I am about to get my Tilt 2 and I want to protect it. My first question is: should I get a case and a shield for the screen, or just the GadgetSheilds for my phone?
Secondly, my phone is an American AT&T Tilt 2, what cases are there aside from the Praetorian? I would love to have the Seidio case. If this case won't fit on my phone, are there any that look the same that would?
PS: I did look at the rubberized cases thread, but it kind of confused me. Thank you.
I have the Invisashield full body covering, its tricky to get on exacly right but works great, I also keep the phone in a Monaco Aluminum case there real nice, they come with a removable clip, I have the monaco case on my Tilt Tilt2 Samsung epix and my Microsoft Zune. http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-AT-T-TILT-2...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item5ad5b16354
Go for a silicone case!
Don't get a hard rubberised one get a soft silicone. The simple rule is that a sharper material will scratch a weaker one.
My $2 dollar hard rubberized case became slightly loose and scratched my new $1000 TP2 to high hell. And I am one of the most careful people about these things.

I've had them both, and I would recommend Ghost Armor before Zagg Invisashield. That is unless you like a sticky touch screen, a bumpy "orange peel" finish, and a discolored screen.

I purchased a Monaco Aluminum case and I like the way it looks and feels, but I won't use it. There is no way I'm trusting my $350 phone to that friction clasp. I can just see me wearing the phone on my belt and something catching on the clasp, opening the case and dumping the phone out in a parking lot. The clasp just isn't secure enough for me. Wish I had noticed it before I made the purchase.
Are there any silicon cases? I only know of the Praetorian as far as the ATT Tilt 2 goes.
I received a Clairview screen protector and it is labeled Touch 2 on packaging, Touch 2/Tilt 2 on the receipt, but it definitely doesn't fit right. Anyone else have this problem? Is it just a mistake or do they not make one for the ATT TIlt 2? What's the opinion of Clairview elsewise?
Lastly, what is the best full-body screen protector, do they cover the chrome around the edge, and can you notice they are on at all?
Lots of questions, I know, thanks so much for the input thus far.

Agreed. I had the same style case for the original Tilt, and dumped it out a few times because i was walking and it managed to free itself. I use this one on my Tilt 2, but I don't use the belt clip at all. Just goes straight in the pocket. Besides that, the only thing I can complain about it, is how there really isn't much room to touch on the edges of the screen & the sensor at the top to turn off the screen during a phone call is blocked - but nothing a dremel can't fix!
I bought a bodyglove, nice case, adds a little bulk, but no scratching on the device as others have said.

I concur Bodyglove case it's sturdy and well designed. Like he said it hasn't scratch my device. The back cover makes it a thick phone not as thick as having an extended battery with the cover. The screen has a Case-mate protector film it's really good quality. Both my TP2 and it's case are from US Cellular.

Getting my TP2 tomorrow, but really wondering about this...
Seeing pictures of the leather 'case' that comes with the TP2 elsewhere than in the US, is it the same case without belt clip in the T-Mo US TP2?
If it is, I want to be ready when I pick up my phone to get a belt clip equipped case as well.
Yeah man... the US tp2 comes with a gay looking leather case that has no belt clip. It looks like you have a man purse imo
yeah a man purse that slides into your pocket
You guys weren't lying -- that thing is pathetic. I don't know what the heck HTC was thinking when they packaged that.
The T-Mobile guy was also full of crap when he said they had one with a belt clip. Looks like I'll be doing some shopping online.
Thanks for the heads up on that one!
yes the cases htc give are always junk. i like the bodyguardz skin cases simply because the phone is already kinda thick and it does protect the phone. kinda of a pain to put on but after my 4th attempt throughout the years i think i did my best on the touch pro 2.
nko, does the screen protector part feel rubbery and make the touch screen a little less sensitive? I know it is like that with the Zagg on my friend's iPhone.
Got this hard thick rubberized case at the tmo store. It comes with a snap in/out belt clip if wanted. Seems to fit tp2 very well, and leaves accessible all need openings.
I just used the belt clip that came with my Wing. Fits like a glove!
Hand me downs FTW!
i am still using the case my dash came with for my tp2, it fits.
I just bought me a $5 case with belt clip. I just have to cut a hole for the ear jack. I'm not spending $10+ for a case

