strange but lucky^^:
it works 100% the same like bevor.
i cant even feel anything, maybe because of the screen protection film.
so what do you profs think, should it only be the digitizer ore is there anything else?

Cali-for-nyee-aayyy Love, brah.
Oh! when I saw your hd2. I think we should double take care of our HD2.
Thats nothing this is what i did to mine:
Lucky seen as i had insurance so i got it a new phone to replace it
have a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=613954&page=24
You're not the first and not the last either, I bet. It happened to me too and I fixed it myself using the tips found on XDA.
The best one being getting a complete unit (LCD + Digitizer) and not just the screen.
I paid about 100 € on Ebay for the unit, came in about 3 dayx with the special tools shown on the leaked HTC video tutorial.
If I managed to do it, anyone can, believe me

Hello,
as far as I know HTC charge about 180 € ...
But you can have it repaired cheaper when you looking arround and find a local phone store.
I know what you must feel
@ceh01:
must say that pattern on yours is best so far
Hi,
HTC quoted £120 to repair the glass.
4 more month until i'm due an upgrade
Wondering if its worth it....
:S
man, some pretty bad looking screens here. i was soooo lucky with mine the other week. i was in the shed when i knocked my leo off the bench and it landed face down on the concrete, i well an truely shat my pants. god knows how or why but i got away with a tiny tiny crack in the top left corner, it really is so small its miniscule but i'll still probably blag a new screen through the bank insurance about a month before im due to upgrade.........

from past experience with other phones (and seeing gf phone without taking it apart)
you should just be able to replace the screen, as the touch behind it will be fine
(that assuming the display is fine (as in just crack, no lines or dent in touch screen)
telling you rubbish if its fine.
Hello dear XDA Devs,
Is there a fix for screen ghosting (random touch input) for a ZU? Mine often goes crazy if i have warm hands and come near to my device whith them. Same happens if i breath a little bit on the display.
Water marks are white and the device has Root + Locked bootloader
Thanks and Greedings

Firstly try to clean the screen without any stain or greases...
Try to tweak the sensitivity by changing the figure in /system/usr/idc/max1187x_touchscreen_0.idc (touch.filter.level = 5)...
Try to play around to get the best for ur device...
BTW white water marks due to water damage device??

This device has no water damage, that's what i wanted to say . Because of touch.filter.level: Sorry that i didn't sayed that i already tryed this whith best results @ 7, which is too high for a pen input, but the device doesn't go crazy that often.
Yesterday i've seen that you can fix this on Nexus 4 by reisolating a cable. If this is the case on ZU i'm gonna send it in for Warranty.

Better just send back to Sony...
I'm facing similar problems with my ZU =/
After I've tried to replace a protective skin for my display, the phone started to present ghost touching. I mean, a LOT of ghost touching. As my warranty expired a few months ago, I sent the phone to a private maintenance and now they want to replace the whole screen.
Do you think I'll have to replace the screen or maybe there's a way out of this? Here in Brazil, replacing the screen can be as expansive as buying a new phone (and I must confess that I'm tempted to forget about my Z Ultra and buy a Z2), so if I could fix this in some another way... well, that would be terrific.
Thanks in advance!

maybe this will help. Its the Fix i found for the Nexus 7
I started to have a lot of that Phantom touches after taking off my aftermarket screen protector. **** was so annoying. I still have the anti shatter film but don't want to mess with that crap so I installed another screen protector and everything is normal again.
It has been 1 month since installing the new screen protector and no ghost touches.
Sent from my C6833 using XDA Free mobile app
Well... I must confess that the idea of installing a new screen protector never occurred to me
I guess this could worth the shot, actually. Anyway, I've ordered a new display (got a really good price... way way cheaper than the official maintenance was charging), so if the new screen protector won't work out, I'll proceed to replace the whole display.
Hi
Sorry if wrong category. I was sheard forum and i dont found that problem.
So, i have S6 Edge with broke glass screen. In my country everyone say its impossible replace it. I must pay one month pay work for new screen......
But i saw many YT tutorials where mens from other countries do it.
I have
New glass(cheap chinese)
hair dryer
UV flashlight
UV Glue
deck of cards
scalpel
But, no one says how i can clean old glue and how i can repair long hole in side device(i want incuding photo but i cant), that thing under glass but upper screen become detached. Can i use screen glue? When i push in specific place then touch buttons work, normaly no i use ****[email protected] program and TouchWiz always screaming at me when he need some app permissions so i must reinstall it over and over...
Sorry for my tragic English, this is not my native language. I tryed hard. Thanks everyone for help.
Hmm I know other people who have been in this situation where the screens are very expensive or hard to replace. They purchased phone insurance and then made a claim a few weeks later and got the screen fixed.. after reading you've already attempted so you'd have the extreme cases of saying it was lost... There's many things wrong with this method but many do it

Okay, well hopefully someone on here can give you some good advice
i tried replacing my screen, i ended up tearing the LCD so had to buy a new LCD assembly which is easy to replace but it costs a fair bit more.
this is by far the best way but if you want to just try the screen then be very very careful as the LCD is glued to the screen and hard to seperate.
That hole its biger and biger. Now i have left and rigjt button with only back funcion. Something is really bad there. I must repair this fast.
OK, theme to close. I **** up screen. Never ever repair phone when drunk. Eeverything go to trash.
Hello guys, I hope for you expert opinion here. Yesterday I picked up my beloved Note 4 Global version and saw lines all of the screen, and it flickers all the time. It is definitely a hardware issue because the lines can be seen on the boot and in the TWRP. Also if I apply a bit of pressure on the phone on different sides, sometimes you can see the lines changing, ones they diapered for 5 minutes completely. I have dropped it a day before, from my trousers pocket, but it was fine for a while after that...
I bought this phone from www.gearbest.com and I live in Germany. After reading all the reviews about the warranty procedure I decided that I don't want to send it back to gearbest, because in the best case scenario I will get the phone in half a year, in the worst I won't get it at all.
My question is, do you think the fault is in the motherboard or LCD screen itself? I could buy a new LCD for 25 euros and replace it myself.

from the teardown video, the screen removal is not that hard but not sure if you can get the screen for 25 euros tbh. Best of luck~

I know it's not hard, I've done it to other phones as well. The question is if it's the screen, or the motherboard.
Found a screen here, as far as I know, the 4X screen is compatible with Global version.

That is correct, I don't want to buy a new LCD to find out that some controller somewhere on the motherboard is dead.
Actually buying the phone was very easy. Having any kind of service is much harder. And you can't buy this phone in Germany. They don't sell them here.
