What have I done?
Well I always wanted to change the startup screens on my MotoQ.
Well not exactly. I always wanted the ability to change it. So I could change phone dialer screen and edit other xmls is my real motive.
So this works ALMOST. Why sometimes select a image is acting wierd. But changing the images works great.
If I can fix up a version that works better for you let me know.
This app will back up your original settings. It wont delete any default images. It will copy the images you choose to the program folder backGrounder directory and then delete those same image copies if you deselect them.
You will need Mortscript.
What are the requirements? I have no idea.
I have a WM5 smartphone.
I could have it make sure the images were valid jpg/png/gif first.

[App] Start Menu View: from Moto Q8
This application is use for changing menu background with easy. You also can change the menu view: List or Grid. Every menu folder can have different background and can insert background picture from any location in your phone.
Just copy the folder into your phone (phone or mem card doesn't matter) then run the application. You can create shortcut manually.

It seems gif images just show up as static images. how disappointing.
On the plus side I noticed that we can set the timeout one the images that do show. I will add setting those timeouts on the next version. I wonder what happens if i set those to zed?
I think i will rearrange the menu choices so as to mimic how they appear on the phone.

There might be plenty of application out there that may give you the freedom to tweak your device’s themes. But why go through all the trouble when all you want to do is to simply change your system’s font? Get your registry editor ready and let’s change some system font for your Windows Phone!
*Warning: Please be careful when increasing font size. In cases when the font is enlarged too much you may not be able to see the content on the screen and may have to go through hard-reset to continue using the device.
Objective
Change the default system font on your Windows Phone
Applicable Device(s)
Windows Mobile PocketPCs and Smartphones
Samsung Omnia, Samsung Epix, Samsung  Blackjack
What you need
Registry Editor (such as PHM)
Registry Address
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\SYSFNT
Value Name
There are several values you can change here:
Nm: The font name of the system
Ht: The font size in points
It: If the font is Italics
Wt: The weight of the font (bold)
Value Data
Nm: Choose a font that’s ClearType enabled
Ht: We advice anything between 6 to 15
It: enter ‘1′ to enable or ‘0′ to disable
Wt: Default is ‘190′, anything between that number and 400 should be fine.
Screenshot
For some, this is an optional option, but for others the font type can be very much essential part of their mobile user-experience.

[APP] SkinZone.org Backup v2.01

A simple Backup & Restore program for the following:
*Opera 10 Logins
P.I.M. aka your Contacts, Calander
Call Log
your My Documents Folder
your Wisbar Advanced Desktop themes
Garmin XT
FaceBook
and....
You can add options you would like to see on the backup list by posting to this thread.
Works perfectly with Sashimi
*******
Whats new?
version 2.0 now adds the ability to add or remove items that you dont use.
Example, if you dont use Garmin, you have the ability to not include it in your list of backupables.
However, I only have options i use or once used. So if you would like options added, please tell me what they are and i will add the option right away.
My Inspiration was....
Well I created a program that was originally intended to backup my Wisbar Advanced Desktop theme to my Sashimi folder.
Since I do alot of tweaking on it, I always wanted to have the most recent changes, incase I had to do a hard reset.
Then I started thinking.
What about a "Restore" option.
this would allow an undo option.
Example) you deleted a page by mistake, or you totally messed something up.
just restore your theme and your back to where you were.
***Notes
1) This is ApptoDate compatible
If you do not have ApptoDate installed, it will install it on its own.
2) Your storage Card must be called "Storage Card"
3) This is Sashimi Compatible
However you do not need to use sashimi for this to work
4) You must have mortscript installed
You can find that here
http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=download&action=view&entry=65
5) This DOES NOT overwrite your themes, this will first delete the theme completely, then copy your theme over.
This is done so that your not adding, and adding, features to a theme that do not belong.
Example, You deleted your page games.
but your last back up had the page games.
If We did not delete the entire theme, the page games would still be there plus your newest theme.
6) This does not copy over images, as people store their images in various locations.
9) The more themes in your THEME directory, the longer it will take.