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna use the belt clip case that came with my Hermes. It's just a little longer but it fits for now.
Has anyone installed a full body screen protector like the bodyguardz ones? I saw this one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370244520409&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
But I bought this for the time being: http://cgi.ebay.com/for-HTC-TOUCH-P...ries?hash=item4399b91c94&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 (from what I've heard, these pop off easily)
This is a very delicate process for me. It's a balance between too bulky and too little protection. I want it to be able to survive it's first dreaded drop without cracking the case. I may just try to use both of them at the same time. When I'm doing physical work, I'll put the rubber case on, and when I'm at the desk, just have it out with the clear protector. I just wonder if you can clip on the rubber housing over the clear protector. The perfect thing for me would be to just have a rubber skin that slides over the whole body of the phone because I don't slide the keyboard out much anyway. That way it could be protected when I'm on the move and I can easily take it off when not.
I also bought one of those generic belt clip holders for $5: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310161485996&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I had one before and their alright. The loops on the back will secure the phone to you if you're moving around but the clip may sag overtime though. I know I'll be replacing it eventually. The HTC OEM cases are much better, but no loops. There's never a perfect solution.
BTW: Does anyone know if the rubber case from the Touch HD will fit?
^^Just ordered one of those this afternoon. Looks similar to one I had before but can't beat $5 and then about $.50 in cashback haha
So I've recently purchased an X10 and I really want to take good care of it.
I've had pretty bad luck when it comes to phones breaking. (monthly)
What I want to do is to get a silicon case (or any sort of body case for the phone)
(along with a screen protector of course)
AND ALSO
get a leather pouch to put that in.
Would an X10 in a body case (ex. silicon case or otter commuter)
fit in an X10 leather pouch (ex MobiMan Premium Leather pouch)
Or would i have to get a larger leather pouch?
The reason I want the leather pouch is because I fear the screen will break.
I don't see any way around this unless there is some sort of indestructible hard plastic screen protector that doesn't interfere with the touch functions.
But if there is i'm totally content in just a case with no pouch.
Advice?

The only silicone case that can fit a leather pouch (at least the one that my phone came with) is the Sigema Procase! I bought this one (in purple color though) and it's by far the best case I ever had (and I've had quite too many, I am kind of addicted ) and it is so slim that the phone fits is the leather pouch just fine.
The case is composed of 2 materials: shock-absorbing soft rubber edge and semi-transparent hard plastic back.
The cut-outs are just perfect (much better than any other case I've tried) and will give you no problem accessing all the phone buttons and USB port.
There is also a durability test video on Youtube, though for the iPhone variant of the case.
I uploaded some pictures for you to see and help you make up your mind!
Not to offend and I may be wrong since this is just a visual assessment but that case doesn't look too safe.
I mean i'm sure I can probably find a leather (hard case) for a larger phone and fit it in there.
But.
Are there any hard screen protectors for the x10?
I know my iPod has a very hard plastic screen protector but it's a classic and not a touch so i don't know wether or not it'd interfere with touch functions.
Well
maybe I don't even need a hard plastic screen protector.
Is there any case for the X10 that just fully protects the body and the screen? (not like a pouch that you put it into when you're not using it)

I do think of myself as "overprotective" when it comes to my gadgets, but you seem to have taken overprotectiveness to a whole new level!!
Let me -try to- reassure you a little.
First of all, X10 is supposed to come with a hard shutterproof sheet preapplied!
So, don't remove that and you won't even need a screen protector at all.
As far as the case is concerned, buy one that feels safe to you and then a fairly large pouch to put your armored phone in!
There is no such thing as a case that also covers the screen, as that would render the phone unusable, due to the capacitative technology of the digitiser.
*sent from my X10i
For what its worth, my case is a black tpu case(they re-badge there as i-skins) and a leather case that was about $8 plus shipping both from ebay. The phone with the tpu case fits snug into the leather belt clip. If you warm it and strech it a little it fits perfect and slides in and out with ease. I don't like the cheap screen protector that came with the tpu case and plan on getting a zagg protector.
Both the tpu case and leather were ordered on ebay.
If you want some pictures I can take some later if you pm me.

I'm looking at an installed Otterbox Defender, and I'm disturbed to see the plastic sheet is cut way too low on the screen, around the earpiece. The shape of the black plastic shell alone is sufficently large enough to clear the sensors/ffc/speaker. There was no need for them to die cut the screen too. This creates a literal pocket for dirt to collect against the screen. Is that how they all are? That's an unforgivable flaw.

What a stunningly foolish design. All the had to do was glue $0.005 worth of thin fabric between the plastic (doesn't matter since the LCD isn't there) and that would protect the entire front, plus the speaker.
I'm thinking of getting some really light fabric, coating it with silicone, and pressing it in place. Shouldn't affect speaker quality, silicone is soft so no chance of glass damage, and it would essentially waterproof (to a degree of course) the entire front.
The commuter screen protector sucks too. It was flawless for the EVO, but doesn't fit the 3d right
It fits my screen just fine.
The only thing that doesn't fit is the top part of the silicone casing. Everything else is super.

