First of all IMHO they have to be considered BETA, AP4 and IRUS are final Beta, and AP5 is a "Technical Preview" .
I've tested at 192 and 128 DPI and I use the ATHENA as "second" phone, mainly as "mobile computer". I am very happy with my DASH latest 6.1 ROM as empowered PHONE
Ultra Lite (Taxist)
Great rom, fast, stable. SPL 3.5
CONS
1) No quickgps
2) No subdisplay
3) No powerpoint
and some other small things
Fix needed: .NET fix (check thread)
Application /Utility Changed
File explorer.... resco file (needs registration)
Images browsing.... resco image (needs registration)
Media Player.... Coreplayer
Start menu.... Quickmenu
Task manager.... Wisbar Lite
SIP..... Vgakey
Comm Manger.... WM6.1 standard
I've added:
HTC home all DPI
Schaps Advanced Config
Xnview (image editor)
Tom Tom
Memmaid
My registred Resco File Manager
Opera 9 Diamond
PocketRAR
PocketCM
.NET fix (check thread)
PRO
1) First time with ozVGA, no problems with my commonly used application, more controls than realvga, no 128 DPI
2) Fastest rom ever seen for ATHENA, lot of storage and memory, a ROM for Professional User!
AP4:
CONS
1) Needs a "special SPL" (3.5), fully contained in the setup file
2) Slow, something to fix, read the thread and AP4 WIKI.
3) Low in Free RAM and resources
4) No way (till now, cmonex is working) to flash back to the HTC original ROM or AP2. AP3 special edition or IRUS SPL 3.5 are the only alternate rom available if you have SPL 3.5
PRO
WM6.1, a very fresh build
Vueflo, the accelerometer turns the screen portrait/landscape just rotating it
Many utilities
IRUS 6.1
CONS
1) opening contacts in 128 DPI you have a blank page, the same bug is in the AP5 beta
2) Older WM6.1 build
3) Needs "tuning": missing HSDPA Icon, date/time in the upper bar too big, powersave disabled for connections, windows media has to be started at 192 DPI, unchecked the option "start in library" and apply ATHENA PRoject windows media player fix, to have it working in all resolutions.
The easiest way to solve many registry fix is is to install schaps advanced config
4) small keyboard
PRO
FAST, faster than AP4, very "responsive", more free memory and system resources,
Doesn't need "special SPL", easy to flashback to the HTC original ROM
There are FULL, LITE, and VANILLA releases
AP5:
It isn't a REAL beta, many things aren't working, Pawel will fix, but in this stage is just a technical preview, slow and buggy, nice DIAMOND graphic.
Promishing... No evaluation
I AM USING...
IRUS LITE, (I don't need many of the full preinstalled appz) plus

I agree with you. I prefer stability of IRUS -vanilla in my case- but the bluetooth consumption (I have a mbw-150) is a problem.
Irus, could you have a look on this issue? I am not experencied and surely will say an stupid thing, but looks your bluetooth check more often the connection that ap5, and this could justify the high consume.
On the other side this bluetooth conection has more quality with your rom that ap5.
Nice job, irus!!!

sergiopi,
Thanks for a great preview, this helps a newbie like i am a lot.
Thanks again!
I think it is good to have comparisons such as this, it gives people an idea of things they can expect from the various roms available.
Cheers

Thanks, updated first post with Ultra Lite comments...
Sergiopi,
Good overview. I use my Athena to work from on the road for days at a time, so it sounds like Ultralight might be the way for me (currently still on AP3 waiting for the dust to settle on the 6.1 ROMs).
Have you tried Softmaker or Fring with Ultralight please?
Iscajames
Sergiopi,
This comparison table is very useful...thanks.
I have also just installed Ultra Lite and can say that while I have only been using it for a day I am very impressed. As you say it seems great for the power user. The speed is phenomenal and stability so far seems good. Program compatibility seems great...all the programs that I use seem to work perfectly.