Click to collapse
ANY suggestions are welcome
How to use,
Simply run the program.
Chose your selection.
it will add everything to your sashimi folder.
If you dont use sashimi, it will still back up to your storage card.
Now if you do a hard reset, sometimes your contacts wont show.
Simply run the program, Restore PIM and voila, your contacts and calander are restored.

***SUCCESS*** Create your own flipfont APKs

I have my custom font working properly in FlipFont with icon and font preview. There is still some stuff to figure out, and i HOPE some one will help me out as I believe its a bit over my head.
It seems that the fonts in the MonoType apks on the market are digitally signed. I THINK this is what is preventing the use of any old font. I believe the FlipFont app is looking for the digital signature in the font within the APK. If its not there, it does not use the font and reverts to using the default font.
I managed to get around this by opening the MonoType font in FontCreater along with the monoglyceride font. I then copied all of the characters and glyphs from monoglyceride into the MotoType font, replacing characters and glyphs inside of it. I saved the font and renamed it. Went through the apk creation method listed below and it worked.
If you want to try this yourself grab the APK attached to this thread and edit it with Apk Manager 4.8 found here
Steps to preform
Copy apk into place-apk-here-for-modding folder
Run script.bat and choose option 9
replace monoglyceride.ttf with the .ttf font you edited in the the steps above
edit all XML, yml and smali files to include the font name or font.ttf depending on the entry in the original file. Just replace monoglyceride in all files with the name of your font
Edit the last folder name in the smali folder tree from monoglyceride to the name of your font
Replace monoglyceride font with custom font in the font folder and replace the preview image in the drawable folder with one of your own.
Compile apk
Sign apk
Rename apk
install apk on your phone
Other info and things Ill try next
Before going through the time consuming method of editing the .ttf font file listed above I wanted to see what would happen if I left the original font APK alone and just removed the all of the internal naming. This area contains things like the font name, vendor, license agreement, copyright, ect... After I removed those entries in the file, windows still showed it as Digitally Licensed, but the font FAILED when recompiled and installed in Android.
I am going to try moving these entries over to another font and try again. This may not work, because from what I have read about digitally signed font, editing them breaks the signing. There is hope that this is not true based on the fact that I DID edit the font (characters, ect..)and it still worked.
I will try this tomorrow, its 5am here and I need to get to sleep. Glad I have no work tomorrow. :º)
Any font guys out there have any info on this?
Well here you go, here is my first custom FlipFont APK.

Android 2.1 - lock screen font change

ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED USERS - CAN MESS UP YOUR DEVICE
I found the way how to change the font used for lock screen time.
Just replace existing fonts with those you like in framework-res.apk (better use True Type)
framework-res.apk\assets\fonts\
SoMALight.ttf
SoMARegular.ttf

Looks very cool! Which font did you use for the first pic?
Sweet job on finding those files
can you share them fonts please? =]
Nice !! It only replaces lock screen font or whole system ??
And btw, what theme are you using ?
...replacing of mentioned fonts changes only the lock screen time font (not datum), I did not find any other affected area.
The fonts I used are from this site http://www.1001freefonts.com/
..but some fonts I have tried are too wide or too tall, so you need to find proper one, mainly if you use 24h format of time, I had problems with for example 23:58 and similar "wide times", but you can quickly check it by changing the system time, that you will see the worst scenario and check if your new font is working properly. Only what will happen if not is that the time will be split or something like that, but you can try another than...
The teme I use is the black HTC one, I just modified the slider buttons to be all transparent, i do not need them there 'cause I know what to do with my device..
The wallpaper is Pop Squares, which is the best live wallpaper I found until now..
Thanks for the info, dude. Much appreciated.
is this still applicable for the current version on x10 mini pro? xxxxxxx.6?
Awesome! Thanks
What am I doing wrong here?
If I push the edited framework-res.apk back to the phone with ADB, while the phone is on, it freezes and resets and I then have to boot into xrecovery and do a restore.
If I do the same when the phone is booted into xrecovery, it works, but then after I've rebooted the phone the original framework-res.apk file is back again.
It seems to not be pushing anything to the phone even though it displays this:
1731 KB/s (10056079 bytes in 5.671s)
Tried it with a PNG file as well. Looks like it's pushed, but it doesn't show up in root explorer.
Hey there is an easier way to do this
Go to the market and download type fresh and andexplorer
When you install them download you desired font
When you have your font in your sd card open up type fresh
Press the menu buttom and click on backup fonts accept allow with superuser and after thats done press where it says clockopia and with file explorer select your font and the press the menu button again and click on apply font
When the proccess ends your lockscreen font will be changed!
If this was useful thank me!
Sent from my G2 via XDA running MexDroidMod PreGhostChilli
Yes, initially I tried both Type Fresh and Font Changer to change the Clockopia font, but it seems this font isn't used for the lock screen clock on the x10 mini pro, unlike on other phones.
When I type "adb boot recovery" it gives an error: protocol fault (no status) and then my phone resets and starts up again without entering recovery. Why is this?
Yay fixed it.
Seemed to have been a problem with xrecovery. Kept getting "remount failed: Unknown error: 0" when typing adb remount.
Replaced it with CWM recovery and it worked.

