I think that's not possible because it seems they say that this OS will be only for multitouch screens....

If you upgrade your windows mobile with the latest version of 6.5 (winmo 6.53) it enables multi touch.
so it could still be a possibilite

Multitouch will never be possible on Toshiba Tg01, thats because it does not have a capacitative screen, end of story, however, windows 6.5.3 could work on Tg01 without that functionality

Hi, is there any opportunity to install windows mobile 6.0 standard edition (for smartphones) on my HTC TyTN? Lots of thanks in advance =)
for smartphones? why?
why would you want to do this firstly?
never heard about it being don
doubt it's possible as the os needs to
have 100% the right drivers to boot
and even then the screen would no longer
react to touch

Interface of WM6 standard edition is adopted for keyboard manipulations without touchscreen. I am using mostly keyboard but i can not get all the functionality. I think using keyboard is faster than touchscreen.
You say "mostly"... if you could install WM6 Standard on the TyTN it would be "always"! Forget about doodling in Notes and quick copy'n'paste in Pocket Word!
AFAIK, WM6 Standard is adapted to use a standard phone number pad and this is missing on the Hermes. Why don't you sell your TyTN and buy the S720 or S730? There you have both an outside number pad and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

There's any chance to put it on Prophet?

Touch Flo 3D is for VGA devices! It may be possible to hack together a non VGA (QVGA) version, but it will take some time...
Never on Prophet and never on non hardware accelerated devices.
Now it only work on Diamond but can maybe work on Cruise and Kaiser if HTC release drivers one day.

But look at the PointUI interface. I think is builded in the same way and it's working very good on prophet.
PointUI is not in 3d, therefore it's much lighter on the system.

So sad!!
It's very nice!!
I know this is not a dev thread but theres no where els to post this.
I'm probably not the first person to ask this for a tablet, but is there anyway on putting a version of windows on the gen 9s because the gen 9s have enough power to run windows EG: windows XP.
Is this even possible for a honeycomb tablet or not ?
The problem is not the "power" of the tablet but the CPU architecture they are running... Windows is designed to run on X86 Cpu's, our tablets are running an ARM Cpu... so you WILL be able to get windows on our tablets once windows releases windows 8, that has an ARM version... after that It's just a matter of being able to get the drivers for windows
Ok well I really don't like windows 8 from what I've seen from the preview videos on youtube.
I prefer the bare bones look of windows 7 or below. Hopefully there will be a way of getting that windows phone 7 look off of windows 8 otherwise i ant upgrading to windows 8 on my laptop or tablet.
That is just the Metro UI, you can disable it in the controle panel... Once you've done that, you basically have Windows 7 with some upgraded features, and some handy touch-implemented applications
But It's too early to know for sure if we can get it working on the G9 tablets, when It's released I'll give it a try
Well I hope you can disable it because I hate it.

yep! just a setting in the control panel, easy to get rid of.
You are somehow wrong.
In the X86 Developer Edition you are able to disable Metro,
but as the ARM Version will not have the normal Desktop (as no x86 Program will run)
you have to live with Metro.
But as every Linux for ARM out there is as "Basic" as XP, you can use that now.

I just hope that I'll be able to play AOE 2 on my tablet.
you won't be able to do.
aoe2 has no arm-builds. it only runs on x86-compatible systems.
you will not be able to run photoshop, counterstrike or any other well-known software. not if the maintainer of the software decides to create an arm-version.

Possibly, but already the stability that Wine has on x86 machines is terrible, so I wouldn't hope too much... there are alternatives thou

well, for android I've tried Age of Conquest by Gameloft and that isnt bad... bit like risiko, so it might be a bit more static than what you are looking for... otherwise you can try settlers... other than those I haven't looked that much... I'm sure we will have some options in ubuntu as well...
Hello my friends
Excuse me I have a question
If win phone8 will hack,
Is it possible that custom Rom of Win phone 8 will run on Titan??

Hacked must be bootloader - not OS. Actually WP8 phones have secureboot.

No.

Windows Phone 7.x is CE kernal based; Windows Phone 8 is NT like Windows 8. Microsoft has plans to introduce Windows 8 Phones in the near distant future. The HTC Titan I (Eternity) was the last Windows Phone that the bootloader could be HSPL, nothing since has been successfully "hacked," though there is some talk the Huawei model has made some progress towards that goal. My only beef with the HTC Titan are the mobile data speeds seem to be throttled at Cat 8 not Cat 10 and Skype not being able to run in background; other than that, I'm happy with the device.

What are the insights now after 2 years. Still no options to boot/install windows phone 8 to an htc titan? What about nokia apps and the here suite for windows phone 7.8 on the titan?
Anyone with a leaked image to try ?
Awww, this thread subject was exciting then the actual body of the OP was a disappointment.
Afaik there is absolutely nothing to leak.
Remix OS 3.0 has just been shown running on an arm device; so even if there was a copy of that ROM somewhere, it would be useless unless you also have that device (Remix Pro).
lol
I hope that if it is release for pc they might have fix the touch input on the surface pro lineup.

Or (theoretically), a device with the same chipset.
However, by the time it was ported, RemixOS 3.0 may already get an official release.

This is for arm devices which is why the Android x86 port is not out yet.
I hope that 3.0 will be better then 2.0 in terms of bug fixes and comparability with more devices especially the surface pro 4 with the touch input. dual boot will be interesting on the SP4. AmiDuOS runs good but makes my pc SP4 run hot do to the CPU heavy usage. can't wait for the new release and news on it
while waiting for Remix 3.0 i went have a look at x86 6.0 rc1 witch i did install over an existing x86 4.4 (you're asked to upgrade or make a new install) it booted fine with all my settings, you do have multiwindow now except you can only have 2 or 4 windows at the same time not resizable and less compatible then remix, next i found my cpu and hd usage was too high, but the good is the settings panel is original to 6.0. Alltogether i'm back to remix on ext4 usb with swap part., it is running perfectly for me, no lags at all...

Well, I expect development will be moving along much easier going forward. In case you missed it -- Jide Announced New Range of Android Devices & Hire Founder of Android-x86 Project
They've been very quiet since then. I think we're going to see something very big in this next update in terms of how well remix and x86 are married.
I just downloaded the latest test Chinese version . 401
Boy is it LOCKED DOWN
no root command line
no play store
Hopefully we will see something better when it is released

Main improvement appears to be keymapping...
Would love H264 codec enabled in latest build

It's for the x86-64 architecture.
And here is a faster mirror, if anyone wishes to download.

If you get the "Decryption Error" message like I did, in G-Chrome refresh the page, before you click download through browser, hit f12, select console and type in 'skipcheck=1', then hit enter. Should work then.
