Ebay screen protectors, any suggestions? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Accessories

Hi all:
Does anyone have any suggestions for good screen protectors for the Tilt2 off of Ebay?
I know there are a number of name brand ones which are good, but I have an Ebay gift certificate, so I'd like to buy from there if possible. I can't seem to find any of the good name brand ones on ebay, so I was hoping someone may have tried one of the ones that are available on there.
Suggestions would really be appreciated.
Thanks!
PS: I am currently using the one that came with the phone, and I was happy with its quality, but it has gotten quite scratched up, quickly, so I need to replace it.

Extremely easy to apply, barely any bubbles/air pockets to be seen. My screen looks like it doesn't even have one on.

Or you could try this link. I ordered mine, but I didn't received them yet so I don't have pictures to upload, but they look sharp
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-MIRROR-Screen...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL?hash=item19b63cfef6

I've always ordered screen protectors from Clarivue. The one I put on my Palm TX 4 years ago is still on it. They're durable.
As to ebay, the seller I've always used for clarivues is JHongs. They currently don't have protectors for the Tilt 2 listed, but the last time I asked them to list one they didn't have up, they happily did so.
Just message them, give them the link to the Tilt 2 clarivue (linked above), tell them you're ready to buy, you heard they would list it for you, and I'll betcha in 48 hrs your new screen protector will be on the way.

I bought ebay item #250541670275. It only cost $2.98, it shipped from California, and I had it within a week. They fit the tilt 2 VERY nicely, and I can't tell there's anything on the screen. Buy it!

Thanks so much to everyone who replied!
I will definitely be ordering one of the ones suggested in this thread.
Thanks again!!

I wouldn't call it bad, but in terms of durability it's lacking compared to clarivue or boxwave or some other name brands.

im To late
but your best bet would have been zagg. most of those cheap plasic one's only hold up for about 3 month or so. zagg hold up until u decide to take it off.
www.zaggs.com that the main site and there should be some on ebay also. i kno that you have a gift card.

Don't get this if you have a Tilt2. Just thought i'd give you a heads-up (it'sthe T-Mobile version).

If you still haven't purchased any scrren protector, you must have a look at this, although it's not on ebay it's very cheap and offers full body protection.

If it's not cheap enough use 20% discount cupone PPCSG20

I have excellent experience ordering from Amazon and HIGHLY recommending this seller - Eforcity. (I've ordered 3 protectors for my CDMA and got 8 in the package - someone was pissed to my bennefit )

They say "scratch proof", but 3 of mine scratched.
Also, those "invisible shield" ones leave weird residue that does go away after a while, but it gets annoying.
After trying 3 types of screen protectors, I would HIGHLY suggest the regular scratch proof ones. They really work and the bubbles went away after a night of having it on.

Generally an anti-glare protector has a matte finish and generally the crystal clear ones are glossy. That's the distinction that matters in regards to fingerprints -- any glossy surface is going to be print-astic and hold on to finger oils with the jaws of life.
I have a clarivue anti-glare, and it is definitely more resistant to prints than the stock HTC protector was. But it's not magic, or even oleophobic, it's just an ordinary matte surface.
I also recommend a decent brand like boxwave or clarivue above some no-name protector if you want to be sure it's going to be durable. I used the same clarivue for 4 years on my palm TX and it was in a 100x better shape than the stock HTC protector was after a couple of weeks.

T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 (Rhodium) Screen Protector

Hey guys,
Hello fellow XDA Rhodium members, I would like to hear your reviews for which is the best screen protector, in your opinon, for a T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 (Rhodium).
Thanks to you from Kenichi.
Take a look at GadgetShieldz
GadgetShieldz is relatively cheap and does the job.

Hey guys,
I was just wondereing what brand of Screen Protectors you would recommend. I been looking at the one at Zagg.com but I don't know if I should spend 25 dollars just for back protector and front protector? Although there is a 15 dollar just for front cover.
Thanks you from Kenichi.

Best skins ever. Exact same thing at 1/2 the price.
Only problem with the Zagg/BSE is that the skin is rubbery and makes sliding your finger across the touch screen a little harder. I still use them because they are the toughest strongest protectors. Plus the rubberyness gives it a bit more texture to keep it from slipping out of your hand.
Hey thanks guys for your help, I'm having a hard time deciding. I hate the screen protector that came with the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 its just too easy to scratch.
Thanks for your opinons. Kenichi.
Clarivue is my favorite for screen protection. Smooth and ULTRA clear. Those full body rubbery protectors are not as optically clear or smooth. If you want full body and clarity I would suggest these with your favorite brand for the back.

