Even better I have now got Google Maps Navigator working on Tattoo in the UK thanks to Madcow Solutions.

GM Navigator is better then GM but dont have possibility of tracking like Ozi and PathAway on WM PPC.Maverick have it in a simple way, but not nearly Ozi,Pa.

Ndrive version 9.2 works perfectly on any Android phone i have used so far (Magic,Hero, Rachael) including Click of coz....

Links are on 1st page, link takes you to 22nd page. Install everything from page 1, and then you have link on 22nd page for apk, or just google for NDrive-9.3.02_HP_rc1.apk, and install that apk, not one from the 1st page.

Next2Me uses GPS and shows you all available businesses around you from over 30 categories. You can view the results on a map, show detailed information. Any thoughts of using Google Location instead of GPS to speed things up? also, I don't see a way to email a location- just to SMS. Am I missing it? If it could pull the Google info that would be nice as well (such as type of restaurant, rating, etc). Overall I do like it though. Good luck with the project!

Hm, that's a GPS-Problem under Windows. You can use QuickGPS to improve the lock-time, but that doesn't always work.

Yeah, I am already aware of the "km/miles"-Bug ... this will be fixed in the next version, of course.
Your suggestion with the amount of hits returned or the search radius is very good and will be proofed.

Yeah, that would be a solution to use the location service using the Google Location. I can implement support for the myLocation service of Sleuth, but I would prefer to implement the location service into Next2Me, so that there is no need for the user to install another application to use Next2Me. Are there any specifications or source code snippets how to use the Google Location service under Windows Mobile?

Next2Me checks your Mobile Outlook on you cell phone, if there's an E-Mail account available. This e-mail account will be used to send the email with the location service. The button for sending an e-mail will only be shown if there's an email account set up in your Windows Mobile.

Good to hear that ... I don't know the exact cause of the problem, but strangewise the GPS-Stream is on most of the HD2 different to rest of the world's mobile phones ... and on some not, like yours.

I have a single email account (an ActiveSync/exchange account) and it's not being detected. I've tried it on two ROMs

Not really ... it's currently available as BETA version. You can download it from the first post. Did Next2Me crash with version 1.1 or earlier? I want to test it with as much cell phones as possible, so please write me if you have any errors with Next2Me.
Additional info: Next2Me 1.2 BETA also supports location using the GSM network. So, it also works with cell phones without GPS module.

What do you mean with that? Do you want to add your own categories and search criterias? This is not possible currently. I am thinking about implementing it, but currently it's not possible. This BETA version is for testing it with as much as possible cell phones, to be sure position detection is working on every phone.

Tested on tmobile touch pro 2 and works very well on cell tower location. Haven't tried on GPS.
However, the result for gas station is way off, reporting station like 700KM away from current location. Other services seem fine.
Besides, is it possible to change units? Or show current gas price?

Hi. I just did some research a couple days ago...
It depends on which country you would like to install in your HD2...
The popular one is v845... And the latest one is v850...
For me, in Australia, the v850 is not available. So I choose 845 one...
Tips, always choose the map which is reported working on PDA...
i.e. pay attention to the last column.

The most definative site I have found is gpsunderground. They have charts that tell you which maps work with the version of Navigator you are using.

Anyone knows whats the latest map available on TomTom for Windows Mobile 6.5? I have an advantage that I use solely for GPS and videochat (never while driving… ) and the maps feel a little dated.

hey all iv taken on the task of trying to make a police scanner app,
im doing it in html and having problems making embedded wmp to do anything
inc play a mp3
no sure if its my computer as when i have my pda linked via active sync i can view web pages but any streams from like youtube try to connect but fail
im also working on a dropdown script to bring up an alert box with police codes...
this is been developed for Wvga 480x800 wm6.5 wgt.
i may do cab from wm5.x for those who dont have widget engine later.
any help i most welcome

I can install the prog an I can install the widgets, but I can`t start them. I start the widget, than comes the message from the cost for the datas and than the widgets doesent starting. Any idea perhaps ?
Here's how I do it. Using SkyFire Browser, Go too www.radioreference.com . Sign up for an account (it's free) You may want to use your PC to sign up for the account just because it's easier, and follow the steps to get to your area and choose from all of the scaner feeds in your area, find the best one and favorite it in your skyfire bookmarks. I live in Pittburgh PA and I have it favorited where I can hear all the police, fire, and ambulances in the entire city, it works great. Just make sure you use skyfire becuase the scanner player uses Flash.

Fire Brigade will, as well as some things like Airports & Trains, but Police & Ambulance use encrypted digital radios here now.

CoPilot is good too and has plenty of maps available for download.

If you live in Montreal, I'd test copilot before buying, I charted 2 courses and the maps didn't detect one way streets. I tried turning on a one way because of it and had to do a 10 minute detour to get back on course... Be careful!
Navigon is another offline gps tool, but it's not out yet... It's great on the iphone though

hi, you should get Motonav, it uses the correct resolution and you can have Igo maps on it, since it's basically Igo for android
it's not free though, but you can always find a cracked version if you know how
Navigon 2.6.1 works great on my X10. I've tried almost all. Most of them look like crap or are laggy. I dont like the 'new' iGo. I've always used Igo in WinMO. The Android version kinda sucks.

Navigon is imo amazing great.
The full version needs no internet connection and i´ve never had lost the GPS-Signal (without by driving through a tunnel, but then it takes your last known Speed and it navigates you even there, provided you don´t increase your speed)

I'd prefer Sygic mobile maps
you dont need any internet connection, just your gps and a sd-card (for your maps)

Good website. I now use iGOMyWay_8.4.2.139242_Android_SLO app and TA-Q2.2010_us-can maps. It works wonderfully without wifi or cellular supports. You need to turn on the "Use GPS satellites" in Locatio&security settings.
I bought this phone on ebay a while back and i'm just wondering can anybody give me some information about the phone e.g. Best GPS program , best audio player etc .

As mobile browser I got Opera mini, works great. Think you can get it from m.opera.com.
For movies use CorePlayer. Best mediaplayer IMO.
I got NoData for when I'm traveling, and don't wanna end up with a huge bill.
SMSBubbles is a tiny bit buggy but it works. It allows a popup with the incomming text to appear on your screen, so you can read what the text says without having to navigate.

yes it does..the only problem is that u need internet connection...it doesn't include maps...it just download a part of the map according to your location...

why do not you try Garmin Mobile ...? You can download it at MOD EDIT-POSTING WAREZ IS IN VIOLATION OF THE XDA-RULES. SECOND WARNING, SECOND VIOLATION, INFRACTION ISSUED.
Best GPS I found was BING. It is free as long as you have data has VOICE guidance and re routs instantly. No hassel works every time I use it a lot. http://m.bing.com/download/