No, but before checking any sw compatibility, install the .NET fix from the ultra lite thread
Resco explorer or Total Commandar is needed because some rom files have to be replaced. If you try to copy from activesync you will have "error copying file" because the ROM files are write protected
Download total commander, freeware, form here http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
This is Yota Contacts, an application lifted off the HTC Quartz (MAX 4G) which is WiMax device on russian operator, Yota's network.
It was initially in russian and a different resolution, but a team of great people (AllTheWay, CloudyFa, fhiesh, Yozi and last, but not least myself) helped traslate it English and 10 other lanaguages.
This first post is for the english version, for VGA devices only. CAB's for QVGA and WVGA devices, can be found three posts down.
Please read the information below before you install any of the cabs in this thread and PLEASE search before you post questions.
Benefits:
- Yota Contacts completely replaces the built in windows Contacts application.
- New dialer that's much faster then the built in dialer.
- Favorites groups
- Better onscreen keyboard\
- Much more, which I'm sure you'll find once you install it and play around...
Minuses:
- Will NOT read your SIM contacts. You would have to copy them to the phone memory if you want to use Yota Contacts.
- No easy VoiceMail access (holding down 1 doesn't work). The "New Voicemail" link on TF3D's homescreen also doesn't work.
- No "face down mute" feature.
- No "bluetooth on/off switch" while in a call.
- No "Slide to Answer".
- No "Company Directory" lookup if you're hooked up to a company Exchange server.
- This app doesn't display special characters in the contact names.
- S2U2's caller ID functions HAVE to be disabled if you have the Yota Dialer also installed. (S2U2 conflicts with the Yota Dialer)
- If you have a password lock on the phone, it will impede your ability to answer the phone quickly, because you will have to input the password before you can hit "Answer" on the screen.
- No video calling or "Videoshare" (yet)
Most of the minuses listed above can be avoided by simply installing the Yota Contacts application ONLY. You will find cabs for that at the end of this post.
Please keep in mind that none of the people involved in translating this application, actually developed it. This application came from the HTC Quartz, which is a WiMax phone operating on the Yota network in Russia. Therefore, any requests you might have, to add this or that, CAN NOT, and I can't stress this enough, CAN NOT, even be considered. The reason ? We don't have the source code for the applications included in this package. All we can do is make graphical skin changes or translations to other languages... to a point. Also, the keyboard can't be extracted either, it's an integral part of YotaContacts.exe.
One more thing to remember is this app takes up quite a bit of RAM (about 9 megs for the full version and about 4-5 for the Yota Contacts only version), which on a Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch HD, etc is not really an issue, since we have plenty of RAM. On a QVGA device, you should consider this before installing it, ESPECIALLY if you only have 64 Megs of RAM to start with.
The application takes a few seconds (at least) to start the first time you use it after you turn the phone on. It's recommended to keep it running in the background after first use, instead of closing it down. You can easily setup an "exception" in HTC's task manager for it.
The cabs don't modify any of the softkeys on the Today screen, but if you would like a link anyway, you can download a cab from the second post to do that.
Now, on to the good stuff.
-----------------------------------
The following three cabs contain the Yota Contacts and the Yota Dialer application. They both take over the Contacts and Dialer function of your operating system. You HAVE to reboot after install these cabs, even if the installation wizard doesn't prompt you to.
Base VGA version + Dialer >
MobileMatt Mirror
TF3D skin version + Dialer(shown in the last screenshot) >
MobileMatt Mirror
Skin1 skin version + Dialer(shown in the next to last two screenshots) >
MobileMatt Mirror
The following cabs contain ONLY the Yota Contacts application, the Yota Dialer has been left out. These cabs also work with CDMA devices (Alltel, Telus, Sprint, Verizon, etc...)
Base VGA: Download
TF3D VGA(shown in the last screenshot): Download
Skin1 version(shown in the next to last two screenshots): Download
This post reserved for extras for ANY version
If you would like to assign either the Left of the Right softkey on your TF3D Today screen to Yota Contacts, please download and install one of the cabs below (the names should be self explanatory).
The other cabs, change the language of the Yota Contacts application to the language code in the cab's name. So look for your country's language code and download the appropriate cab, install and reboot. This does NOT change the language of the dialer. There aren't that many translations available for the dialer, yet.
More translations available three posts down
This post reserved for cabs and screenshots of the QVGA version.
Base skin + Dialer QVGA version: Download
Base skin CONTACTS ONLY: Download
If your Today screen has a shortcut to "Phone" and you get an error trying to open "cprog.exe", edit that shortcut to point to "dprog.exe" and you should be fine.
This post reserved for the WVGA version.

Great work, waiting for QVGA version to test on my Kaiser.
Thanks for sharing.
THANKs .

