YOU CAN VIEW IT HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsbcO5iWVI8&feature=player_embedded
Note: YOU CAN VOTE EVERY 28 DAYS AGAIN FOR THE SAME CHOICE!!
Please can everyone who has Dropbox or might get Dropbox after reading this whole post then please also vote for a Windows Mobile App for it! I don't get why its always the iPhone which gets all the apps even though it has fewer developers!
Here the link to vote for it: https://www.dropbox.com/votebox/8/windows-mobile-support
And if you want to sign-up here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTE5Njc5OTk5 YOU WILL GET AN 250MB EXTRA IF YOU USE ME REFERRAL LINK!
What Is Dropbox?
Dropbox is software that syncs your files online and across your computers. Put your files into your Dropbox on one computer, and they'll be instantly available on any of your other computers that you've installed Dropbox on (Windows, Mac, and Linux too!) Because a copy of your files are stored on Dropbox's secure servers, you can also access them from any computer or mobile device using the Dropbox website.
With Dropbox, your files are always in sync.
Let's say you're editing a document at home. As soon as you click 'Save', Dropbox will sync this same file to all your other computers (and now your iPhone!) instantly and automatically. It's as if you saved the document to all of your computers. This gives you the freedom to work on any of your computers and always have the files you need.
Dropbox lets you share files easily.
You can easily share entire folders or photo albums with Dropbox. Simply put the folders you want to share in your Dropbox, and invite people to them. You can also send people links to specific files within your Dropbox. This makes Dropbox perfect for team projects
With Dropbox, online backup is automatic.
Any file you put into your Dropbox folder is automatically backed up to our servers. Even if your computer has a melt-down, your files are safe on Dropbox and can be restored at any time. While our free 2GB account is perfect for backing up your documents, we offer larger accounts (up to 100GB) for backing up your music and video collections.
Dropbox lets you go back in time to undelete or undo changes to files.
Every time you save a file in Dropbox, Dropbox syncs it to our secure servers. Dropbox keeps a history of every change you make so that you can undo any mistakes and even undelete files. By default, we keep 30 days of history for all your files. We also have an unlimited undo option called "Pack-rat".
Dropbox is better.
Dropbox replaces:
Emailing file attachments to yourself and other people
Using USB drives to move files between computers
Renaming files to keep a history of previous versions
Complicated backup software and hardware
And more!

Didn't know this existed, just installed it on the pc, its great, also you can log into your dropbox account from your wimno web browser, and you can put public files in it to share, so dont really need the app. Nice find though, thanks.

DESCRIPTION
Hi all,
I have been trying for a while to find some GPS/CellID tracking programs that work fine but most of them are buggy and not very accurate. That's why I decided to write my own!
Features:
- Ability to generate KML and GPX files that can be opened with any tool that supports that type of file.
- Realtime tracking with Google Earth or Google Maps.
- You can create and manage your own trips
- No internet connection is needed when using TrackMe (Offline mode)
- Ability to display your current position on your PDA
- Geofence with SMS and email notifications
- You can send your current position by email or sms to other person
- Ability to upload pictures. TrackMe will extract the GPS information/Creation date (if any)
from the pictures and it will match it with your existing GPS data
- Search for closest user based on your last uploaded position
- GPS powersave mode available
- You can use your own server instead of my free server
- Stealth mode
- You can force updates with your own custom icon and comments.

You can Donate if you like my tools. That's always a good motivation for future developments!! Thanks a lot!
that's pretty dope! Where does it upload the data to? Any chance of sharing the source code and people could add to it? maybe open source it?
Thanks kireol.
Right now it's uploading the information to the mysql database that I have with my web hosting.
Regarding the source code... I think it could be a good idea. Maybe once the program is completely stable I may do it. Thanks for your suggestion.
for sure man, you did a great job! And I for one would love to get involved. I was a programmer at Ford for 15 years(C++/PHP/Perl/Java) until those jobs went to India and forced me to throw away my college degree. I've been dieing to get back into programming (5 years now). This last weekend I snagged MS visual studio .net and the wm6 sdk and started compiling. This might b a good transition for me to get back into thinking that way, if you decide you'd like to OS it that is

Thanks ishkatar.
You just need to go to Config, and enter there a username and password.
The account is created automatically as soon as you start uploading GPS data.
If for any reason the username already exists or there is any other error, you will be notified.
We always approve such moves!!!! Go on and keep up the good work!!!
Very cool.
Maybe you could release the table structure and a way for people to host their own data...like a personal web app.