Great question! Sure glad you started this tread because noone has ever asked this before.
I've personally only used ZAGG shields and so far have not been disappointed with both of the protectors i've used. I do wish that it came with the side protection like the gadget shield. In terms of quality I cannot speak enough for ZAGG's shield, it absolutely rocks. I can unfortunately say i've dropped this phone way too many times and the screen/battery cover look flawless.
The touch screen w/ the shield took a couple tries to get use to but now I experience very few problems (sometimes I do not put enough pressure in my swipe, so it registers as a touch).

great thread, have always wanted to know reviews for screen protectors.
Hey guys,
I just wanted to tell you guys I just got my Zagg sheild and installed on my Phone... Bleh! It turned out bad I dislike the grippyness on the screen, but all is well. Good thing they give me a life time warranty, It seems that the screen protector was damaged as it went my way. I do admit that the screen protector is TOUGH, so much better than the original t-mobile screen protector.

Best Skins Ever is the company name. Exact same material as Zagg without the fancy packaging.
http://www.bestskinsever.com/
i have a phantomskinz screen protector and just ordered the full body kit...i like it better than zagg, its slicker for finger friendliness..but not as thick
phantomskinz.com
Phantomskinz.... took couple times cause I strive for perfection and saw a piece of dust under it. Cheap.... use code summer33 or winter33 can not remember and get 2 of them to your door for under $7!!. Got one on my TP2 and my wifes Pre... can not even tell they are there.
Have you search pdair.com?
The price of protector just cost around 10-12 dollars
Martin Fields were always extremely good to me in the past, but the high price and long-distance shipping has turned me away from them for a few years. Their stuff was clear and never scratched while carried in my pocket without cases.
I’ve now gone to ppctechs stuff since they are local and will install. Nice folks and their stuff works real well. But it’s a hard protector, so if you bend it or if you don’t get it on exactly, it’ll always look a little bubbled up (creased might be a better word)
I had a Zagg or two and those were gross. The surface is soft so dragging your finger was not smooth, and using a fingernail or stylus will stick to the screen. Never again…
I'm using for several years Brando Ultra Clear and Brando Anti Glare. Expensive but sturdy, one of the best.
For the TP2 I'm using the Ultra Clear (best color representation, no loss)
For frequent navigation (eg TomTom, iGo, etc) the Anti Glare SP is better.
Refer for more information to Brando Workshop Hongkong. Dilevery all over the world.

Anti-smudge/glare Screen Protector?

Hi All,
Can someone please recommand me a good protector? I'm currently using the Smartphone Experts one...the material does a great job in reducing smudges and oil marks but I strongly recommend against that brand because it looks like it was cut by a 5 yo with safety sisscors. The non straight cuts and horrible fitment doesn't bother me too much as the Innocase covers the edges, but it causes the protector to be lifted around the entire edges. This drives me nuts as I'm pretty anal regarding cosmetics.
I know there's the Brando (?) one, but haven't found any reviews regarding quality..any others?
Thanks,
I've used only three brands of screen protectors... I can recommend that Clarivue is the best of Stock T-Mobile Screen Protector and Zagg. Clarivue is simple and is anti smudge/glare to apply to your phone and much tougher than T-Mobile Screen Protector, but Zagg is even more protective but it has issues like orange peel and the screen is very sticky and hard to apply, and it doesn't look so good with smudges and oil marks. The worst of all is the screen protector is very hard to slide your finger or even stylus around.
Just ordered. Thanks for the recommendation!
It's on sale for $10.99 for 2 + 10% discount (code: Clarivue7) + free shipping = $10.38/tax!!
I also found a great detailed review here.
Edit - can't post link..but you can google "Clarivue Anti-glare screen protector for Droid" posted on androidforum
I have been using the Boxwave anti-glare screen protector and I think it is an excellent product but I do not like their customer service. Just recently I noticed a scratch on my LCD so I email Boxwave to send me a replacement.
It took them 3 days to return my email, and I ended up playing a cat and mouse game with them to send me a replacement. Keep in mind everytime I sent them an email it took them 3 days to get back to me. I first opened a case with them on 4/05 and finally as of yesterday they accepted the RMA and will send me a replacement.
That is very poor customer service due to the time frame. They do not even post phone #'s to call them directly. I really cannot tolerate poor customer service and I will be doing business with them again. I've dealt with ZAGG, bodyguardz and Phantom Skinz. None of them took this long to take care of an issue.
As I said if you want a nice anti glare screen protector try Boxwave's, but if issues arise don't expect them to handle it any time soon.
I read good things about Boxwave too, but $15.55 each shipped is a little too steep for me. According to ppl who have used both, quality between the 2 is minimal. :fingers crossed:

