Hi,
I am a new android developer.
I need to unlock HTC G2 magic so that I can flash, upgrade/downgrade android OS. Also I want to install modified version of android OS.
Not to mention that this is for developement purpose and although the dev phone is available, it's not available in my region. I need to unlock a retail version (HTC G2 with 288MB RAM) to make it work just like a dev phone.
Please tell me how can I do that.

Hi all,
I got a new HTC Touch Dual, and now I am considering upgrade options.
I have a 1.31.405.09 ROM version (it is 10/31/07 date) so I think I need an upgrade.
It is orginal HTC, so no lock is on it.

Or use any cooked ROM out there, BD's v6 for an example or my own ROM (look at my signature)!

Hello. I recently got an m8 so i was wondering if there were any custom roms that keep the gesture when the phone is locked but also gives vanilla android experience. Also can you list a couple of good roms to use. Thanks

as title says, i want to know can I flash russian/international rom on my indian phone with indian firmware? will it work fine? if no, then is it possible to port them? if someone know how to port then please give some guidelines for mtk device.

too bad i couldn't even get answer of a general question from community. anyway, i tested international (i.e. Russian version) rom on my phone. its working perfectly fine, all you have to do is just change the language at the first boot page. attached a picture as proof. so folks, international roms can be used, enjoy! :good:
Gentlemen and Ladies. i apologise for the direct question but after reading the posts and thread about the upgrading of the ROM for an HTC Desire Z A7272 i m no longer the wiser. i simply don't understand the procedures well enough.
i am pleading for a step by step instruction of how i may install a custom latest version Android ROM onto this brand new network free NOS handset. i am happy to pay and even send the phone to somebody to do the root. i am based in the UK but very happy to send Europe wide if needed.

After several hours of searching, I'm posting my question here (bought my first LG smartphone so I don't have many references, so maybe it's simple but I can't find the solution).
I just bought an LG G8X, model number LM-G850UM. It comes with an At&T overlay. It's unlocked, no SIM issues. I would just like to remove AT&T completely. I mean, not just the bloated apps.
The point is, I'd like to be able to install ROM updates without waiting for it to go through ATT every time (I'm not even in the US). For example, take any international KDZ to downgrade, and be able to receive OTA without waiting for it to be officially available through ATT.
It's a bit confusing, I tried to explain as best I could.
I want to do the same thing. I tried with KDZ and LGUP but didn't work...