Sim Card Contacts
I would just like to get this clear with myself and maybe any other GSM members does this contacts app support Sim contacts?
No, it doesn't
After installed with QVGA version....
Nice looking
and bugs
I would try to fix that for you, but unfortunately I'm not the original author of the QVGA cabs and I can't test on my phone to try and fix the problem. If anybody wants to take a crack at it, you can edit USSDskin.zip in the cab to adjust it down to QVGA size

I've had this installed on my Xperia for a while now and although I love it, I suspect it's extremely power hungry. My battery drains in under 1 day now as opposed to ~3 before I used yota.
Anyone else experience this?
Hey all,
first of all I would like to say that I really like this app.
I have one big issue.
After installing the app my connection with my Parrot CK3100 goes crazy.
When connect to my phone there is already a call been made???
My contacts aren't sync anymore.
I use a HTC Touch Pro.
What is wrong, or what do I wrong?
Who can help me, I would realy love to use this app.
I use HTC HD but nothing works, does not load the phone numbers in your address book.
I use the VGA version.
The log can not display even call calls
Works fine on my Touch HD. Your contact's probably don't show up because they're on your SIM card. This app can only read contacts that are in your phone memory.

ussd skin for qvga
For fix the USSD services screen just put this zip file in Windows/skins folder.
Another request: Anyone know how fix the incoming call picture? It is in VGA size.
Thanks

How to Flash this ROM
If you don't know what is HardSPL, STOP! You need to read this before you continue. This ROM is only for GSM devices. For CDMA ROMs, look here.
I release my ROM in flashable microSD format, mainly because:
To prevent newbies just running an .exe file without knowing what it is
Less space in the compress release
microSD flashing is the SAFEST way to flash.
Can't wait? on to flashing!
What You Need
Zip or 7zip extractor for the compress file. You can download 7zip here
USB cable if flashing from ActiveSync
CustomRUU Wrapper (download it here) if flashing from ActiveSync
microSD formatted to FAT32 if flashing via (micro)SD method
Flashing via ActiveSync
- Make sure your battery level is above 50%, or the flash will not continue!
- BACKUP ALL THE CONTACTS/FILES YOU NEED!
extract RAPHIMG.NBH from the compressed file, rename it to RUU_Signed.nbh
put the RUU_Signed.nbh on the location where you've put the CustomRUU Wrapper.
Connect your Touch Pro/Fuze to your PC via USB cable.
ActiveSync should run and connect your device. Wait for the icon to turn GREEN.
Run the Custom RUU Wrapper and follow the steps on the screen
Flashing via (micro)SD Method
- Make sure your microSD card is formatted to FAT32, or else your Touch Pro/Fuze won't detect the file.
- at least have around 40% of battery. I've done it with 23%, but just to be safe, make sure you have enough juice left
- BACKUP ALL THE CONTACTS/FILES YOU NEED!
extract RAPHIMG.NBH from the compressed file and put it to your SD
Do a HARD RESET
with your stylus, press the RESET button while holding down the VOLUMN DOWN button and ENTER button. It should go to diagnostics (rainbow screen) mode.
release the RESET button, but continue holding the VOLUMN DOWN and ENTER button until you see "This operation will delete all your personal data..."
press VOLUME UP button to hard reset.
while resetting, press VOLUMN DOWN button to go back to diagnostics (rainbow screen) mode.
if done correctly and your microSD is formatted to FAT32, it should say "Loading..." or else you will just see the rainbow screen.
Press POWER button to flash your ROM and wait for it to finish. DO NOT REMOVE YOUR BATTERY!
When the flash finishes, press the RESET button. DONE!
UC Ready ROM
- this ROM is UC ready. What is UC? Check it here.
- NOTE TO NAVIGON USERS: If you are using your Navigon SD to flash and setup UC, you need to rename the 2577 directory first otherwise UC will not work correctly (thanks urys)
For AT&T Fuze Users
- screwed hardware keyboard? Download the fix below (see post attachment) or download it here
- to setup your connection problems:
Download AllTheWay's AT&T Settings Cab from here (Thanks AllTheWay)
On Start->Settings->Tab "Connections"->Connections->Manage Existing Connections->Tab "Proxy Settings", uncheck "This network uses a proxy server to connect to internet"
On Start->Settings->Tab "Connections"->Connections->Tab "Advanced"->Select Network, change both pulldowns to "Media Net" (Thanks Reefermattness)
If you still have some problems (weather in TouchFlo3d not updating), try this (thanks AlienHairball):
On Start->Settings->Tab "Connections"->Connections->Tab "Advanced"->Select Network, change both pulldowns to "My ISP"
if you edit "My ISP" make sure it's on "Auto" instead instead of either "My ISP GPRS" or "ATT GPRS"
On Start->Settings->Tab "Connections"->Advanced Network->Tab "HSDPA/HSUPA"->make sure that "Enable HSDPA/HSUPA" is set