Cool, hope you respond to this thread again when you get it and give us your review
So I received my Clarivue Anti-glare protectors today. I must say the whole order processing/shipping process was very fast.
Comparing this to the SPE protector, physically, the material is noticably thinner which makes the touchscreen a bit more responsive. As for cut, this one is better, but still not perfect comparing to Seidio or OEM...but it's ok because my Innocase covers most of the edges. One thing that bugs me is the bottom is straight cut (not cut around the horns by the buttons), which I don't like.
I've been putting on protectors for years, yet I still suck at it. Took me about 10 tries...kept getting dust in between. Since it's static, I washed it a few times with soap and water and it held up fine. I also applied it when it was still a little wet. I want to note that this protector is cut very well, no rough cuts meaning no lifts/airbubbles around the edges like the SPE.
Performance...well, I'm quite disappointed. Yes, it's thinner so it's more responsive, but I never really had any complaints/issues with the SPE one in that department. HOLY COLOR BLEEDING!! With Anti-glare protectors, it comes with it. The SPE one had it, but not enough to ever bother me, but this one, it's pretty bad. Also, on white (ie email), you can really see the red/white/blue. I'm going to keep it on and see if my eyes adjust..if not, I'm going to try the Brando one or go back to the SPE.
Note, for the TP2, I've used OEM, Seidio, SPE, flea market special and now Clarivue.
Edit - Since it's a thread on anti-glare/smudge, I should mention that it does very well at hiding fingerprints. Oil/face prints is ok, hides it better than reg protectors like it should. As for glare..not sure yet. I'm a hermit working in the flippin bat cave so I'll see sunlight when I leave work.
Update - it's only been a couple days and it already got a bit scratched. only wear it saw was in and out from my pocket...not amused
Pro-Tech Seems to Work
I've used Pro-Tech screen protectors for my last three phones -- works great: put it on once (carefully! follow directions!) and forget about it. About $10 for screen protector, and mine still look good after a couple of years each. Makes a good anti-smudge surface.
http://www.protechyourdevice.com/servlet/the-496/Protech-Invisible-Protection-Screen/Detail
figured id chime in on the screen protectors ...ive used about 3 different brands and finally bought the skinomi tech skin it was on amazon for 9.95 + ship and it comes with a lifetime replacment warranty ive had it for nearly a month now and although it doesnt help with the glare as much and shows finger prints .....i myself have personaly ran it through the paces ...i used my car key for a stylus one day ....just to see and sure enough it scratched it to what i thought was unrecoverable and then i plugged it in over night and when i woke up in the morning the screen was as clear as it was the night before so i wiped the fingerprints off of it and tried again
I have been using the ClearProtector for about a month now, and really like it so far. The fitment is just slightly off, but not so much that it would be a problem and it's very tough.
I personally LOVE my Ghost Armor. I used to only use Zagg, but I do not like the very rapid discoloration, the "orange peel" texture, and the stickyness of the film. Ghost Armor is clearer, thinner, smoother, and it doesn't give you that sticky feeling when you run your finger across it. It fits VERY well, and if you have a kiosk in your mall they will apply it for you in about 20 minutes. This also means if they mess up the application of the protector, they will just use a brand new one and fix it for you!
Go with Clarivue Anti-Glare!

I ordered the Clarivue Anti-Glare with the same deal back in February. (Except no tax, so my total was $9.89 for 2 screen protectors.) HERE is link for CDMA version. Other versions available at www.clarivue.com.
I love it! It makes screen glare almost nonexistent. Best of all, no fingerprints! As an added bonus, the tactile feel of the protector is nice, sort of like running your finger over fine paper. After a day, you don't even notice the difference.
Some people claim to experience a very slight "wet" or "halo" effect. I don't see that normally, unless I have strong reading glasses on, and then I only slightly notice it. In any event, it is not enough to defeat the positives.
All in all, I highly recommend the Clarivue Anti-Glare Screen Protector! I've used daily since February and am still on my first of 2 protectors. And with the deal, it's even better!

