Hello Everyone,
I have a weired problem with my Hero. Due to a flatrate I have mobile web enabled all the time. Every now and then after restarting the phone the mobile web disables itself, though, automatically. Then I cannot switch it on anymore. When I check the Settings/Access point then I notice that to my three access point settings - Web GPRS, MMS and WAP GPRS - were added "wsp-disabled".
Normally it looks like the following:
APN:
internet.eplus.de
mms.eplus.de
wap.eplus.de
Every now and then after restarting the phone:
APN:
internet.eplus.dewsp-disabled
mms.eplus.dewsp-disabled
wap.eplus.dewsp-disabled
When I remove the "wsp-disabled" it works again.
I have Modaco 3.0 running on my phone. Has everyone encountered that problem? Usefull help would be appreciated since this is a really annoying problem!
Cheers

Hey,
Just this moment finished flashing Chucky's ROM onto my Virgin Media HD2 (UK)
Downloaded radio 2.14.50 before hand
I can call people fine but i have no internet connectivity, I'm on a contract with unlimited Internet so i can't afford to lose it!
Have i done something wrong?
Would really appreciate some help!
Cheers guys
give the phone a good 24 hours on the new rom thats how it happened for me my only problem is that every radio i flash is having the same echo problem
Does it mean anything if i actually can connect to the Internet, but Opera 9.7 and 10 both wont?
I tried internet explorer and could reach a few pages.
Tried both versions of Opera (My preferred browser!) and keep getting internal server errors on any page!
I'm on Virgin
settings, wireless controls, data connection, is it on? if not tap on the left of data, menu, updata data base current operator
then after the update, go back to data connection, tap on the off/on box it should go to on
when you flash, all you network providers settings are over written You need to reset them on the phone so now you need to set up mms as weel, try sending one after you have set up data
Thanks for the replies guys,
Actually before i saw the above post, i went to check Virgins site for info and they had manual settings that i used. So now my data connection is active with those settings and emails, intnernet seems to be working.
It's just opera that isn't. I've tried the whole Opera:config thing and disabling auto connect box but nothing!
It doesn't bother me that much it's just i've always found opera mobile to be more fluent than IE!
I have a peculiar problem and i guess, from google search results, that many others have similar problem.
I am using Samsung Galaxy S 2 mobile phone.
Of late, the default Browser application on my samsung galaxy s2 just keeps coming up with the standard "Web page not available" page when I try to connect to any website.
I generally use default browser to access the web and this used to work perfectly. Of late it has developed this problem. I then tried Dolphine, Miren, Skyfire and this also did the same!
All other applications are fine and can connect to the internet perfectly well. Only In browser, which was downloaded prior to this problem, works fine.
So it seems like something is amiss with my settings / files that the default Browser, Dolphin and Skyfire use.
Any ideas?
You can also reach me on [email protected].
Hoping that someone here would be able to resolve this issue.
Samsung GT-I9100, Android version 2.3.4, Orange network
I had this problem. Browser worked fine on 3G and would not work on wi-fi even though all apps worked. I fixed this by deleting the Proxy setting - Wi-Fi settings > menu Advanced > Proxy and clear the field. Works OK now.
thanks for response, but it does not solve my problem.
i hope any senior member would come forward on this problem.
Hi, i got the same problem, is Access Point Names problem. Please go Settings->Wireless and network->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names->and choose the DIGI/CELCOM/MAXIS internet. * choose according what telco you using.
solved: use packet data
Hi- Samsung Galaxy S2 with same problem. Also could not attach pictures to text messages, and phone stuck on "downloading" a message of type "multimedia message notification"; both of which may be related issues?
This helped me: make sure "use packet data" is checked at:
settings\wireless and network\mobile networks
(It may have been cancelled by letting my battery die?)
Hey, everyone. Using your AMAZING n00b guide and overall lurking of this website for several months since January I've done quite a few awesome things with this phone. Currently I am running Cyanogen Mod 7.1.0-Ba2tF-Olympus (any further information how I got there can be provided if necessary). I'm having a slight issue though. I've noticed that sometimes I'll randomly have no data or cellular service what-so-ever. To gain access to data and cellular service at that point I will then have to restart the phone, wait for it to boot, turn on WiFi, wait for that to connect, use an application like Browser or Facebook to test connectivity, if data transmits then I'm good, then AND ONLY after I go through all that can I disable WiFi and connect through regular data and cellular channels. I was wondering if this has happened to any of you and if anyone had any idea on how to fix it?
If you need clarification I'd be more than happy to try and sort my explanation out for you.
Thank you all in advance and I hope to hear from you soon!
Hello,
Did your APN settings are good ?
You can found it there : Setting / networks / Mobile Networks / Access Point Name.
Where are you from, what is your carrier ?
Regards.
I am thinking you need to flash a new radio.
First, let me say I searched threads and forums looking for someone who had same problem and could not find any posting similar. The only one I found that similar was about the APN. I created a new APN using the settings I found in that thread, but it has not helped at all.
Got a pop-up/update message on phone yesterday about upgrading to ICS. I was running a stock HTC Amaze - not rooted - on Simple Mobile, and it was working great.
Upgraded phone to ICS OTA and love the new interface but having two problems, even after setting up the phone to run on the Simple network.
1. Phone is slow and will only run/display 2G whereas it used to be fast and say 4G.
2. Wifi tethering seems to be gone as it will not allow a tethered device to go to the page requested. (I have found threads about how to address this issue, so it is not a big concern like to 2g/4g speed issue.)
3. My android smiles are gone now......all I have are normal smiles. :-(
Any suggestions on what to do would be GREATLY appreciated.....
under mobile network settings, set your network mode to wcdma only.
I don't know much about the tethering issue, been on custom roms for a while, but apparently its a paid feature now. unlock your phone and install a custom rom, and you wont have that issue anymore
Could be a bad flash, though it doesn't really sound so, just sounds like they restricted a few things on other networks.
Fixed and working great....thanks sent to both who posted replies!!!!
Glad to see you got it fixed. If you don't get MMS, make sure you change your APN to the Simple Mobile APN. T-Mobile and Simple Mobile has slightly different APN settings.
Good day beautiful people,
to precise my issue, from post title, it is not fully disconnecting but "partially" but please bear with me as I will explain it below.
Issue:
Once I will lock my phone, on mobile network connection only, after a few seconds my hotspot will stop working as well as after unlocking, I'm not able to use apps like Twitter, Reddit, etc. because it says "no internet / connectivity issue, please try again later". Then I need to turn mobile off and on, to make it work.
This is quite serious problem for me, since for next few weeks I will be working on mobile network and with that, the only solution I got is to keep phone unlocked all the time.
But. Apps like messenger, whatsup, bank app, stock app - everything is working just fine, sending notifications and so on. So it's disabling only some apps / services?
Smartphone:
Name: Realme GT 5G
Model: RMX2202
Version: realme UI 3.0
Android: 12
What I tried so far:
Changed preferred network type from 5G/LTE/3G/2G to LTE/3G/2G.
Restart settings for WiFi/Bluetooth/Mobile.
Reset all phone settings.
Search for any settings that are limiting background activity when phone is not used.
I spent 2 days looking for any solution to this matter but it seems that no one got similar issue.
