Hello Guys,
for a few days i installed Villain 5. Since then the tab "paid apps" in "Market" was lost although i wiped before installing.
Then i installed Villain 4.2 -> There was the same bug.
I tried much to fix it ... no chance.
I wanted to show everyone what i ment and installed "Shot me" to make a screenshot. I started the app and go back to market for the desired screenshot..... AND THE "PAID APPS" TAB WAS BACK AGAIN!!!
Can someone explain this?
Thanks!
I think google were having issues.
It happens ones more. I tried to install Villain5.02 again. Then i go to Apps->all applications. No "paid apps" tab is shown. (see attachment)
Then i go to the "comics" an got my "Paid apps" tab back.

Same thing happened to me, but I haven't seen the paid tab since it dissapeared.

Whenever I go to market then downloads it says "server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." The internet browser works. I could install apps, but for some reason it is not working. Is this happening to anyone else, and is there a fix to this?
ahhh same thing here... wtf is going on suddenly? i've tried factory reset, ive tried restoring from titanium backup... no luck!
UPDATE: seems to be having to others as well. few topics on android support forums as well. From older topics, seems like this happens when they're updating the market, so perhaps thats what it is now
I can download and sync with appbrain fine, but I'm getting that error on the download page also
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Same thing happend to me couple days ago try this...
Go to "settings"
then "Applications"
then "Manage applications"
then "Market"
Then click on uninstall updates
mine worked again.
I am having issues downloading any and every app from the market. I recently rooted it and rommed it with honeycomb. I was wondering if there was anything i was doing incorrectly. Sorry if this has been posted before, just new to dealing with tabs and honeycomb.
I had that problem, but I found instruction on a forum post. I don't have a link to the post, but this is what I did...
Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications
Find "market"
Click "Force Stop", then "Clear Cache"
Back
Find "Google Services Framework"
I think you also "force stop", you definitely "clear cache". Sorry, I don't remember for sure.
It might help to restart your Nook after that.
Once I did this, the market started working well.
Which ROM ? Is that HC v4?
I am experiencing the same thing (HC v4).
Not only that, some application says downloading... but it never installs..
not even error messages pops up...

With the BN 1.1 and auto-nooter 3.0.1, I see no "Google Services Framework", even after changing the filter to "all".
Having the same issue but a work around is the amazon market,
though caveat many of the apps go directly to SD and need to be moved to the internal storage through settings to work. like Angry Birds

Had the same issue on Froyo, just because at some moment I removed the "Use Location" option (must have been drunk/asleep/both).
Once I set it back everything was fine -- new apps installed, old updated without errors
the "my apps" tab in the android market is currently only showing 6 apps installed out of maybe 25 or 30 at least. my tab is all stock with touchwiz. i also noticed that my apps that arent showing up in the "my apps" tab aren't auto updating like they should be either. i found this out by searching for one of my installed apps and it gave me the button to update it.
another weird thing is that when i searched for adobe flash app(which is currently installed) the button was there that said install instead of manage or update.
i really am not sure why this is happening and its really bugging me. is anyone else having this experience? or does anyone know a way to fix this? thanks in advance.
I'm wondering if this is a server-side issue. Yesterday, I opened up the market and was unable to download anything. When I went to my apps, they were all missing. There was nothing there but a message that said something like "No apps to download" or something like that.
I cleared the cache and data and restarted the Market a few times and it resolved itself.
If data and cache cleaning do not help you can always use Titanium Backup's Market Doctor feature.
will look into it thanks for the info
well i tried clearing data and cache as well as rebooting tab. not really sure what else. i did just get prompted for a system update i did that and for about 10 minutes it was showing all of my apps, however its back to only showing about 10 apps out of 44.
I m having the same issue, because i did not installed the apps by market.
I saved the apk and just install it from the card and mine apps are not showing in the market.
So the easy way to list again is just manually search the app in the market and update it. (if update is available) and it will show in the My Apps
What is this error and how do I fix it?
Logging into my freshly hard-reset device via Market I get a white box that states:
"Applications and games owned by this account will appear here"
I THOUGHT I solved it myself by following my own advice:
Clear data and cache.
Didn't work the first time and it seems to be randomly recurring,.... and now it's always happening, which leads me to believe it is a GOOGLE issue.
Just in case anyone else has this issue.
Anyone have any ideas?
I restored from a previously functional backup and still no dice.
It's happening to me, also. Calk's 2.0 on a Sprint S2 E4GT.
Cleared Market cache and data, no dice. Tried switching Market back-and-forth to another Google account, no dice.
Happily, I can still get updates via AppBrain.
I have a theory that it was due to something that I extracted from my CWM backup via Titanium Backup.
Did you by any chance do something similar?
I don't think my theory is in any way accurate. Something seems to be going on with the Google server end. I wish they'd fix it.
find a solution (maybe someone find one BETTER)
i have tried anything to solve this problem but no dice. now i have installed KL1 (wipe version ) and the market works perfectly
i also have heard about many problem with market on KK5..
Interestingly enough, My Apps worked correctly ... once ... after I flashed Calk's 2.0.1a over 2.0.
Still using AppBrain to sync updates.
On evo3d, this seems to be a widespread problem across many phones even on stock software. I've been experiencing for a couple months now. Do you have any sideloaded apps, bootleg or amazon or mikandi? My theory is that the 3rd party apps are interfering with the market. I have amazon apps that show in google market as purchased. I uninstalled everything and reloaded with my titanium backup, marked as sideloaded, worked for about a week then the market started reassoiciating itself with my 3rd party apps and broke again. appbrain doesnt pick up all updates either, I've been waiting for about a week for it to pick up the beautiful widgets update and hasnt so far. this sucks.
try this solution. download and install appbrain. sync your google account with appbrain and then click "sync" on apprain. when sync is finished, open market and now it works . please check this

