oops...no, I believe that one is only for stereo audio out...I didn't realize you wanted it for calls too
That one you first saw is probably your best bet, they'll all be close to that price. And, most any that you see that say they'll work with another HTC model should work fine on the Rhodium, as they all use the same USB headset protocol.
so HTC Tattoo will be ok to use then?

Has anyone got a pair of these for the Xperia X10?

Headphone wire is starting to drive me mad especially when I am on my 125.
Any reviews? other than Amazons

I have them, in fact I imagine there are several people who do. For me they came free as a promotional offer on Rogers here in Canada, and I read that some people got them bundled along with the phone.
They work pretty well, although I've never seen the song-ticker ever working on any device I've connected to it (although I don't even think it's actually a feature), I always have gotten good quality audio from my x10, my windows 7 pc at home, and my iMac at work. It lasts a long time and it's easy to switch between the devices. The only issue I have with it, and it can be pretty annoying, is that it will sometimes lose connection with my x10 and I will have to unpair it and repair it or otherwise restart bluetooth on the phone. It could be an issue with interfering wifi signals or something else on the phone.
I take it you missed THIS thread on the same page.

I just got my replacement digitizer and LCD screen. Installed everything according to the guide in our forum. Screen works fine except now I think something may be wrong with my mic. Does anyone know which connector is for our microphone. I just double checked all the connections and they seem to be in correctly. I dont know what else to do.

If your rooted, perform a full wipe and flash a different rom. If you are not rooted or have already tried that, call sprint and get another.

Not sure if this is helpful or not - but this person on another forum was complaining that he took his phone to sprint and they replaced his digitizer. After he left the store he called people and they couldn't hear him talk - something about his mic not working after sprint repaired it.
He ended up getting a new phone from sprint which in your case doesn't help. However maybe while replacing the screen you accidentally hit the microphone or something? Maybe since sprint did it also, its an easy thing to do.
you just unplugged the wire to the mic. lol or the connection isn't solid. btw, THIS THREAD WAS FROM LAST YEAR! lmao! but good job on searching. hahaha. but open it up and look for the mic and plug it back in? OR DO WHAT I DO, USE BLUETOOTH! I personally have a SOUND ID 6 SERIES! IT WORKS GREAT! best on the market! well, kindof anyway! lol. they were stupid and only put 2.1 bluetooth on it instead of 3.0 or 4.0. they were playing stupid.

Yeah right, I'm from NY everybody here talks into their pens, lol..
I had a sony ericsson BT headset that had a small LCD for caller ID.. i don't know why Samsung didn't put a LCD on this badboy there is clearly room for it.. It would just make it more functional and makes total sense.. when the phone rings i must look @ the tablet and decide if i want to take the call or not.. With an LCD on the BT headset all we would have to do is pick up the BT headset and we could see who is calling and decide take the call or decline it.. we are on the cutting edge fellas.. the cutting edge..

I think I have mentioned this before, but I think the ultimate would be not only to incorporate a small LCD/OLED for things like caller ID, but also to include a 3.5mm jack on the top for external earphones if you wanted, as well as playback controls, with track info on the display. Then, as if that weren't awesome enough, add s-pen functionality on the tip! Now THAT would be a monster combination paired up with an s-pen compatible 7.7!

How does the sound quality fare, both on your end and on the other person's end?
P.S. The design ideas above might be over the top to some, but if the form factor remains in tact, or is improved, it could still be a great idea. Essentially, it could open up a whole new market for tablets which have phone functionality. ASUS is doing something similar with their EeePad MeMO in the form of their MeMIC. Albeit, I don't think their design is quite as elegant as a tricked out HM5000 might be, but the principle is the same: turn your tablet into the central hub for everything mobile, thus simplifying things for your typical road warrior. I'm willing to bet that this sort of trend will start to take off in the near future, especially when you see companies experimenting with convergence devices such as the Note, the MeMO, the Padfone, etc. Basically, I think that bluetooth-only companion phones could soon open up an entirely new market for pairing up with tablets of any kind.
When i said over the top i meant it in a good way , i havent had any complaints regarding sound quality so for now i am satisfied with it..
The bluetooth companion phone makes total sense.. I use phoneleash to receive and send sms from my main lines number and get various notifications from my Galaxy Nexus on my p6800. My battery on my Galaxy Nexus can now go for almost 2 days as i touch it much less now.. So your definately on to something Jayed Eyed Wolf.. I still use my 10.1 around the house (especially in the kitchen while cooking), but the screen looks like a pile of garbage compared to the 7.7. And I used to think the screen on the 10.1 was really great! I suppose in a year or so the next great thing will make the 7.7 look like a faded CRT.

Nope it won't look like a faded CRT.
Think of it as an McLaren F1 supercar which is now 20 years+ old,
but doesn't look faded or dated at all.
Simply because you can only get slightly better when you've reached such quality.

Nice vid!
Do you leave it paired all the time in case of incoming calls? or do you just pair at the time of a call?
What's the toll on battery (both handset and tablet) with the first option?
Is the 2nd method (ad-hoc pairing) a practical method? (as in does the pairing take a long time?)
Thanks!

Me neither, on a Blueant Q2.
Really keen to see if anyone has managed to get voice dialing working on any bluetooth headset of any brand.
Spoke to Samsung support here in Oz, but they were bloody useless. Indicated that they couldn't/wouldn't help as I wasn't using a Samsung headset. They said all Samsung headsets would work, but that doesn't appear to be the case from your experience with the HM5000
AFAIK, currently no version of Android supports voice dialing via Bluetooth.
When I play music off the speaker on the evo 4g lte, its so quiet even at max volume. I came from the Galaxy S2, to this phone and the speaker is the only disappointing thing on this phone, I wish it was louder, is there any hot fix for it?

DSP Manager might work better for you. Be careful - don't want to blow that tiny thing
Use QPST to increase the volume - this requires that you know ur MSL.
MSL Reader is free on Google Play (requires root!) and how to configure/use QPST can be found by searching XDA.

1. This guide will tell you how to get the drivers to work (Windows XP/7).

2. This is the version of QPST I used to make changes to my phone (I couldn't get any other version to work with Windows 7 x64 so I searched around and found this version, which worked for me).

Even with tweaks the speaker on the LTE is not ideal, I'm guessing that's likely because they were trying to save room when creating the design. I was honestly debating looking up the speaker online and seeing if I could find a better one to replace it with...though this isn't ideal for most people (including myself), I'm still really tempted to do so.

I agree with you but I thought I would throw it out there just on the off-chance it does actually work for some.
How about trying the loudspeaker of motorola photon? It has one of the loudest speaker , and i ve seen it the part is thinner than the evo 4g speaker
The photon speaker also very cheap only $4 online
The problem is how to attach it to our phone ?
I will try this out thank you, even if its just a little louder, I can deal I can't even hear my music in the shower anymore

Get a mophie or some other wireless charging/extra battery case for it.. it'll obviously definitely add to the size/weight of the phone tho over a standard case.. I wouldn't get the cheap chinese one's off ebay tho, horrible things that don't last long at all.

Yeah ive tried 2-3 different Chinese ones, although admittingly they were for my iPhone and not the HTC one. They were great for the first month or two and then and then they all started having issues. 1 would fail to charge ever again regardless of charger, another failed to hold a charge for longer than ~4hrs, another would constantly cycle charging on/off while switched on and trying trying to charge the phone. Just had a bad experience overall and waiting a month+ for RMA is a bit much. Much better to get a legit one for these reasons at a place where you can RMA in your own country if you ever need it.
