TF3d - Touch2 ROM Development

Hi
All
anyone wanna try this..... it worked for Niki and polaris and Kaiser
well mega!!! who knows!!!
i dont have a mega so cant try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=663116

I think mega doesnt have this driver too.

Don't work...tested on my mega

if anyone can make 3d driver for mega?

It's not that simple, why is it so hard to understand?
it's NOT just the driver but the technology itself, it's like trying to get a playstation 3 game to run on a playstation 2. it just wont happen. deal with it.
touchflo 3d sucks just as much as touchflo2d. (actually, i now like touchflo, but its still basic, and 3d or 2d makes naff all difference)

The Qualcomm MSM7225 in the Touch 2 has no hardware accelerated 3D video capabilities so it wouldn't just work. You might be able to get it going by writing a driver that offloaded all the graphics work to the CPU. Really it depends how intensive the application is. On the Touch 2 even if you could get it going it would probably make the device run very hot, slow and have a substantially reduced battery life.

i tested it on touch (elf - arm200MHz) and it was terrible :-( so i think, it would better on touch2 (Mega - Qualcom 525MHz), but not right

Game - Whack-A-Monty [Beta]

Please check the requirements before you install!!
I'm new to developing on the Pocket PC platform and decided that I wanted to give it a shot. I figured that the best way to learn would be game, so here's my first attempt. This game is based off the New Super Mario Brothers mini-game called Whack-A-Monty (from the Nintendo DS). All of the graphics are from the original game; I have no intention of selling or making a profit from this game so I don't feel bad using their graphics. This is just a learning experience that I thought I'd share with everyone.
Requirements:
In this version (0.1), I have only included support for Pocket PC 320x240 or 240x240 resolutions. Also, I have only tested this on WM5 & WM6 emulators. This will only work on phones with a touchscreen.
This game was written in C# and thus requires .NET CF 2.0.
Again, this is my first attempt at game for Windows Mobile, so this is mostly a learning experience. Please don't crucify me for posting a game here, I'll be moving on to applications next. Let me know what you think!
I haven't tried the cab yet, but if I may I'd like to see the source code, specifically how you did the animation because I've been struggling with that.

This is awesome. Thanks heaps!
Yes this works well and reminds me of the game ratsplat - it needs sound to make it complete - keep up the good work!
VERY VERY cool game lol
Thank you!!!
Would there be any way to enable to input a name with a high score?

Not much animation in this game actually, but I do plan on releasing the code here. I need to do some tidying up first. I found the 'Programming with cheese' articles on MSDN very helpful for starting.
As for adding sound, .NET CF 2.0 has very limited support playing sounds. As far as I could find, there's no *easy* method for mixing sounds, or playing more than one sound at the same time. I need to do some more research on sound...

Hmm... I thought about this originally. I might bring it back.
Overall, I'm more interested in seeing if anyone has had problems installing the game (shortcuts work / in correct place), gameplay issues (hits aren't recorded, slow play, ...), stability issues, etc
Not working...
Hi there, the screenshots of your game look pretty cool. Unfortunately, I cannot play it, it's not working.
I own a Dell X51v with WM 6 (football edition A3, release RTM) but haven't installed Microsoft Net Framework (I was told that it is included in WM6). Whenever I start the game, only 25 percent of the game is visible in the upper left corner of my screen, the rest of the game's screen is somehow 'cut off' and my today screen or whatever is visible.
What a petty...
Do you guys know what to do about it? I guess I have already tried to install Netframework, but WM6 refuses to do so if I remember correctly.
Thanks for your help,
7
It installs and runs on my Universal (WM6), but unfortunately the VGA screen makes it unplayable (you can only see the top left quarter of the game area).
If you feel like expanding your learning experience, support for VGA devices would be very nice! And why not include a landscape mode too

Yes!!! Please!!! And I'll give to you 72 virgins without the need of immolate you (I think that 72 virgins is not enough but.. xD) Without jokes, I love this kind of games, and it looks great but I cant play it
All the best
Well I can't give you the virgins, but I would be damn grateful, I'm just getting into this stuff on my Universal, so other than the snes emulator, that I got working everything else is always suspect on the butttons or outdated. So please.
Im still playing the game, its working great!! Any updates?
This game is great and worked excellent on my MWG Atom Life until I flashed to medkid's 6.1 ROM, now when I install it messes with some of the fonts (e.g. on the screen alignment screen and on commanager using poorlyduck's vista theme). The game itself kinda works ok on 6.1 but the stylus isn't very accurate for some reason, often missing some while hitting others. My girlfriend was devastated when I told her she couldn't play whack-a-monty anymore! ;] thanks for a great game otherwise though!
hey, looks great, I'd like to play it on my VGA device too
it reminds me that great flash game tontie.
unfortunately I have yet to see a pda able to play flash games flawlessly
Hey, thanks for sharing! I like it!!
Greetings, Melle.
i tried to use it on my palm treo pro and a part of the screen is cut off...I dont know what the prob is.
very cool and a lot of fun! Also, a very old thread!!
great game!I ultimately know why the game interests you and lead you programming.
vga request
loved it on my kaiser, love it more on my touch pro
Good game for killing more boredom
Thankyou.
no updates?

