Is it possible to upgrade the battery from the default one ? or is that it ? I am wondering if I can but a better, longer lasting battery...
yeah you can
the stock one is 1300 mah
you can get a 1700 mah one from ebay, same size
you can get 2200 and even 3000 mah ones, but they are qquite big and require a larger battery cover
search ebay

i got one of these ones, theyre pretty good, about 25% more battery life imho

Hi,
I'm looking at replacing the standard slim line battery in my HTC TyTn, and have been trying to decide which battery brand to go for - Mugen Power or Cameron Sino.
Which do people find better?
The Mugen Power batteries are more expensive, but are they worth the difference in cost?
quite frankly i doubt if an slimline battery is very different as far as useage time go (may 5 min more usage?).
i chose to get the extended battery and bigger battery door. if you use your phone that much a 2x capacity batt or any slim batt as an extra would do.
yes your phone is bigger after, but if time is what you need, not really any choice.
also for the $ of a generic, you can probably buy 2-3 name brand ones.

SEIDIO 3200 IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!
2 X Seidio!!!!
hy guys, just bought duino 2200 mAh battery so let you know about the diamond thickness with this one, it's about 2.1 cm. Don't worry about battery life, in really is double as the original, do worry though about bulkyness. the store where i did get this one told me that the 1700 mAh one is like the original thickness, but not really noticeable battery life improvement over original
hows the battery life?
tudorlv, thanks for picture but the battery made topaz bulky....wish if any one test the battery of 1700 mAH which fits diamond2
Hello,
I have the Duino 2200 battery and its the double life time then the original, and about the bulky thing you have to choose more lifetime or skinny TD2 and charge every day or max 2 days.
Im verry happy with it stays without any problem 4 days on normal use, calling ,sms and a few games a day.
Greetz Scoozy.
yes, but you are not using a cradle...
I have a U.S. T-mobile HTC HD2 and I'm currently travelling in Europe. I need to purchase an extra battery and I'm planning to purchase it from ebay but, I wanted to know if there is a difference in batteries for the UK HTC HD2 and U.S. HD2?
Is there a difference in the voltage or mAh? I'd rather purchase it from a europe seller so I don't have to wait on shipping if I get it from shipped from the U.S. although I don't want to purchase an incompatible battery and mess up the phone.
Thanks
No difference. The official HTC battery is 1230mah for tmous and international.
Thanks for the quick reply!
One more question, does the mAh make a difference if it's not 1230 mAh like official battery? Since I've found some that are 1100 and 1300. Is mAh an indicator to how long the battery will last? Since it seems the higher the mAh I've found the higher the price, unless I'm mistaken.
Yes and no. The mAh should make a difference (as in more=better) but 11 times out of 10 the 1300 mah batteries are a LIE. I got a cheap $5 battery from china that is supposedly 1350 mah. It lasts slightly less than my stock battery. For $5 I don't really care... In fact I'm quite happy having a cheap spare that actually works. The only battery that will definately give you extended life is the 2400(ish) batteries. They are huge and fat though.
Edit: I think mugen has a 1300mah standard size battery now for HD2 and they are fairly reputable so I would believe that one might last a bit longer.
BEWARE!
Beware, I bought an extended HTC HD2 battery from Europe and it it wigging out my internet connection and my MMS. Tmo has no clue why and neither does HTC.
chris
Can anyone please guide me about a working extended battery??
I did not mind the bulge it makes but atleast it should give me one and half day heavy usage backup.
1700 mAh
Hi,
whait a while. I've ordered a 1700mAH Accu and will post my results.
http://cgi.ebay.com/2600mAh-HTC-Tou...044332?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cb95eef2c
two days of heavy usage
looks bulky, but thats u get for mobility
ps, after using it for a couple months, i returned to standart battery. just of a look.
I,ve ordered a 1700mAh Accu from Honkong. The size is the same as the orginal one from HTC.
It works - BUT!!!! The Accu and the Cover description suggerate that the Accuu has 1700mAh - it is not true. The internal Battery Programm shows 1100mAh like the orginal Accu. My tests confirm that i don't get more standbytmie or onlione time.
Which one of these batteries is better and why

Not knowing anythging about batteries myself, I assume that the higher mAh is better. Just wanna make sure

the HTC one is bigger and has more mAH so last longer... but you will need a different battery door... the other one i think fits in the stock battery door but only last longer for a couple of months
Ebay ad says: *Extended battery door is needed, which we do not currently carry*
Don't forget that the Rezound antenna it is located on the back cover so if you get an extend battery it should come with a new cover and antenna as well.
The HTC one does.

Besides what the others have posted, I've found Mugen batteries to be overrated in regards to MAH rating. Ive only had two Mugen batteries on other phones, but received nearly identical battery use in comparison to my lesser mah stock batteries.
Just my opinion, but grab the HTC extended battery, but don't forget about the door. I have 3 extended battery doors if you need one.