Wow ... works perfectly!!! I just did a test walk around my office and it mapped it perfectly!!! Good work Staryon. I'm really eager to see how you did it.
Thanks a lot for all your comments. That really encourages me to keep updating the software.
laakness, at this moment the data is inserted into the mysql tables by using HTTP calls. My website gets the HTTP call and depending on the command it will do the specified task. That means that what you mention it would work if they have a website with PHP and a mysql database. A nice feature that I could add in the future is to make the inserts directly to the database instead of using HTTP calls.
However this is something that may not work for many web hostings because they usually don't allow access to mysql from external applications (which is my case by the way)
For the KML files (Google Earth's files) I used a structure that I liked in one of the tools that I found that does something similar to this. I made some modifications though.
I edited my previous post. Obviously where I said URL calls I meant HTTP calls.
Sorry for the confusion!
I have not yet installed it but it looks really cool from the screen shots. I have been using 3DTracking (free) but it is not without its problems and does not look as comprehensive as this. Does it carry on logging position after you power-down (standby) the Kaiser? 3DTracking does and its a real pain as it means you have to keep the screen on all the time!!
Thanks for the info.
I actually do host my own site using PHP/Apache/Mysql which is why I was asking

Very good. In that case I can provide everything that you need to use your website.
However, I will have to make it some changes in my code because at this moment the HTTP calls are hardcoded to my website. Once I have this done I will post it here.

Very cool indeed…
We must be neighbors of a sort. I work in Herndon (Worldgate) and was pretty surprised to a bird’s eye view of my office. Hope you aren’t getting stuck doing that toll road shuffle for an am commute – lol.
I installed it on my Wing, but it is not responding.
first error I got. unable to open port 4
I changed to port 1 and what I get is - waiting for gps respond.
not working for me.
Do I have to be outside the house for this or online?

SugarSync 5GB Cloud Storage (dropbox killer)

SugarSync is the best syncronization solution i've tested so far
some of the features that attracted me mostly
- 5GB of free space (+ 500MB)
- sync the files between all the computers and devices
- music streaming
- photo sharing
- etc. (Also, as long as you keep getting referrals, you keep getting 500mb+)!
If you register through my referral link you'll get an additional 500MB (I also get)
https://www.sugarsync.com/referral?rf=ehxb6c0ogsep7
The switch is worth it. It is much more user friendly and has extra features compared to dropbox.

Looks really cool, but without a native app for Linux I'm going to pass. That's one thing that keeps Dropbox ahead of the game. I sent a request for supporting Linux, let's see what happens.

I understand, but if you emailed them, they should be quick in your response, i just emailed them about Symbian and they responded in less than 2 hours. Got to give them props to that. I'm sure however, that they are working on Linux, several other people have emailed them about this situation in the past.
I joined for your sake but will prbably wait until they fix the issues with Android. From what I have read it appears it is a battery hog and files don't sync 100% of the time. But hey, I got you another 500mb....
also signed up. Thanks!
Might sign up ;(

I have used Sugar Sync for awhile now and find it rather nice. I have not noticed any battery or sync issues on my end. Also, with the Cloud Save extension for Google Chrome it's really easy to get files on your phone if Chrome to Phone is giving you problems. I am somewhat surprised that Google has not jumped on the cloud storage train yet (other than Music Beta).
I like it! I already got another 750mb free by doing their little "getting started" tasks.

Seems nice, I really like being able to sync/download a single folder at once, unlike Dropbox, which is 1 file at a time. The "getting started" stuff never worked for me kept telling me to do it again so I just left it alone

Or if you don't like the OP you can use the link in my sig. JK OP...don't take it seriously. The good thing about Sugarsync is you can get up to an extra 10GB. I think I am up to a total of 11GB right now, which is real cool for keeping files synced between my laptop, Asus Transformer and Evo 3D. The bad thing about it is they don't have native Linux support, but a third party is building a Linux client. It is in Alpha stage now and you can get more info here: http://mwillis.co.uk/projects/sugarsync-linux-client/
I've been trying this for a while but can't decide which I like better.
I have carbonite already for full backup.
I've used dropbox forever and my wife actually likes it because it a folder in the my documents folder so she can just go in and out of there for shared files.
If I wanted to use sugarsync for full backup, it would cost alot more than carbonite so I'm just not sure if its worth the switch unless there are other features I'm missing.

