I know that I sove find a guide explaining step by step how to install windows 6.5 on my htc cruise;
I downloaded the ROM from here

Ok, that is an easy question..... First install hard-SPL...read the thread here how to do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552481.
Ones you have done that put your new Rom (nbh file) in a map folder on your computer together with RUU application read here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492931 than start the RUU aplication and follow instructions.....
In all cases have computer connected with phone via active sync.....

After i have read a lot thread about how to install a new ROM to my G4 device i want ask if is the correct way what i have learned:
my Phone:
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
ROM IMate
ROM Version: 2.13.9.21 ITA
Radio Ver: 0.2.07.20
Prtotocol Ver. 413.1.03
ExtROM Ver: 2.13.9.111
As i can Understand using the Guide found on xda ftp (How_to_upgrade.rar) is not so complicate.
But what i understand about CIDLock G4 and G3 CIDunlock device is the G3 is able to upgrade/downgrade the IPL/SPL version using the original SHIPPED ROM and the G4 is able only to upgrade IPL/SPL and not back forward :-( so if you made some wrong Upgrade you can not Repair...
So the Guide explain how to upgrade (Radio/ROM/ExtROM) your G4 CIDLocked device without upgrade the IPL/SPL version...ok is not a problem at the moment but also say "you must have the Originale SPL/IPL Rom version" because if you made some Wrong step you can restore the OLD one...
And now i found some problem...I dont Have the Original ROM because i bought my PDA (Vodaphone Compact S) on eBay and i already found the Imate Italian ROM...but is very old ROM i want install the New Qtek (RUU_Prophet_220738_2207118_024721_QTEK_ITA_Ship) every Downloaded ROM is broken..:-(
So My question is:
1- Is the right guide to upgrade my G4 lock Device?
2- What is my Original ROM (in case bad upgrade to new one?)
2- Where i can found the new RUU_Prophet_220738_2207118_024721_QTEK_ITA_Ship?

Ho scaricato dal mulo una rom se non ricordo male il file e' "ROM_Qtek_s200_21etc" ho provato scaricarla e mi sembra gia' modificata x G4 non contiene IPL forse solo SPL... Oppure e' quella Originale? E' meglio quella dell'Imate? E' rischioso aggiornarla? Sai darmi qualche consiglio?

Final Solution!!!! Is tooo simple!!! Using the guide found on FTP xda-developers (How_to_upgrade.rar) follow every step describe on the Guide an the file provided in the same file i have burn my New ROM for my G4 without risk!!!!!
I can also upload or share my G4 version of RUU_Prophet_220738_2207118_024721_QTEK_ITA_Ship, if is possible i can upload for every guy on xda-developer site...
So after i read and scream when i receive my Prophet G4 i now can keep a big breath....fffff... so is possible upgrade a new ROM on G4 Device... IS VERY SIMPLE CREATE YOUR ROM WITHOUT IPL/SPL....
Many thanks for the big work and suggest make to create the guide/tool to do my hack....

But any WM6 cannot install, so i think something is bad, version of rom? radio? Windows 5 (Prophet Temp) working fine. But I wanna 6. What to do?

I don't think there is any news of an Italian ROM yet (or again with Alta Vista Babel Fish (I have no idea how accurate this is!!!): Non penso che ci siano tutte le notizie di una ROM italiana ancora.
It does sound better in Italian.
i would think that once an official wm6 rom surfaces, that there will be localized language versions as well. So there is hope for an Italian or other language rom other than world wide english...

Sorry - you;'re going to have to speak English. I don't speak Italian and Alta Vista just ain't that great!
If I can try and understand the translation (Excused but if I have not understood badly, who has the ppc localized the Italian language puo' neanche not to install wm6 wwe just? (!!!!!!)), I don't think there is one yet.

I want to upgrade it to a ROM WM5 or WM6 Italian languages and complete with Office programs.
I have tried with rom HTC_ITA_1.18.258.2_1-17-07_SPL1.04_Radio1.27by{5nork}.rar when i press the key Next from version 3.22.110.1 to 2.05.2, activesync (4.5 ita) connection falls and I receives error 260 [CONNECTION ERROR]
WHAT MISTAKE? someone can help me?

Tutto OK! Ho risolto il problema ed ora gira con WM6 Professional in Italiano.

First of all, congratz for the forum, i've been reading it for a while and i find it very useful.
I'm currently the owner of a Touch Dual, tim-branded.
Boot loader: 1.16
ROM: 1.31.408.09
Radio: 1.58.16.27
I would like to upgrade its firm operating system to wm 6.5, i have found 2 interesting roms:

I think i will install the second one (3G, the build 21234).
However, i've got some question:
I'm currently using a Vodafone sim on my phone, so i suppose that even if it is tim branded, it isn't locked. Am i right?
Second... i know i need to hardspl the device before installing the rom, i will follow this procedure [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730 ] the uspl procedure for 1.15 version.
Finally, should i care about something in particular? Maybe a radio upgrade? Or maybe coz i have an italian device and the rom is WWE?