Does not work but thanks anyway.
no no no this damn problem is back. I think it was a problem kk5. I have check rom revo v4
he he, anyone that experieced this problem has blackmart alpha installed
follow this solution:
uninstall blackmart alpha. go to manage application, market>force stop it>clear cache>clear data
go to market accept user agreement
now it will work. please tell me
I have same problem before restore my apps with titanium on XWKK5; so, I think it was an error for use market doctor with system apps, then I clear all market links with Titanium and works, market came back lo list my apps but before install some apps I have the problem again and delete market link doesn't work; when I restore XWKK2 nandroid, market works fine and I never install balckmarket or similars, I've wrote to google support but only says clar cache and data from market, but doesn't work and never responding me ...
PD: Sorry for my english, I'm from latinoamerica
This is definitely a problem which surfaces with KK5.
Upon upgrade to KL1, the problem vanishes. Flashing back to KK5, even factory reset, brings it back.
I've seen my stuff in My Apps just once in several weeks...immediately after flashing Caulk's 2.5 full. Worked correctly once, then everything dissapeared again.

Same here. Flashed Calk's 2.5 full, market worked fine first time I selected "My Apps". Second time I tried, I would get one of the following:
- "Apps and games owned by this account will appear here."
- "Applications and games owned by this account will appear here."
I'm attaching a screenshot. (BTW, tried reflashing the ROM, did not solve the problem.)
EDIT: Posted the issue in the ET4G Q&A section as well

I've been running KK2 (Australian) version for around a week and all has been well until today when I've got the same error message.
Had it previously on other versions of KK2 and KK5 but now it's back.
Haven't done anything today to cause it...come on Google, sort it out

I have figured out how to fix this with titanium backup. Basically, you use the remove all market links option then attach each app back with titanium one by one. Pay attention to what apps you add back, excluding any from Amazon app store. Reboot and wait. After about a half a day things will be back to normal

I don't see a "remove market links" option. I only see option to attach link to market. Please advise!

I think it's only available to pro versions. It's actually labeled "Destroy all Market links" in the "market tools" menu item.
I was certain this would be answered already but couldn't find one...
I've flashed hundreds of ROMs and have always been able to go to market.android.com and install apps (even ones that said "INSTALLED") but I just flashed a new ROM and now if I click on an app it says it's already installed on the device. Is there anyway to reset this data on the website?
EDIT:
Ugh. Searched for 30 minutes before posting this and couldn't find an answer - literally the next thing I read had the answer:

Login to your Google dashboard; from a PC preferebly. Else from cell is also fine.
There, scroll down to "Android market" and click "Installed applications"
This will open android market, with your already installed apps list, under orders tab. Click the 'Settings' tab here.
Hopefully you'll see your device listed here, but the nickname will be missing. At least that's what I saw. Edit and add a nickname, save changes.
Thanks ..just encountered the problem...I'm always switching ROM (very addicting) & 1st time I encountered this problem as well.
Yikes...My device is not listed ...Guess I have to add them manually from my phone

This happens to me when I switch ROM format or smartphone, but sending the install again, it works.
Galaxy S4 Solution
I had to reinstall ("repair") the software on my Galaxy S4. When all was complete, I had the same problem as the OP. I fixed it by:
Going to the app store via my phone--"play store" app.
Clicking the menu button (bottom left on the phone).
Selecting My Apps.
The missing apps had an X and just said free or whatever.
Clicking the app opens the window to install.
Obvious from there....
