Coping 64MB MMC TwinMOS to 256MB SD turbo EagleTec

I decided to upgrade to 256MB SD card which I formated as my old 64Mb to FAT32.
Using card reader I have copied all files from the old card to my PC harddrive directory and from there to the new 256 SD card and I can see that the files are there.
When I put the 256SD into my XDA1 and when attampting to open the card using file explorer the message is
"Cannot find storage card (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available"
When I insert my old 64 MMC card everything is back to normal and OK.
What am i doing wrong? any clues?
TIA

[Q] Can't detect SD Card

I'm having some problem with my sd-card. I use a class 4 16 gb SD card and I can browse it using a file manager and even play songs stored within. But some apps cannot detect it. When using the camera, NavDroyd and some apps, it is asking me to attach a card. I tried remounting the card to no avail.
And another thing - I have a torrent app. I started downloading a 2gb file but decided to cancel it. But the free space of my card was still reduced by 2gb although I removed the torrent and data. Any tips on this? Thanks.
Any ideas?
Try to copy what you have on sd card on your pc, then format it and copy the things back on sd card.Have you tried another card? Maybe is a rom problem. And the utorrent thingy, browse the sd-card and check the folder where it downloads the torrents and see if the file is still there, and manually delete it.
If I format my sd-card. do I have to repeat the convertion of ext2 to ext3,etc.. stuffs?

[Q] Ext SD Card within Internal SD Card

is it possible to have the Ext SD card Folder within the INternal SD card folder for use with other file managers like Astro or when plugging the phone via USB into a Media Player. cos on both those cases Astro and the Media Player only pick up the internal SD card.
The Samsung galaxy S/SII has it implemented within the internal SD Cards directory

Problem creating link from SD card to Internal Memory

I am using a root browser and trying to create a music file on my SD card, then delete the music file on my Internal memory, link the music file on my SD into my Internal memory in place of the original music file, then re download my Google play music so that it will be on my SD card. The problem is, every time it try, I get this error message. Does anyone know what I can do to enable my SD card to make links? Thanks
