*OTA over incorrect APN
*OTA SW update time
*Camera dark when using Facelock
*Text field difficult to read

So it's really just the short list under 3.14 that are the differences between it and 3.11, right? Which is mostly no big deal - unless the updated radios are actually better in real world usage.
But, I assume if that's the case, somebody running either one could flash the radios from the other, right? Or, more to my original point, I could run a ROM based on 3.11 and then flash the radios from 3.14, right?
In which case, there's no real reason to worry about which of those two bases a ROM is built on. Or so I'm gathering...

Correct on all accounts... I had 3.14 radios and used 3.11 rims without issue. Now I am trying nils Rom based on 3.14 no issues..didn't notice much with radios and battery...probably will get changed again when ota comes next month or so.

We all sure do have different ideas of what awesome is. LOL! To me, the first requirement of Awesome is everything works. Especially basics like Bluetooth and WiFi. Eye candy is completely irrelevant (to me), until everything works.
That said, I've been running Nils' v4.1 for over a week now and am very pleased with it.

+1 on all accounts!
I think a better way to look at it would be if there are any real issues with the 3.11 base that are resolved with the 3.14 base. It seems like most ROMs never updated to the 3.14 base so I assume no.
Maybe a dev can answer this question since they have a better idea of the changes within the base.
