Do you think it is worth to create this topic,as I've seen thin on russian website, so, thought it may be useful to avoid loads of similar treads
Yes, it could be very useful.
Maybe it should better be an XDA-Wiki page, and an sticky post here, pointing to that wiki page.

Sorry about that, I scanned back a page or so to look for a previous post, but did not do a search. My bad!
Hello all, I am needing to unlock an AT&T 8525 to use on T-Mobile's network.
Can anyone give me some cliff notes? Mainly just differences. I have unlocked and reflashed quite a few MDAs so I am just looking to see whats different on doing this to a newer phone. I would imagine lokiwiz.bat wouldn't be used for this? What is the OEM radio? Is there an official WM6 ROM available?
Thanks in advance!
Dain

Please?

Dude, its a simple question on the differences of the procedure of unlock two different phones that people feel would be good "tips" for me. I read plenty and it all just seems a tad different. If you think that your post was a great contribution to my current thread then you are highly mistaken.
Anything else?
Read this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722.
And in case sim unlock needed read this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665

When you search, or read anything, you may find people being more co-operative. Posting a new thread is very likely to get you flamed!
Since the 8525 is a Hermes in a coat, unlocking is going to be the same as any other Hermes based device. It doesn't take a rocket scientest to work that out!
Stickies are there for a reason! - If you'd looked through the first 5 threads in the forum you posted this in, you'd have found what you needed, and then, if you had an issue with that because you couldn't be asked to read the post, then you could have posted in that thread!!!
Or, as someone else did, you could have PMed someone - including me!, asking for clarification on the wiki page.
To be honest with you, I don't think posting in a thread 100 pages long yields great results based on my past experiences with XDA. Maybe that's just the Wizard section though...
I get what you are saying but I don't think you are getting what I am saying. I read plenty. I am seeing a lot of terms and processes that don't seem the same that I am used to so I was just looking for opinions. If you want to cripple your "section" of this forum by not letting someone asK for some opinions then so be it. I am not just some n00b logging in asking "hey how i unlock dis fone i got today?"
I've seen that other communities on this portal have them, I was wondering if we could have one specific to the G-Tab. As a noob I find it somewhat confusing trying to follow some of the discussions where a lot of technical terms are thrown out, or procedures are mentioned in developers short hand that I don't fully understand.
Would someone mind creating a post defining some of these terms and procedures and what they do? Maybe include it in the FAQ thread...
Examples: cwm, nvflash, rom, mount etc...
There is half a page of stickies in this forum. Stickies are great for pinning relivent / good to know / frequently accessed threads so they are easy to referance to, however when you have dozens (ya i know its only 10) of them it kind of defeats the purpose.
This does not mean the threads have useless information, nor does it mean they are not valuable to the community, its just my belief that the forum should have a clean look about it while still being easy to use / navigate the mess of information.
I have noticed other forums on XDA have a master sticky thread that LINKS to the important information that used to be stickied, that may be a viable option here.
Another option might be to condence some of the information? Operation Ironfist and the questions posted in general threads basically go along the same lines: Post stuff where it goes, or else. Why have two threads saying the same thing?
Is the "Updated to ICS and stuffs freezing on me" thread really relivant at this point? Most people have updated their primes by now, or are getting tablets with ICS already loaded on em. Does this need to be stickied?
The Do's and Donts of unlocked primes, shouldnt that go to the dev section since thats where the unlocked prime content is?
The unofficial by official asus thread... the first post hasnt been updated in a while, we basically all know the info thats in there, mostly people go there to ask questions that have been asked (and answered) a dozen times before.
The Serial number not found thread also seems a bit dated. There is a seach button for a reason.
Guides, Mods, and Helpful Posts...
THIS is where links to these threads SHOULD be, one index as it were of good threads people might need to referance to. A mod might add relevant info to this post and remove some stickies and, in my opinion, make the forum a better place.
Agreed? Or am i totally out of line? Discuss. (respectfully)
I read the title of your thread and then had a look and counted all the stickies.
Now I agree that maybe we have too many, but I am certainly not the man for the job when it comes to writing "THE CONDENSED MASTER THREAD"!
There are some of our fellow members here though that I believe are well up to the task.
+1 there are too many stickies imho. Also some of them like unknown serial update fail are somewhat outdated
Please sticky this thread.

Thanks to OP for volunteering. Please PM mod when done.
I would have to agree. Seems like we could at least cut the number stickies in half.
I completely agree when half of the first page is stickies it makes stickies useless. I used to admin a forum back in the day when windows "longhorn" or vista beta was in the making. I made sure stickies got limited to 5 max but tried to keep it at 2 or 3. When I had a lot of info that needed to be archived I simply created another section and archived all the info from the stickies and made it no reply. Funny you should post this as this is the very first thing that comes to mind every single time I log on here....TOO MANY STICKIES!
+1
I was just mentioning this yesterday.
*golf clap*
I love this site ! and how everyone helps eachother. The only issue I have and have read others have is the instructions on how to do things get so bloated up with information that it ends up being VERY confusing. I understand bugs, and such have to be worked out but it seems like when there is a final product why not put it into a simple sticky with instructions and lock it so it doesn't get loaded with 50 pages of thanks and questions ? Just sayin...

that "bloated" information is usually important, so read it, thats what we do here. if you don't like reading tons of information and willing to dig though "50 pages" of questions and answers, this site, respectfully sir/madam, isn't for you. it's what we do here.
example: if you'd been reading all that annoying information and complex instructions, you'd have read the sticky rules and know that this post doesn't belong in this section at all, that this section is specifically for developers to post ROMs they've made