PRIVATE BETA for the moment. I want to hear first from the users of my ROM before (you know who you are and I know who you are, send me the pm for the link!).
Let's keep this thread clean and learn from mcmexican's post.
Canadian users, I've removed the rilphone mod for a while, sorry. I need to know if it will work with this one (reg entries not enabled yet). If not, then I'll cook it in again if there are no difference in call quality.
PRIVATE BETA 2 Link : MediaFire. Same password as BETA 1. Changes from BETA 1 are:
Changed Opera to a new build (15545) as the other one has a duplicate launch bug
Added zoom in Opera from g2tl
changed GPS settings and drivers
changed video drivers
changed some service loading timings
removed Butler
(I forgot) removed YouTube link in Internet Tab
This will be the release (plus cleaning of Windows, still lots of files to remove) for 4.00. I'm still considering releasing a loaded ROM, what's in my head right now is:
dotFred's Task Manager
Butler or dredSensor
Music ID
PIM BackUp
Diamond Tweak or Config
MortPlayer
Adobe Acrobat
wMRegOptimizer
still considering:
Worldcard Mobile
RSS Hub
Sprite Backup
What do you guys think?

Hi sabre, good to see you cook a new rom again.
A question: is it based on the new 'official' htc rom floating around here?,if yes,do you have also that bug from youtube app?
When i am trying lower the volume it does not work, with and without headphone
It stays on high volume .
And if you need a tester i am willing to help if you can use that (i am rom flash addict)
no pointless posts in this thread.

I can't tell you since I didn't cook the YouTube app from the latest Raph ROM yet, I need to modify it again to clean the installation from \Windows.
For the testers Butler is modified and cooked in this ROM thanks to siggie1970. Currently swipe launcher is the only one enabled (swipe up and down on the left and right side of the capacitor sensor and you'll know). I'll be updating the Butler source code and put it on the next BETA build. Check out HKLM\Software\Butler for more settings
EDIT: and I'm only planning to implement the app launcher and the sip changer from Butler-- the face down lock I would imagine a lot of people would be annoyed (example is when reading in your bed)
i use to be a big tester over in the kaiser community til my usb port stopped working, and as of 2 weeks ago i've been a happy fuze owner, i'm willing to test this rom.
RZA still makes some of the dopest beats!
-Anyways, the ROM passes my utterly useless test of GBA emulation--good framerate, no irrecoverable crash after a soft-reset (triggered when kfortouchpro isn't set to default).
-YouTube works fine, although HTC really needs to release some significant updates so the videos don't play at 10fps.
-Email and SMS work well without any noticeable bugs (i.e. nothing weird happened so far).
-Fixed Opera is a bit of problem. It has to do with the build, rather than your ROM. When launched from tf3d, it opens up with 2 tabs, whereas buttler-launch would have one tab. It lacks the zoom slider, which can be enabled with a reg tweak (but I forgot what it was). I personally like the transparent skin that someone implemented for 15202, so maybe if you could look into that, that'd be great. If I get a chance to, I'll test the skin.zip on the new version.
-Butler is great, but I found myself accidentally launching apps too often. You should try dredsensor, which does a lot of interest things. With dredsensor, I'm able to use PIE and Opera Mini in full screen mode by assigning the home and back buttons as left and right softkey. I also set long-clicks to launch stuff, which means I rarely (never, so far) launch anything accidentally.
All that is without my customizations (sdconfig.txt). So I'll report further if I see any incompatibility problems with the apps I use.
[Edit]
SDAutorun.exe doesn't initiate automatically.
[Edit 2]
I solved the Opera problem. Apply the provxml and use the skin included. Too lazy to make a cab file
So far...
-seems faster to restart and boot up
-after quick gps, Gpstest took approx 1 min to get a 3D lock
-TomTom nav 7 lags approx 1 to 2 seconds approx 50% of the time, but is dead on accurate the other 50%
-Only had one small instance where I was typing a new sms and it booted me out of it and into the inbox (where it then brings up the quick menu instructions) and it put the message I was typing in in 'drafts'
-I like having Butler integrated! Never used it before and if it was installed in 3.01 I didn't realize it.
-I prefer the black dialer
I like it so far...seems faster overall. I flashed from sd card. Using quartz radio. I'll report back after more testing.
Thanks pfcsabre