What's Best Screen Protector (No Spray, No Orange Peel)

I usually use PPC Techs WriteShields but they don't have them yet.
I hate the Zagg ones, there a bad joke.
I don't care for ones that use liquid to put them on, I never had trouble putting ones on perfectly without liquid.
Is the EVO 3D have the exact screen size of some other phones already out.
I may just wait for PPCTechs but the ones that used to be included with Sprint Phones were very similar and quite good.
Does Sprint sell them for this phone?
Looks like Sprint does sell them. $14.99 2 Clear, 1 Anti-Glare plus $6.50 ship !!
I Found theexact part on EBay for $10.00, $2.00 to ship
I searched for ZCH5009V on Ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sprint-HTC-EVO-3D-Screen-Protectors-ZCH5009V-/200624988088
i alsways use seidio for my screen protectors
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/spm1hev3d.htm
there not rubbery like zag
pretty easy to put on
no water needed
cheaper the most
and there slick once u start using them so ur finger doesn't stick when swiping sliding playing games etc
if in doubt buy the 2 pack its only like 15$ for two worse case u mess up first one and have an extra one left
also if ur really bad with em take it in to sprint or bestbuy with just the screen protector and ask em to put it on and they'll do it saying "its a gift for mom" or something im sure they wont care
Boxwave are simply the best screen protectors, bar none, in my opinion. I've used them all, and nothing comes close.

Don't chose the free shipping. I don't know what happened but it took over a week for my order to get from FL to TX. He shipped them the next day after I ordered but it took forever. Definitely a USPS problem.

I have used Steinheil for all of my phones. Ordered these and got them yesterday:
http://www.amazon.com/SGP-Screen-Pr...QNJQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1310872807&sr=8-5
Installed it today, super easy. Very clear protector, you can't tell it is on. Adds a nice feel to the screen, and the oleophobic coating on the protector makes fingerprints and other gunk wipe off easily without need for a cleaning cloth or something of the like.

unfortunately, Boxwave doesn't have one available for the 3d yet, so I went with Clarivue, which are just as nice...
it should be mentioned that the Boxwave/Clarivue screen protectors are hard plastic type, giving a very smooth screen feel
I've been using the "Cellett" brand from Fry's.
Whopping $4.99
You cannot tell it's there, perfectly clear, not sticky when dragging finger across, and (from previous phones) I know they last years if installed correctly.
Yea, the Zagg ones from worst buy or wherever blow.
FYI, I bought the Sprint ones.
They stink.
They scratch VERY easy even though they are the hard smooth clear plastic type.
And they do not cover the whole screen.

Quite a number available on eBay. Not sure if they are any good, as I don't use screen protectors myself.
Plenty. I'm using Momax and I found a light scratch on the screen protector only after a week. Glad that I have the screen protector installed. I think it gives you peace of mind especially when you do not use the folder type jacket that can protect the screen. I dislike the folder type and have only the PVC back jacket protecting the back and side. It's thin and make the device still holdable.

Ah yes. Def can recommend it. I always struggle to apply screen protectors. Maybe im just clumsy dont know. But I love the ability of the Skinomi to be re positioned once applied. The moisture you see after the application disappears fully after about a day.
I had a Skinomi screen protector on my old Viewsonic g-tab (eww), and it was pretty slick. If you take the time to apply it per their instructions it will be virtually undetectable with no bubbles.

I dont use any wet apply screen protectors anymore after i tried them once and screwed my phone up - water got into the phone.
Dry ones: With careful application (there is a good video on youtube) the dry ones go on perfectly. And for the price you pay for them on ebay ie $3 buy a couple and if you screw one up have another go. Its really not that hard.
I got both a low priced matte and glossy screen protector (same OEM make). I don't recommend anyone use a matte SP. It gives a dotted rainbow effect to the screen, making it terrible for viewing the AMOLED+ screen.
The glossy one is OK. I'm competent at applying SP's so didn't have any issues with bubbles/dust. Can't notice the SP is there and viewing angles/brightness doesn't seem to be diminished at all.
Just got the Brando ones today.
They are excellent. Really great quality and super crystal clear. Cant even tell its on. They are a little pricey but well worth it I think.
Shipping from Hong Kong to NY took about 10 days.