Could you be more specific with your question?
no. it wont work corectly. the software is designed with a dedicated graphics processor in mind. our titans lack this.
yes that means you will have to but a new phone come september....

Umm, i think our Titans just lack the DRIVER to enable the 3D acceleration. At least i hope so keeping in mind the recent brouhaha surrounding this issue. If the driver is available, the 3D interface should work..

It's new hardware -- a new processor -- plus the application is skinned for VGA. There is no reason to assume such code "should" work on older devices. Possibly, with hacks and frustration, but there cannot be any certainty.

the hardware is different. very different. and the video driver that we are lacking simply helps video render easier. it really doesnt help with 3d graphic acceleration or anything like that.
the new phone has a dedicated graphics processing unit and a VGA screen. the interface that you see on the diamond videos would look horrid on our phones. it just wouldnt even be worth it.
(and this is not to mention that our phones have a problem running opera + one other program simultaneously, there is no way in God's green earth that our phones could process such an incredible application

is their a way to have touchflo3D on the titan

im so tired of waiting for the touch pro

You can have TouchFlo 2D which is a less memory intesive version. Near identical as far as I can tell.
Check out the ROM that I made in this post:

It looks great and is pretty smooth to boot ;c)

Not until someone makes the drivers for our device. Hard to say if that will happen or not.
how about now?
This was a topic of discussion in my office the other day. The smartphone industry is moving so fast that it's impossible to keep up (unless you have lots of money to spare).
When the manufacturers introduce a new device they also introduce more memory intensive software. Almost to MAXOUT all of the new power. The problem is, from a hardware/software engineering perspective, with devices such as the TP it seems that went a little too far. That is why you are hearing people complaining about their devices hanging. An example of a device that had a GUI designed to be 80% intensive of the hardware is the iPhone. This leaves room to grow until you get your next device.
This is the reason TouchFLO 3D/2D are slow and freeze up. They were designed to MAX out specific device specs that the Titan doesn't have and the TP barely passes the benchmark... When you buy a new PC do you load the most process intensive apps on it to the point where it is choking up? No. You leave room to grow. What people fail to realize is that these devices have been pretty much fully loaded from day 1. You can only REALLY run flawlessly some apps on the Titan. Anything too intense will result is freezing and choppy behaviour.

[GAME] Lego Memory game

Hi guys,
this is my first game for Windows Mobile 6.5 devices. It is a simple memory game where you need to find matching lego boys heads.
It works for both WVGA and VGA devices (not tested on other resolutions).
Hope you will enjoy it
I would have a go with this but I have had a natural hatred for memory games since I was young, Im terrible at them.
On the other hand, It is still AWESOME
There should be more LEGO Games

Running HTC Diamond...everything stock...
Same here, nothing happen. HTC Touch Elfin stock ROM.
HTC HD2.
Works awesome. It's bad enough trying to tell my 8 year old son not to touch my phone. He's going to love this. It'll be perfect for when we are in a restaurant waiting for the food.
Thanks
Its working on my Diamond ( Energry ROM WM6.5.3 )
NOTE : video will take you to viddler ( can not embedd videos here )
I do not work. starts, but does not respond to touch. What's wrong?
WM 6.1 and Omnia?
Yes, the game works only on Windows Mobile 6.5.
It uses the newest touch API that is not available on previous windows mobile version.
hi, I found out that can't be installed on SD card (also if setted to do that during installation).
eats 1 MB of internal storage., and can't find it in program folders.
can it be fixed?

Chainfire3d: Boost Your Graphics on the SGP5!

Hey guys! Just purchased and tested Chainfire3d on my Samsung Galaxy Player 5' and it makes Gameloft games look MUCH better with the 4xMSAA. It went from the jagged edges look absolutely HORRIBLE to looking much, much better. While there is still a bit of roughness on the edges of 3D models, it still looks so much better.
I highly recommend giving this a shot, it made Asphalt look so much better! If you don't like it, it has a short window for refunds as far as I know, so be quick! But I'm positive you'll love the difference as I did!
<EDIT> Read 1st Post <EDIT> by Zaiinn
I recently discovered chainfire3d worked on my SGP.. nice difference! LOVING night mode too, that's arguably my favorite feature.
A lot of game look and run better too. I wish I could get CF.lumen working too, but it wont detect a location. Probably has something to do with it not having a cell radio.

The 4xMSAA (MultiSamp Anti-Aliasing) works without any extra plugins. Make sure you check the "(BETA) EGL driver" is checked when you install the CF3D driver. Then go down to:
Per-app OpenGL Settings --> [Select An App] --> Go to the bottom and you'll see the option.

Sadly our GPU can't use 16x =(
Wow! Thanks! not only do my games look better, but they run faster too
Who knows maybe I can configure Plants vs. zombies, so it won't crash any more!
(running on Samsung galaxy player 4.0)
