guys im really sorry if this has been asked amillion times before but i have read a lot of posts here and i still dont fully understand what i need to do....
i got a G4 o2 XDA mini S, i have established that now could somebody please put in plain english (i mean n00b langauge so i can understand) exactly what i need to do.
or provide me with an up to date link on a working tut and possibly a link for i think windows mobile 6 crossbow edition.......jeez i probably sound like a complete tool.
really hope someone can help me as id love to give WM6 a whirl

ok I have reflashed my wizard 4 times tonight. I have tried the newest TNT rom, Hornet 5 and Touch HD. On flashing TNT and Hornet, it says that the updater is not new enough and leaves my wizard in the 3color bar state. I also have been unable to connect to my home wifi network through my wizard, through either the love rom, or the touch hd. anyone have suggestions?

but you have to read HOW TO UNLOCK, HOW TO FLASH and thats it, once you read you wll be able to unlock/flash
be sure to know if you have a G3 or G4 device, always have a fully charged battery to unlock, flash etc.
Better to use a xp based PC, use the lastest activesync, have a USB cable in good conditions, never ever touch the screen/cable in the unlock/flash, do not run another programs while unlock/flash.
Ok those are just some advices, all you migth need is in the forum..

guys as i wrote in the wm6 upgrade guide.....which all of the ppl seem to not read for some reason...i need help...i have wm5 right now, but i am sorta tired of it so i decided to change to PV_4.0.0.0.6_Touch. now the problem is tht i dun know anything about upgrading...so can any 1 halp me...how to create an external rom? also in the new method where does the upgrade.bat go?? cse over there we only have to take the os.nb and combine it to he .nbf file....also if i decide to change back..(or if anything goes wrong to)the windows mobile 5 original rom where can i get it from?...plzz hepl i am a NEWBIE...so help from u ppl would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

Dear dioxda2..I hope you forgive me for answering instead of you...Dear Ronn13...I'm currently using this Rom...I should say that:yes, you definitely have to use the old method...This ROM is great and almost without bug (almost ).Hope you do it successfully.

To be safe, perform Step1 anyway. It is the only way to get a predictable state on your Prophet before flashing. As there are almost no "pure" official ROM's, every vendor branded it to their ow liking, it is hard to tell if your WM5 isn't going to obstruct an update (afterall, we are hacking this stuff).

By flashing RUS rom using gold card all goes right, by finishing and rebooting it says that rom not desighned for this region.
I've tried to disassemble russian rom in QMAT and assemble it with OS only without radio and spl, and it hangs on "loading" in bootloader... I understand, that firmware must be original shipped, or sighned by Htc, otherwise, it wont flash via gold card. Maybe another way to do it? I've found firmware that contains OS only, named "IOLITE_WWE2RUS_HTC__032_signed.nbh" it flashes via gold card and flashing and works, but i seriously doubt, that Htc done this version. You wrote that Rom must be patched to remove region lock. How to do it? Sorry for bad English...

To my knowledge,QMTA will temporarly make your device super CID to let you flash another ROM, but you still have to modifiy the shipped ROM by using NBHutil to take the shipped ROM apart and rebuild it.
Once you have an RUU_singed.nbh built by NBHutil, then, and only then you can flash without problems usinng the Iolite special RUU found in the Iolite forum.
correct, so only HSPL will help. I also have my own program to make the regionid patch.

Greetings. First of all, I'd just like to say I have the utmost respect for cookers, since they develop their applications and programs on their own time. I can relate to that. Everyone is good at something and takes pleasure in doing it. And I also appreciate forums such as XDA-Developers, that are based on one helping the next out.
But... It's just not cool to leave us drooling over something for 2 times in a row:
1 - like saying "will get around to releasing HSPL soon" and then not hearing word from for 2 months;
2 - Saying that it is done and you're just going out to lunch and then you're gonna upload it, then a week passing and no word from, yet again.
I can understand that unexpected things can happen and you might not be able to do the Hard-SPL, but at least let us know that it won't happen, so we can go ahead and sell our Iolites and buy some other HTC that has Hard-SPL available. Just let us know once and for all if we should abandon all hope.

The reason why nobody may have helped you is because you couldnt be bothered to help yourself.
There is plenty of information and guides on this if you take 2 minutes to look. All you need to do is boot into tricolor bootloader and flash stock windows mobile, tahts it. If you have been installing magldr/wp7 you should know how to do this.
You have purposely posted in the incorrect section, this is not for newbie support questions this is for posting ROM developments.

i already resetted it to factory settings with no help. i didnt back it up with nandroid.
can someone please give my some roms for the lg doubleplay and instructions on how to pleasEEE

I don't know about anyone else, but I stopped reading after this part. I didn't even get to the problem. Remember, you messed up your phone. You need others to assist you. Complaining that other people aren't helping you fix your mistake fast enough isn't going to encourage many people to want to try harder to help you.
Edit: I peaked at teh rest of your post. I think it's a fairly simple fix. But I'm not going to respond to your demanding post that is so overtly negative about this community that has helped so many.
If you reask the question nicely I'll be more than happy to try and assist you.

Well I didn't read your post as thoroughly as I should have before saying I thought I had the correct answer.
I missed where you said you were using an LG Doubleplay. This forum is for the HTC Sensation. These are VERY different devices. What would work for the Sensation may not work for an LG device. I don't want to give you bad information.
You are much better off asking your question in the Doubleplay forums where users familiar with the device will be able to assist you.

Firstly if you try to flash a wrong rom...you risk bricking...specially without backup.. find sensation roms by googling htcsensationroms
The rom you have mentioned is NOT a sensation rom
Dont open the rom you downloaded, connect the phone to ur pc and copy the rom to sd card
Also you need to speciify if you are S-On or S-Off.....
Provide more info abt ur situation (android version, recovery, S-On/Off) ...ill try to help
AND there are some really good devs on these fora...professionals(ask Skipjacks nicely, you should have your problem solved)....but you are going to have to ask NICELY....I'm preety much a noob but can handle rooting a etc