[APP] Unlock2Weather - The WeatherPanel Companion for S2U2 V1.2

Hey XDA!
This is my first release of anything I have made for wm. I have had so many great things given to me through this fantastic site, so I wanted to give something back to all of you.
My app is called Unlock2Weather
This app updates s2u2 with the current weather from WeatherPanel, plus adds the forecast - not the default forecast only that s2u2 does. It really makes things easy when I want to check the weather outside.
Included is a cab which will install the program. The program is a mortscript, so you MUST have mortscript installed if you want to use the program. Also, at the current moment, the main program will be installed onto the main device memory (Uses ~4mb)
To configure the program, please run the configuration tool and set up the program. If you have S2U2 and WeatherPanel both installed to the internal memory you don't need to worry about setting install directories. I think everything is self-explanatory, but if you need help or have a question, just ask.
When selecting a city, choose the same for forecast and current otherwise things will not work out right. The default directory for S2U2 is "\Program Files\S2U2\gfx\weather\" and WeatherPanel is "\Program Files\MarsWare\WeatherPanel\data\". Finally all registry data is stored in "HKCU\Software\UNlock2Weather"
Icon customization is now available through the configuration tool. To use a custom icon set, it must correspond to the numbered system in WeatherPanel. If it does, simply place your custom icons into "\Program Files\Unlock2Weather\Icons" in a new folder, or put the folder into a zip file called "icons.zip". Both ways will allow you to use the customization tool to change the icons used by S2U2
If you come into problems run the "Info" section on the config tool which can diagnose your problem and will make a "debug.txt" on your device under "\Program Files\Unlock2Weather\debug.txt" attach that file in a post if needed.
Thanks again and hope you all enjoy

Export and edit theme in Themer

Hi there, let's say I like one theme and I download it.
Now I want to edit few things in downloaded theme (font color, size etc). I used export option in developer options, phone confirmed theme is exported but I can't find it in mine sdCard in path:
This PC\Desire HD\SD card\MyColorScreen\Themer\Exported\zip
Why is it not there?
+ when you are finished with edits, how do you import theme back to Themer?
Example what I want to achieve:

Hi,
In order to save a downloaded theme, here are steps:
1. Download the theme.
2. Make the changes you want.
3. Long press on the homescreen - Advanced - More - Export Theme. Give the theme any name you wish.
4. Now the theme will be saved in the /MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/zip folder.
When you simply select Save Theme in the long press menu, this will only save the current version of that theme. This works well if you want to make changes to one theme only, while Exporting a theme allows for multiple versions of one theme to be saved.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions just ask!

So you are saying it's possible to do changes like i mentioned? white text on computer or directly on phone? what files do i have to change?

Yes it is, besides for the notification bar, where you'll only be able to change the color of the bar. You can do the changes only via the phone, by editing the cofiguration settings in each Zooper Widget. If the icons are physical icons, then you'll have to look for white text icons, which can be easily downloaded either via the Play Store or XDA.
For editing Zooper Widgets, please refer to the MyColorScreen YouTube videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPXmDjRU7Q9daVeQYX78PNrUp0BAc9AIn
Good luck!
I just wondering where the theme element stored when we download themes for themer.
such as themer dock icon, or bitmap file for zooper widget
because after doing export theme to zip file, I don't found in zip file