Couldn't agree more. I see this as a huge design mistake.
I saw this too, but I really did not think much of it. I guess there is no such thing as a perfect case.

I returned it to Best Buy, and got the Platinum Series - 2-in-1 Covert Convertible Case for HTC (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Platinu...18353391762&skuId=2809635&st=evo 3d&cp=2&lp=3). I haven't decided if I'm keeping it yet though.
When I returned it, I feared getting a hard time since technically it was open (even there are no seals on the box) but as soon as I briefly showed the guy the top of the case, where it's cut too low, he was absolutely shocked and said "that looks like it was designed to collect grit and be suicide for your screen" and happily exchanged it.
And yeah, you can (and should I guess) use a screen protector too, but it's just so silly for a case that was designed to be the toughest, most rugged thing to have such a glaring vulnerability. I'd rather they addressed that, than put time and effort into putting a plug over something else. I'd rather get my 2D/3D switch dirty if it meant they would have focused more effort on the most important thing - the screen. And given how tightly and accurately the plastic case fits, why did they have to make the hole for the proximity/speaker/ffc so sloppy and loose? They could have cut that thing out with submilimeter accuracy, and it would have fit great, since there is no need for wobble-room/slop when that case otherwise fits so perfectly.
The Defender does feel very nice in hand though, very solid, and I loved the silicone they used. Had a wonderful feel, not the usual tacky silicone you see in "gel" cases or whatever you call them.

Yeah, I agree. But for me, the best case I ever had for my Evo4G was the Seidio Surface (or BB rebranded equivalent). My plan was to get an ultrarugged case for those days I'm working outside in the field (haha, literally) and the Surface for regular daily use. So that's why the Convert case sorta fits both bills. But I agree, for someone that needs extreme protection daily, the Convert isn't as good as others like the Defender.

Yeah, I quickly noticed the dust issue there too, but hey, compared to the bubbles that inevitably arise with stick-on screen protectors? I'll take it. I was able to get a swiffer cloth underneath the gap and managed to rid some of the dust that way. The only other option I might consider, if it becomes a real issue later on, is to poke a piece of a feather duster under the protector and gently swab it every so often. FYI- If you use the plastic clip while in your pocket (With the screen facing the backside of the clip), then it won't pick-up that much dust.
Other than the aforementioned, this case is everything I really ever wanted in a protective shell. I love the lens covers, screen protector, double layer of hard/soft protection, and how it fits the device like a glove. I think we can always find an issue with something if we look hard enough, but this thing rocks.

I got this one at Radio Shack and so far I like it. Seems to give the phone a little protection and does not add too much to the phone. It was only about $9.00.
Incipio MT-106 Feather Case for Motorola Atrix 4G - Matte Black
I have the speck case. Very durable and even dropped my phone from about five feet high landing on the corner of the case on the edge of my metal bedframe. The case has a little dent where that happened but nothing happened to the phone. Doesnt fit very well in the dock but is extremely easy to take on and off.
you should think about getting a new back cover (i believe they come in green or blue) and then just putting a high quality screen protector on your phone. the scratch issue is gone, the phone still fits in the dock, and the screen is decently protected.
this may help:

just a couple of more questions:
Will the seido case work with the docking station?
Which screen protector should i get as well?
Personally I just bought an oem battery door from ebay and it fits perfect, with less creaking than my old one. Plus I purchased a tpu case from ebay also, I always go with these tpu cases as they are lightweight and protect from major falls. Dropped my inc-s which had one from about 4 feet onto concrete and not a single mark was left on the phone. Hope this helps.

To be honest, I love the aesthetics of this case; however, I dislike it very much right now.
I recently dropped my phone as I was getting out of my car. It's not a high car. I saw the phone hit the ground, the case flew off, and then my phone hit the ground again.
Now, my once pristine phone has deep scratches on all 4 corners.
Sad times.

New dilemma
Ok now after all of my case searching these are the two choices that i have:
An Incipio Feather Case and Zagg Screen Protector
or
An Incipio SILICRYLIC-Hard-Shell-Case-with-Silicone-Core
Which one should i get now?
btw i couldnt get what i said i was getting before cause they do not deliver to Pakistan but Incipio and Zagg do from their official websites
get the Otterbox Commuter
Dont really like the Otterbox commuter...what about the two cases that i stated before? Which one of those should i get?
Pwersonally, I would go for the 'Clear Protector' instead of Zagg... I have tried both and found the 'clear' a smarter fit.
As for the cover, it is up to you. Trial and erorr no doubt. I have the mesh cover which fits well (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/new-Hard-..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item53e8938ff1) and provides protection.
I prefer Martin Fields than Zagg. They seem comparable in protection but Martin Fields has no orange peel yet has anti glare and also A LOT easier to 'install' on your phone.
I just got my atrix but i dont like the plastic cover. I had desire to this point and i am looking for a case which has that kind of feel like desire.
I would really appreciate any help
I read one account of a user having issues with a Surface case and a tempered glass screen protector. Anybody using that combo and is it working ok?

