Application Request: Group Call / SMS Blocking - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HTC Hero (Sprint)
I would love to have an Android OS application that allows me to block calls from contacts derived from their group i.e. co-workers, family, favorites etc or Blocked / Restricted/ Unavailable numbers etc.
This application should provide the ability to configure blocking calls based on day (Mon, Tues etc) and time (6:00pm to 12:00AM etc)
Use Case: I want to send any contact in my phone that is in a Co-worker group to voicemail from Friday 6:00pm until Monday 8:00 AM without the phone ringing / vibrating etc.
I want to send any blocked / restricted / unavailable caller ID number directly to voicemail without the phone ringing / vibrating etc.
It would be great to prevent any on screen notifications from blocked calls / sms other then maybe a flashing indicator light.
It would be nice to be able to access a log of blocked SMS / Calls.
It would be nice to not have these calls show in the call log / history.
OPTIONAL:
1- It would be nice to be able to configure sending to voicemail or pickup and hangup preventing voicemail access.
2- Black list (block) or white list (allow) for specific individual contacts would be great.
I know we have the ability on the HTC HERO for Sprint to send contacts directly to voicemail in their profile...
afirewall allows you to establish white and black lists for blocking SMS and Calls but does not allow group blocking or restricted number blocking. ( I am currently using this application)
Google Voice appears to have some of this functionality native. I would like to see this native in the Android OS with the above enhancements.
This type of application will make a developer serious $$$.

Block anonymous callers on Android

I found many threads about blocking anonymous callers by adding Anonymous in the phone field and something like that. I found out that adding -1 to the phone number detects the call as unknown but the phone rings too even if I send the call directly to my voicemail. You can see my post here http://androidforums.com/incredible...k-restricted-unknown-numbers.html#post3644419
Is there any way to do this without any app.
If you want to do it without any app then your dialer must support it. MIUI supports this by default.
I think my dialer does not supports it then.

[REQUEST] Intercept outgoing calls and route through Google Voice regional access #

As you probably know, the versions of Google Voice beyond 0.4 have employed "direct access numbers" to speed dialing, in which a shadow Google Voice number is applied to each of your contacts.
In prior versions of Google Voice (0.34 and before), a common regional access number was used for all contacts. While theoretically, dialing could be slower, I've never noticed it. The advantage of the old version of GVoice was that you could add that common regional access to your "Friends and Family" list and get essentially unlimited outgoing calls. The problem with using the old version is that:
- you cannot get the application to cleanly install on 4.04 and up (at least, and maybe actually on earlier system versions, too).
- you cannot get notifications delivered to your stock messaging app
- the interface is crapola
- the options are limited.
I'm requesting a stand-alone app that intercepts outgoing calls (like GVMyNumber) and instead of initiating a call back, routes the call through the GV regional access number, regardless of the version of GV installed on your phone.
Alternatively, if someone knows of a way to disable shadow numbers in the new version of Google Voice, that would work too.
Any ideas?

CM11 Dialer: Dialer/Browser automatically add "+1" prefix which blocks outgoing calls

CM11 Dialer: Dialer/Browser automatically add "+1" prefix which blocks outgoing calls
Great experiences so far with CM11. Persistent issue with native dialer (as well as Google Dialer) and unnecessary plus-code dialing for domestic calls.
However, I've noticed a persistent bug: the dialer will not complete any call that begins with a plus code extension (for example, “+1 555 6946). The dialer produces a busy signal instead of completing the call. However, if I edit it before calling to remove the “+1” prefix, the call completes normally. This problem occurs even though I am only making domestic calls within the US, and occurs in every tested version of Cyanogenmod (although it is absent in the rooted stock rom).
I can replicate the problem for any number that I look up on a web browser through Google. For example, if I look up “Chipotle New York” and hit “call” it automatically sends the dialer a number with a “+1” extension. Again, this results in a busy signal unless I edit the number to remove the “+1” prefix. This means that I cannot simply edit all of my contacts to remove the prefix since the problem will occur anytime I send a contact to my dialer through a browser.
Thanks in advance for any insights.
Device Information:
- CyanogenMod 11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-jewel
- Android version 4.4.4
- Baseband version 1.13.11.1105
- Sprint (USA)
- on HTC Jewel (Evo 4g LTE)
Saw you hadn't gotten an answer to this in threads across a few sites, so hopefully this finds you. I've not found a proper fix for this bug either, but have been able to work around it by using an app called Prefixer from the store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tftbelow.prefixer&hl=en. A single outgoing rule is free. Just create one to remove all instances of +. The + will be put into the dialer still from google or calling back a number that came in with it, but when you hit send, the app intercepts the number, removes the + and the call connects.
Its a hack, but it works for now. Happy dialing!

[Q] Android App Suggestion Needed : Communications Hub

Hello
I will be travelling to another country, however I wish to keep my (home country) current mobile connection (number) active since a lot of local (banking etc ) services and sms alert notifications are received on my home country mobile number.
I plan to keep my mobile switched on and hooked to the charger to let it run :
Hence I am looking for an Android App to :
1. Monitor the incoming calls and selectively based on rules either decide to offer a IVR recording to leave the message (recorded on the SD card in wav or amr format) OR forward the call to another predefined number (presumably my cell number in the visited country). The caller wont have to pay the charges for international calling, since the outgoing call from the cell is originated and the caller and receiver are connected as if being on a conference call.
2. Similarly monitor the incoming SMS and based on rules either store locally or forward to predefined international number.
3. For point number 1, an option to upload the recorded voice messages to an online service like google drive or dropbox, with the filename containing the caller number/name and date/time of the call, and delete from the phone after a successful upload. This way I can retrieve the voice messages via internet instead of using the mobile operator voice recording service.
Back in the days on my Nokia N95 there used to be an excellent symbian application which was able to do most as described above and more, I am looking for a similar type pf application on android.
I have seen that an app exist https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.blacklist&hl=en but it is more focused on the security and blocking aspect .
I am looking for an app which let you run a mini PABX on the mobile to offer similar functionality.
Does anything like this exists...Need your guidance and suggestion to find the correct app.
P.S :
The company making the symbian app, is maybe out of business but you can read about this excellent app (Interactive Voice Call Master) over here http://my-symbian.com/s60v3/software/applications.php?faq=1&fldAuto=156
Thanks.

App which blocks selected calls automatically (no ringing) and responds by SMS

Hello,
I 'm new in this forum . I´m from Germnay.
I'm looking for an app which blocks selected calls automatically (no ringing) to a set time ( for example: holidays , meeting ) and immediately and automatically sends an SMS.
The numbers should be selected and can be entered in a blacklist and whitelist :
- Groups from my phone-book
- individual contacts from Contact List
It should, if possible multiple profiles can be created with different SMS texts and times .
Calls Blacklist saves all blocked calls in a journal.
(wrote with Google Translate)
Thanks
Dieter
I think calls blacklist would be what you need.
