hey I am hoping someone here can help me out I am trying to find away to get my htc wizard to respond to at commands so that the phone can be accessed via a pc phone utility. I have had no luck locating something if someone here can suggest something it would be great.

ok! but if I can't connect with port \\.\WCEUSBSH001... once I connected but I couldn't write letter :?
can't backup rom
I also seem to have a problem finding WCEUSBSH001, I place device in bootloader mode and stop active sync then start the backup program but it only offers defasult com ports 1 to 7 if I type it in manually it returns an error.
Any clues from the Gurus out there greatly appreciated by this computer literate but PDA virgin confused person.

Im faily new to the android world. please forgive me of any stupid questions that i may ask.
I was trying to reinstall a new version of maximus 7 on my htc one .
i had the CM 10 installed and was having wifi issues. read that i should clear data and what not and instead of doing a factory reset....i did a format...
now i have no rom on the phone and cant figure out how to do this.
ill upload a video on what i currently have going on...
when i plug it in to the computer...i head the noise from the computer saying that it connected..but nothing popped up.
please help.

adb sideload. you should search this thread there are many that will help you

you should download all in one toolkit and use the sideload feature. read the on screen directions as you go through the process and you should have no problems
I also ran into a similar predicament a few days ago. I found adb push to be much easier than sideload. Make sure that your drivers and adb is installed on your PC (I assume Windows). In recovery mode, plug phone into USB and your PC should detect the phone but you won't be able to see phone contents; mine made a connection sound.
Then open a command prompt and type: adb push ROM.zip /data/media/ROM.zip
Rom.zip is the rom file that you want to flash, which should be in the same folder as adb. For the path, I used "/data/media" because the custom recovery defaults to that but you may be able to use "/sdcard" as well.
Then flash the rom using recovery

trying to root (trying to remove the pin) a clients x2 which contains important documents and information within sms messages.
device is stock and has never been rooted.
sitting on v2.3.4
cannot seem to find a way past permissions issues short of using some sort of hardware to dump /data directly from the chip.
cant dd through abd, trying any of the scripts wont work becuase usb debugging is not enabled.
any help is appreciated!

I need to extract the mmssms.db somehow. nothing more than that really.
ideally, i would like to get root so that i can unlock the alpha pin/too many unlock attempts situation, but this would just be best case scenario.
this is my first delve into android forensics, and its very frustrating. everything i read requires usb debugging
any help or insight or if you'd like to vent your frustrations, would be appreciated!

in your case bud,from what i know,unless your already rooted,or you have a clockworkmod recovery alreaady installed,you really cant do what you need,theres a zip file which will flash and unlock the screen,but you need cmw,which you need root to get. sorry

Hi all, someone can help me to find the TP on Xtouch X401?
I tried to upgrade this phone following the product guide, with their tool and their firmware, it seem all ok when i flash but when i unplugged usb the phone something has wrong and now the phone will not turn on, does not go into recovery mode and isn't recognized on pc....
I think is bricked, maybe i can try with TP if someone help me to find the point.

Hi, I apoligize is this is in the wrong thread but I need some help. I would like to pay for someone's time to root this phone of mine via my macbook (can boot straight to windows, your prefence).