I got the ADQC27.....perfect fit, and no rainbow effect.
Glossy....almost feels like the Tab's glass in terms of feel but fingerprint doesn't come off as easy as it is non oleophobic.
They ship REALLY FAST which is a huge plus........

3D GLASS Curved screen for Samsung Galaxy S8

I haven't bought one yet, but I'll be getting most of my info from this YouTube channel. This guy does quality reviews.
For example, see this video about the Olixar glass screen protector:
https://youtu.be/o2R1YEX4yrw
He's already stated that he'll be reviewing several glass screen protectors for the S8+, and I think most of the information should apply to the S8 as well.
i bought the olixar one only, says case compatible. Lets see when it comes if it fits with the spigen thin armor.

I haven't bought one yet, but I'll be getting most of my info from this YouTube channel. This guy does quality reviews.
For example, see this video about the Olixar glass screen protector:

He's already stated that he'll be reviewing several glass screen protectors for the S8+, and I think most of the information should apply to the S8 as well.

Sucks that the Amazon link he posted, the item's unavailable. Hopefully it'll come back in stock. Curious about other glass protectors and if they're case-friendly. This one does look promising though.

Just posted this on the Plus forum - thought I'd share here too. Looks like it might be good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvdxxTUu1ac

Another one to look at as well. I actually am currently using one of their glass screen protectors for my S6. Haven't had any issues with it, so also good to know.
Anyone try the Zagg yet? It supposed to have full screen adhesive, hoping to see some user reports though since its $50.
Don't do it!

I went out to Best Buy yesterday to get the Invisible Shield Glass Curve by Zagg and was not impressed. I'm going to try and return it in a couple hours..
The touch response is horrendous. I almost want to call Zagg directly and suggest they pull all these products from stores because I'm sure many people will not be happy.

:good:
Zagg isn't even special. they just came around the market early with heavy marketing tactics. Uses the "it cost more , must be better gimmick."

Thanks, looks like I will just go with a plastic protector. I've got a glass one on now but the touch sensitivity is pretty ****ty.
Not a great cover

I'm in the same boat with this screen protector. I put it on last night. I appreciated the little frame to help you guide it, but the screen response is crap. There is one section that I have to forcibly push down for it to register. There are some parts that lift and you can hear the plastic coming down to make contact with the screen when being touched. Not the best fit, and for $50 it better be perfect. Calling Best Buy after work to see about a return / refund. There was a $24.99 one there that I'll try next, but it didn't curve.
Just returned mine.

I just got back from Best Buy like 2 hours ago. I returned it and they asked no questions. I did, however, keep the screen on until I got there because I wanted to explain that I was afraid of breaking the screen protector upon removal. They said it was fine and to go ahead an remove it. It came off pretty easily, which made me wonder how long it would have stayed on if I would have decided to keep it. I got my $50 back and I instead bought the $24.99 I think you're talking about. Also made by Zagg called "HD Clear." Its a floppy plastic one and a lot harder to put on correctly but this is the one I had on my S6 and I loved it. Currently I have my S8 curing so the small bubbles can evaporate.
I'm wondering if after I return my Zagg I should just make a drive to the mall and visit the Ghost Armor kiosk and pay to have them put it on? Their website shows a 'case friendly' one costs $29.99 for the screen alone. Not sure how much the person putting it on would charge above that, but I've at least used them before and they also have a guarantee.
I had a tempered glass protector on my S6 that was great, but it had a flat screen so no issues. I tried 2 different tempered glass on my S7 Edge. Neither were any good so I went with a plastic shield that was OK but it's not the same as glass. I just put a Armorsuit plastic screen protector on my S8. It looks better than the one I had on my S7 Edge. If you go on Amazon and check out the reviews on the glass protectors, you see almost all bad reviews. The good reviews are probably mostly fake. I'm going to wait and see if someone finally makes a glass screen protector that actually works properly on curved screens.
I ordered the Philonext on Amazon, arriving tomorrow. I will post later on how it is.
The problem with the 3D curved tempered glass is that the adhesive they use is not like the flat glass versions. Not sure why no one can do this. If you look at all full coverage glass (had one for the LG V20, same issue) the adhesive is only on the outer most edges. Since the adhesive is like .02mm or so, the rest of the screen doesn't sit flat against the display. So this causes the user to use a bit more force to press down on the glass cover. Until someone can fully coat the glass with adhesive as the fully flat glass does, then all will suck. I bought the Verizon Full coverage glass and it's the same...bad touch sensitivity!
