There is newer ROM from Cingular, but I don't know how to unlock device. Have also this ROM inside.

I m from singapore but there is no new rom.
hasn't been a new ROM release for a very long time for Asia already. anyway checking the HTC website can answer your question very quickly...

Does HTC Offcial 2.54 ROM for TD2 Available? I have see about 2.54 in HTC site for their SMS Update, so that mean that ROM exists?
Also somewhere I have seen this below ROM is available, but India site does not give this ROM So where to get 2.54?

Hi, I will probably flash this tonight and let you know. Also I have a post here to see if any expert has any view before I install , as I am not that expert that I can view the nbh file and tell you, but will surely share the apps that I will see after install .

currunt rom-2.17.720( thats the latest available on HTC INDIA webiste), but 2.53 is available in rest of the world.
Which rom i should upgrade to and how...please help...im a noob!
And also I wanted to know that before ugrading the Rom how can i save a backup of my contacts and sms

Hi,
India HTC site does not give 2.53. You have only option for 2.17 from official site. May be if you go to Service Center they will install 2.53 for you .
But if you like you can get these official ROMs from http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Topaz site and install 2.53 which is very stable and good one and has latest Radio ROM too.
Reg Backup::
Yes you can take backup for you contacts, calender, Task and SMSs before you upgrade.
For Contact: Create a Outlook profile and sync your mobile so that the new profile will have all your Contacts, Calender, Task etc.
For SMS: Use "My Phone" application on your mobile and Sync online to Microsoft My Phone for SMS. (of course you can use My Phone to sync every thing online).
But I prefer only SMS for myself

Phew! The service center refused to flash official ROM since I had my device HardSPL'ed. Had to do the mtty myself. Luckily it worked. Thanks to MysticGenius for coming up with the tutorial.

Yes! Luckily 2.54 didnt brick my phone. MTTY was of great help.

The HTC mobiles are locked to a region so that the official ROM released in that area will work for that device.
Now as you have use official ROM from another region or may be any Cooked ROM, so you need to have HSPL installed before you use any other ROM on your device.
You can get all info about HSPL here:

Note: By doing HSPL you will lose your warranty, if there.

Recently I got my new Red Magic from China with ROM version NX609j_ENCommon_v2.20.
In short time I have tried out last international ROM 1.12 and new CN ROM 2.36.
But I want to try a bit more the NX609j_ENCommon_v2.20 one and I can not find it.
Is there anybody who still has it in phone and can make a dump or backup? and give a download link.
Or anybody has a download link to this ROM?

mars is a new device. how can you even think that you have ROMs for that? Just wait the device is being launched globally.