Bumping one more time because they are on sale today. Will it work ok with a TG screen protector?

Sorry I can't help you with your question. But that's a good price for the case just can't believe they don't do it in white. Thanks for the link

Well don't know if this helps but my last experience with seido surface for the GS4 was pretty bad after a month use the rubberized paint on it started wearing off and Seido refused to do anything about it. I used to always get their holsters for my HTC phones and had no issues. 1st case I had an issue with they refused to do anything about it and I paid $50 direct from seido also. I would not buy another seido product. But that's just me. The price is nice though I just would not expect it to last more than a month without the finish pealing off.
I read here that it wouldn't work with a TG unless it was a really thin TG. Not sure if true or not.
I was the user that had the issue. I do not recommend it. I had the SPIGEN GLAS.tr. It pushed the screen protector down almost making a cracking sound, to which i saw air bubbles form. The bubbles went away after I put it on with a decent amount of force. This stupid case is not meant to work with a good screen protector because it hugs the phone too tight. I guess that was the purpose of their design. The biggest issue was taking it off. People without screen protectors on Amazon complain about how hard it is to take off without a screen protector. Now, with one, it's IMPOSSIBLE. I cannot explain to you enough how IMPOSSIBLE it is (NOTE: I'm a strong enough guy 180 lbs 6 feet tall athletic build. I open and lift things easily without issue when it comes to impossible soda bottles or things that get stuck in the house). I ruined my silver bezel edge with a tiny scuff due to this stupid case as I tried for 30 minutes to get it off. It just would not come off. So I was like screw it. I ended up just pulling the area where both pieces connect and yanking it to the side while digging (damaging my nail) to have them disconnect and send the bottom piece flying. Luckily, there was no damage to the case so I was able to get my money back and full refund on Amazon. However, the silver plastic top bezel had a tiny scuff, which really annoyed me because I'm OCD like that and keep my phones and other tech flawless with protective cases/screen protectors; I keep my items in NEW/MINT condition if I ever want to sell something. Also, I don't mind buying the casing to replace the bezel, which I did for my Note 2 when it fell on concrete with a case that did not protect the top or bottom (like SPIGEN Ultra-fit). However, with the Note 3, they have the Silver Plastic glued to the screen LCD portion instead of the backside like the Note 2. So that means instead of 15 bucks you have to spend $200+ to replace it. NOT WORTH IT.
This was just way too difficult. Save yourself the trouble if you really want to protect your phone and your screen. You're better off with a UAG or something similar. I use the SPIGEN Bounce and it works very well with the GLAS.tr.
@opasha Do you have the holster for the Surface case, and do you have any other cases? I'm curious how well other cases fit in both the Surface holster and Dilex holster. Can't decide if I'm gonna buy one of those holsters, or the holster for the naked phone.

Sorry bro, I never really use holsters. My dad does. He has a UAG case for his S3 and the DILEX and SURFACE were too small. However, the CONVERT holster fit perfect for him. I have a BOUNCE case and I'm sure the DILEX holster would work for that. I'm pretty sure for anything to fit in a SURFACE holster, you would need to have a very bare minimum case like SPIGEN ULTRA-FIT or something along those lines...if that.

That's cool, I appreciate it anyway! I thought I'd read before that the Bounce case fit in the Surface holster, but want to be sure before I make the purchase. I would imagine it will, as the Bounce and Surface cases are pretty similar in size. I'm afraid that the Dilex holster will be too big, and not hold the Bounce(or a similar sized TPU case) very tight.

Yeah, I feel you. The Bounce does feel very similar if not a little thinner than the Surface. It actually might fit.
Got my Surface today! I love it. It's exactly what I hoped. The only problem, which is a big one by the way, it's not compatible with my 9H Iloome. The protector started to bubble on one of the corners. It was so tight that I wasn't sure that I could get it on and it also wouldn't snap closed. If you take the battery cover off, it fits just fine. But I'm not sure that I want to use it like that. I may buy a thinner TG screen protector, like the iloome flex, but I'd hate to throw away the $25 that I spent on the 9H.