I'm thinking so too. It's a nice setup but I think the size is the issue for me.
I'll keep playing with it though...I like the idea of putting sync and backup together but just not sure if it fits my particular needs. Nice program...
thanks op, my dropbox just maxxed out...enjoy the extra 500mb.i know i will...just need that native linux client. until then wine will do.
thanks again.
I don't know about sugar sync, haven't used it in a while (year maybe) but I remember it not working well when I tried it. I use dropbox religiously and couldn't live without it. Seems like sugarsync keps crashing on me and not syncing properly. Maybe it's been fixed and I should give it another go. My dropbox is almost full...
Does sugarsync have the option of using revision history? Can you go back a few days and grab an older version of a document you changed?

Box app 50 GB free storage

There is a new app floating around in the I9100 forum called box . http://www.box.com/ it is very similar to drop box but for the next 30 days you get 5 gb free when you create a free account and they upgrade it to 50gb if you sign in from the android , after the 30 days you still keep the 50gb. I just tested it out and sure enough I now have 50 gb of storage. enjoy

Not really, under the free version, dropbox let's you upload files up to however much space you have through the desktop version, and 300 MB through the site itself.
On the other hand, if you have the free version of box.com, you can only upload files up to 100MB in size. And then if you pay for the service, your file upload limit is 2GB. Which is peanuts in some cases.
I still signed up for box.com. I'm hoping that they will increase the file upload size in the future. Till then, I'll keep it around for whatever comes up.

Agreed re: the file size restriction for uploads - but with the total amount of space available, I can fit all my music and pics on Box - which will free up a good chunk of my space on dropbox and minus for the bigger single files. Guess I need to get around to organizing all my crap that's stored in the cloud somewhere...

Following your advice I archived my dropbox on box in 100MB rar volumes
Thanks for this! Now I'll use dropbox for small stuff and box for big files.
Awesome. Thanks for the heads up.
i got my 50GB free upgrade but what really kills it is that you need to pay for the business version in order to get the auto folder sync. Its a pain to use the website to upload files all the time, especially when i'm constantly changing the files in my folders that I'm syncing with sugarsync, right now.
i'm glad I got the free 50GB upgrade but I'll stick with sugarsync until box releases that autosync for free.
Yea jus sucks that they cap you at 10gb bandwidth and 100mb attachments. still 50GB for free is nothing to complain about. I'm gonna sort my dropbox and then archive it to BOX... JIC.
Seriously though at least let me get 256-512mb attachments if you're gonna give me 50 gigs to play with.
Worked for me too.

yeah i hear ya. I'm not complaining about the 50GB free upgrade - thats amazing to give away (although it doesnt cost them anything because they make their money off the increased upload limit prices and things like that).
anyway, 100MB limit doesnt even give me enough space to upload a ROM that I'm using (if I wanted to save it myself). I paid to upgrade my sugarsync account and I'm happy with it.

Supposedly they have webDAV so you can access your online files via a network share in windows or other OS. I'll check it tomorrow and post instructions or a link if it works.

I found the instructions for setting up WebDAV with Box.net and Windows at this link:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/upload-files-awesome-boxnet-windows-explorer/
I just tried it out and it works. I'm using the https connection and it is a little slow. This should also work for Mac and Linux; offhand I don't know how to setup WebDAV links on either.
So, this means you can use a folder synchronization tool to sync your files locally and on Box.net. On Windows I usually use SyncToy for this but there's other options too.
Hmmm. What do u mean sign in from the android? Just created account from phone and and says I have 5 gb of storage..which is cool. Dont get me wrong thanks for posting this

[APP][SOURCE]WP OEM APPS (Created using Windows Phone App Studio Beta!)