Did not experience any bugs, all apps functioned properly, a few things I noticed.
yota dialer was unresponsive to a phone button press on the stock ROM5.05.405.1 (periodically dialer would not load if phone button was pressed), on this ROM it functions fine.
You went to the small ezinput, I couldn't get the ST keyboard installed (it would install but bottom half of the keyboard graphics would be messed up). This occurs on pretty much every rom with the smaller ezinput (at least that I have tried), any chance you would go back to large ezinput?
v4.00 PRIVATE BETA
Hi, nice to see you back again!
Running the v4.0 for about 5 houres and it seems very stable. Noticed the following:
- SDConfig does not initiate autonatically
- Video drivers seem to be slower than v 3.01. Used the coreplayer in both of them and the Benchmark that includes gives 159.72% for V4.0 and 185.44 for v 3.01.
Still testing!
seems 5.05 graphics drivers are not up to it... thanks gikoz
let me try the opera fix g2tl-- I initially tought the problem was from the new manila as launching opera via Butler is working fine. And, you can set the sensitivity of Butler so you won't be launching apps too often
The black skin will be on the final release, I'm just lazy to put it right now.
EzInput will be the small one as I checked most keyboard cab that is available is working on this release. EzInput and XT9 will be cleaned again to WWE for the final release.
Anything else? I'll cook the fix and put the link of the next build if it's ok.

I was pretty sure the multi-tab bug was fixed, but after a few resets and installs, it's back
At least the zoom slider is there, and the buttons are half-transparent
Btw, I'm pretty sure it's not the newer manila that causes this, as 15202 doesn't have that issue.
Unless you come out with some major fixes, I'll probably stay with this beta.
Oh, one thing I did have problem with is sprite backup. I had to disable tf3d for the backup process to go through. Even so, the devices freezes on the reset after the backup. Another reset solves the problem though. Oddly enough, I've had this problem with a customized PROven 1.14a as well, so it may have more to do with one of the apps I installed than your ROM.
[Edit 2]
Uh, is it just me, or is the phone lock curtain missing?

yup it's missing in 5.05 Raphael-- I'll put up the other version that I have with the dlls from 5.05.
Still thinking what more to change-- I'm trying to port the multiple appointments from HD.

That'd be awesome.
What'd be more awesome is if you could port the weather tab
But one thing at a time, I guess.

A BSD licensed application for Windows Mobile for calculating various medical scores and equations. Easily extensible by editing the enclosed xml file (so can be modified on the device too) and designed for use with finger touch rather than needing the stylus.
Requires .NET CF 2.0. Tested on VGA Touch Pro WM6.1 (I don't have any other devices to test on). Also works in windows with .NET 2.0.
Downloadable here. Simply put the two files (MedicalCalculator.exe and calcs.xml) in the same directory and run. Source is available on the googlecode site. See calcs.xml for examples of writing new equations. Could also be used to work out scores and equations in fields outside of medicine.
Bug reports much appreciated!
Regards,
John.
any screen shot??
so can this app works for QVGA??
okok, I'll try my self
It works in the emulator for wm6.5 in qvga, vga and wvga portrait/landscape, although obviously i cannot guarantee compatibility with every device on the basis of that. The most significant issue to check would be whether the font size is readable and also of sufficient size to be selected with a finger and also to fit the most important information in the screen.
Unfortunately i cannot seem to work out how to get screenshots from the emulator as printscreen somehow doesn't work.
Regards,
John.
will give this a try but what equations/scores does it have?
Currently the list of supported equations is quite short being limited to the ones I use regularly:
- creatinine clearance (Cockcroft-Gault)
- BMI
- Maddrey discriminant function
- Child-Pugh score
- Well's DVT and PE scores
- TIMI score
More will be added on an as required basis.
See calcs.xml for an up-to-date list.
edit: version 0.1.1 uploaded with some minor improvements, particularly now packaged in a cab file for easier installation.
Regards,
John
[Intro]
After much demand for a VGA version, I finally got around to making this. I have tried to maintain the slick look of the WVGA app in this dwarfed version.
You can use mConvert to convert in the following categories:
Area
Length
Power
Temperature
Velocity
Computers
Force
Frequency
Volume
Weight
Acceleration
Cooking
Energy
Pressure
Torque
This is a powerful converter app, able to rival many of the other converters on the market. And best of all? It's FREE!! Donations are however kindly accepted (on FreewarePocketPC site).
I have tried to make the UI as attractive as possible, as this makes or breaks an app in my opinion. Hope you like it.
I decided to make the app free as nobody likes paying for this stuff, including myself. The aim of mConvert was not only to make an effective converter for mobiles, but to also showcase the potential Windows Mobile has.
For the WVGA version, visit:

[System Requirements]
Windows Mobile (Tested on 6.5)
Windows .NET Framework 3.5

Enjoy!
