Hi,
I would like to try out the Citrix Receiver for my Tattoo, but I can't find it in the Market! A friend of mine owning the Hero, has the application when searching from his device!! The Citrix app should work according the developers, for 1.5 and higher.
Any suggestions???
Regards
Citrix Receiver
I found this in their website. I have installed, but still can't get a connection. Maybe you have a beter luck than my.
You maybe can't find it because it tattoo is a qvga device. You can patch the market so it thinks that you have a bigger screen.

Hey everyone,
I got a Redfly and it is pretty cool on most applications, even over bluetooth stuff runs good. The problem comes when I try to run Garmin XT or Tom Tom I get errors saying the program will not support the resolution, but Yahoo Maps works great. I guess I was surprised that the individual programs handle video res and not the OS. Anyone know how I can fix it ????
Cool, never heard of it until now.
The applications do detect the resolution so they can use the proper skin... The apps adjust and use the appropriate skin images for portrait and landscape.. also there are the square screen smart phones. On my dell Axim x50v I have trouble with some applications because they do not support VGA. So this is expected.
Did you search the knowledgebase on their site?
I would assume that the redfly would be capable of running in a magnified version of the native res for compatibility.. if not, you will have many applications that will have problems.
I got a chuckle out of this message on their site.
"Please read all the safety information in this guide before using the REDFLY to avoid injury."
There is no video capability. Program compatibility is hit or miss. No drivers for the Diamond yet.
Anyone know where in Garmin Mobile XT the video driver is ?
Maybe if I knew which file controlled that I could make it work ??
First off, I'm sorry if this isn't the right section, I didn't know of any other places to post it.
Guys, I'm really loving boxee. I recently ordered the equipment for connecting my PC to my TV, only thing I need now is a Boxee remote (Should have thought of that before I orderd the stuff, right?)
Well, windows mobile is about one of the only major operating systems without a app for windows mobile.
If I'm seeing correctly, and hearing from some of the developers that work with boxee (Not staff, but community) it doesn't seem very hard.
BTW, Boxee is a media center, based off of XMBC. It's really cool, I suggest you guys check it out.
http://www.boxee.tv/
This is the boxee remote api; http://developer.boxee.tv/Remote_Control_Interface
and I found this cool boxee remote gui that you guys can use if you don't want to design one yourselves. http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=13329
There are some web versions of the application, but they aren't that smooth, I think a dedicated application will be great.
I don't know much that I can explain, but if you guys have any questions, you can ask (PM) me.
Is there a cab to install veetle on htc hd2?
I can get onto the website but need veetle installed to watch.
Veetle is the best stream site i have found. Quality is great.
I hope there is an app somewhere.
Cheers
has anyone been able to successfully run droid tv on the archos 101? and if so how? that was one of the reasons i bought the tablet to watch videos on it which didnt work at first but thanks to the forums i was able to fix this. i am new to the forum so please correct me if i make any mistakes. thank you
I didnt know this app,so i googled and find out that this app is for streaming series...
What is the bug in the app?
You can also try Tv Shows Stream, its a very good app for streaming with aaaaaaall series
_________
Dont forget to klick thanks
Just looked up DroidTV on the MArket. Sounds like an amazing app, but it lists Archos tablets as not appropriate. Thats a shame as it would have looked great on such a big screen ....

Yap Tv Show Stream is quite nice, you can see all series but the disadvantage is that not all movies are in there (maybe because that app is quite new)
You can find it in the market or here

To get the full version you have to buy it or search it in "expecially Sites"
I hope i could help you
I don't have an Archos but I have a Galaxy 10.1, Asus Transformer, and a Galaxy S phone. I have been trying to figure out how to strap the 10.1 to a headrest and remotely play movies for my son in the back seat and I'm hoping the Archos software would be the key.
Has anyone ripped the Remote Control Server APK from this rom to be used in other tablets/phones. The controller is on the market but the server side is not
Or if someone knows a way to do this that would be great. (Note: DLNA is nice but its a full PUSH and what I want to do is control the media already on the tablet, or use the Sprint 3g on the 10.1 to stream netflix.
I have tried Server VNC for droid, and it breaks on tablets.
Thanks for all your help!
Maybe someone with an Archos and another Android device can analyze what is sended by the other device to the Archos (Wireshark for example)

I am fairly sure this is not an APK, as sin not a simple app. it is a service baked into the system code of the ROM. This kinda of app is not overtly simple to add to android even IF you had all the source to the ROM, which no one does for HC yet.
The only problem is to know what is said on the network. After that, creating the app to communicate with it is "easy".
Am i to understand that you want to stream video to Archos from your Asus/Samsung ?
No, he wants to control his expensive Samsung 101 via a remote.
Something that comes included with any cheap Archos Gen8 ;-)
Expensive
Yes, its more expensive then the Archos but its 3g via Sprint. So I can stream, check email, watch IP cameras for restaurants that I am responsible for. But when traveling with the kids its nice to put in a headrest strap and control it.
Right now my son who is 3 will either tap the screen and freak out because the movie stopped playing, or if he is holding it he ends up stuck in some app. This will allow my wife or myself to start other movies, netflix streams, etc..
Headrest monitors for cars are not cheap (unless you get some really poor generic ones) and once the kids hit 5 years old they will not want to watch a linear movie, they would want to watch and interact with the web. (Humm or maybe I'm the biggest kid in the equation )
Right now I can DLNA push a video to the tablet using BubblePNP (Works great) but its annoying when my phone wifi sleeps or phone calls seem to mess with the connection. Remote control will keep each device truly separate. How many times I have walked out of the car to get gas out of range of the DLNA sharing is annoying.
Here you go...
I Hope this is what you are looking for...
Ripped out...Have Fun!
He doesn't need the remote, he needs the receiver for the Samsung.
I saw the words "remote" and "software" in the OP.
Yes, but he's searching the server side of the remote software ^^
Looks like the best way to get the Archos remote server app is to unpack Archo's firmware and take the server app out.
I found some linux tools that can do this, e.g. using aos-tools
However, my linux skill is only novice level at best, so I don't think I can unpack it successfully and find the remote server app.
Anyone happy to give it a try and share the file?
I see the instructions to unpack can be found here: http://archos.g3nius.org/index.php?title=The_aos-tools_Toolchain
I was looking for such app and Archos seems to the the only company which have a Android remote app right now... I am interested to install the remote server app on my Android phone or tablet and see if it works.
for control the tablet from an android phone you can use DroidMote Server / Client in the android market.
