Does anyone have a picture of a Bricked Eris I just want to see what the screen shows when it is.

Only bricked eris I know of, are ones that won't turn on. Long as you can get to teh bootloader, the odds are that you can fix it.
only replying because I need 8 to get past some noob rules. geez.
i thought i bricked my phone once when i was messing with SetCPU, and set the processor at ~900mhz to see how high it will go (long time ago) LOL... made my phone turn white and turn off. i turn it back on it would load, but once finished it would turn off again. had to turn on the phone in bootloader (i dont remember the buttons to press and hold) and re-flash... but thats when i stopped F-ing with over clocking...

nope...i mean i bought the phone used but i just did the OTA 2.1 update so even if they did root that should cancel it out right? and it doesnt turn on all the time, only once and awhile.
Sounds like there could be a problem with the power button. Ki know mine is super sensitive. Seems like if I barely brush against it, my phone will turn on. Maybe see if you can get it replaced under the factory warranty.

I dont believe its the power button cuz i set it down in my locker at work and one time i watched it power off then turn right back on and it was just sitting there..
I dunno. Have you tried a factory reset?
Ok so my grandparents have a tablet and it was working great for about two weeks but today my grandmother turned it off, and later tried to turn it on but it wont turn on. She plugged it in, wont turn on, she took it to the store and they couldnt get it to work so theyre gonna order her a new one but if we can fix it she can have it now anyone have this problem and can I fix it?

Ya, sounds like you are getting the SOD (Sleep of Death) that is if she didnt actually turn it off but just thought she did, anyways it wont hurt to try
To get it to power up you need to hard reset it, hold down the power button and volume down at the same time for around 8 secs or so, basically just keep it held down until you see the Samsung splash screen, it should restart normally, if it happens again which it probably will just rinse and repeat
Just wait and get it exchanged, if they agreed to change it then there's really no need to go meddling around with it and possibly voiding the warranty
Yeah known issue on the 10.1 Tab, had it aswell very often but on HC 3.1 and when the tab is it's docking (keyboard).
Now with updating to 3.2 oddly enough never happens anymore.
What I did indeed was to hold the power button untill the tab restarted.
Ok thanks guys helped a bunch

First of all I am a complete noob to jail breaking phones (if thats even correct! lol)
Ok so here is my problem. It started last night after playing Temple Run and the power went down to 13% I think. After that I left the phone and when I checked it again it was dead so I thought it was completely flat....so i plugged in the charger. After awhile I checked again and tried to turn it on but it didnt till I held the on/off button for a while and the load screen pops up and gets stuck there. Also I noticed when I plugged in the charger however the charging light does not turn on but when I turn on the phone it does. After a couple of tries the light at some point blinks.
I own a HTC one X+ (T mobile).
I dont believe it is rooted since the bootloader says "locked"
I have tried searching the forum and there were afew people with the same problem but that seems to be because they have rooted their phones and I have not. Also I tried going through the threads but could not really understand half the things being said.
Help.

Can you get into the bootloader ? (hold power + vol down)? If the phone is untouched and not rooted perhaps a factory reset will fix it.
remember to hold the power + vol down for 10 seconds so that you boot into the boatloader

I can get into bootloader. As I have said it said "locked" :/
I did try factory reset but nothing happens. And when i put it in recovery mode it just gets stuck again on load screen
If the phone is still factory stock untouched just return it under warranty. Let t-mobile deal with it

Im currently using cyanogen mod 10.0 and have been for over 2 months now. I have not encountered any problems in the past. This morning I turned on my phone and started to listen to music, mid way through "origami" by capital cities, everything went black. I left my phone charging all night and it wont show any signs of power when I hold down the lock button or even the lock+volume down buttons. I hope this doesnt mean I need to Jtag my phone...
There are many reported DNA power failures, you should return it if you bought it first hand. Otherwise you will have to try to fix or replace it.

So, I posted about this before and got no responses. I basically wrote my DNA off as officially dead, but I'd like to try to fix it if I can.
My DNA randomly started restarting as if the power button were being held down. It would turn off, turn on, start loading the "HTC" splash screen/boot animation and then the capacitive buttons start flashing as if the power button is being held down, and the phone will turn off, and start the cycle again.
I popped the power button off and cleaned up anything going on down there, but even with the power button off it was still doing this. My phone is way beyond a warranty, and I'm pretty handy. I feel confident disassembling this phone and reassembling it if there is a way to fix this. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? That I break my phone? LOL
I've seen other people with this issue but they never got to the point of fixing it because they either had insurance, or a warranty. I've never used cases, and I've never really dropped the phone. It just randomly started happening.
So, what can all of the bright minds at XDA tell me?
I severed my power cable on mine. Just kept it on, then one day it shut off. Couldn't get it back on. It got lost in shipment giving it to someone for parts
In short, don't do what I did as a quick fix.