My dev account ran out, so here you go.
The apps inside are in no order and it looks terrible. This is pretty much a free version of Lumia Collection that I made in a few minutes. It was based mostly off of the LUMIA pusher app. The next version will almost be like APP OEM Update.
Here you go!
Created using Windows Phone App Studio Beta!- all in HTML5
EDIT: This app can be installed on device without filling your developer app limit (I have 3 available and 3 installed, so no more apps for me!)
Step 1: Go to here or http://dowappdiagnostics.blob.core.windows.net/aet/AET.aetx on your phone. It will install Microsoft Corp. as a company account.
Step 2: Download XAP from any where below on the phone!
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Profit!

My long term goal with this is to add apps for all OEMs, not just Nokias.
EDIT: Added Windows Phone App Studio url for my app.
[ulr="https://apps.windowsstore.com/dashBoard/DownloadXap?idJob=25731"]Windows Phone OEM Apps[/url]
You must have the [ulr="http://apps.windowsstore.com/"]Windows Phone App Studio[/url] account to be able to access the shared application.
If you need further assistance, view the Windows Phone App Studio [ulr="http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/wpapps/en-US/home?forum=wpappstudio"]support page[/url].
EDIT2:
Most of this post has been whited out, because the tool lost most of my work and the official MS download links were overwritten, so if you are reading this using a tapatalk app, sorry, just use the SkyDrive download or the attached file.
Thanks for downloading!

Are you registered as a Company account or how do you get / made it?
I tried to install xaps directly but it never worked.
Can you provide by this method also apps which require id_cap_interopservices?

I used the said tool above. It's created and generated using an MS sanctioned website. Those apps that are made with that tool are the only apps that work with this method. (so, they probably won't need interop)
So which part didn't work? If you installed the aetx file first then tried to download the xap, it should have quickly been installed. The part I'd like to know if this app works on WP7 too.
EDIT: I added the direct url instead. It might require it to only be downloaded from them.
EDIT2: I just started a revamp; it will have all the apps (as far as I know at the moment) for HTC, Samsung, Nokia, and Huawei and a url link to this site where a list of the links will be available for those who would like to install the apps remotely using www.windowsphone.com
I have a dev account and no apps uploaded. need me to help you submit the app?

Nah, I'd rather distribute them outside of the marketplace; anyways its too ugly for me to even consider that at the moment. I'm still working on the revamp and I'll probably change it semi-frequently enough where its good enough as a template for others to add stuff. I have set it to public on the app studio, so some one might have interest in using it. I still need to farm all the pictures for the oem apps though. That will be what takes the longest.
Okay, by the end of today the new OEM AIO edition should be out. Stay tuned!

Status.... Making this app useful...
Okay, things have happened in the past few days and I never released my app. Anyways, I have almost half of the Nokia apps listed, HTC and Huawei is complete AFAIK.
I hope to be able to upload today. Not that this app is important to release, now that there's a ton of app updaters now.
EDIT: The App Studio was acting screwy again. I lost all of my work again and overwrote the existing official downloads. Just use either the attached one or the one from my skydrive.
I know your app and my app are competitors but I offer any help if you want to stop using the windows phone app beta studio and change over to C# program language.
if you do want my help hit me up in a pm and lets talk.
Sure, my app was never meant to compete, it was a quick app I made in a few seconds to test how the app studio was supposed to deploy and make up for lumia pusher missing (before sysapp updater changed everything), and was a trek of its own. I've been taking steps to learn Visual Studio, C#, Silverlight, and Blend, but it's been difficult to use; my development machine has a bad ram module that needs replaced, keeps blue screening because of it and I'm broke, so it will be awhile 'til I'm back in the game.
Sure, I'll PM ya, if I need anything. Thanks for the nice gesture.

okay... Are you trying to install Nokia apps on your 8X? If you are, you are going to have to follow one of the tutorials for it. I don't have any HTC apps in there at all, except the new version, which broke everything.

I am following, but its broken
i want htc apps
by lumia
I left it in a too broken state to use/update. I made the app back when LUMIA pusher disappeared and SysApp Pusher was in its infancy, and was just a tool to launch the website link to the app to launch the page in the marketplace for it. I might come back eventually and fix it up for my learning's sake, but I don't intend on touching it.
