Is there a way to check the mAh the battery has? On my N1, I can run an ADB command. Is the same true on the Eris? I want to see the mAh of different batteries.
Thanks

That is not what I'm asking for. I'm asking for an ADB command or app that can view the CURRENT mAh in the battery.
Ohh, my mistake. Disregard that then.
anyone?

Well, this won't help for the mAh but you can get some other battery information by typing in *#*#4636#*#*
Hope that helps you some....
Bump..........
BatteryLife 1.3.3 from curvefish tells me the temperature of my battery and how many mV it has left but not the mAh

Just posting to get opinions on after market batteries. I have owned the Atrix 4G since the day it came out with no complaints whatsoever. The battery life seems to be comparable to my old iPhone 3g (which i hated) but because the Atrix is so much better I obviously have it opened and am using it a lot more.
-Is it worth it to buy the optional extended batteries?
-Are they bigger that OEM batteries?
-How much longer is the battery life?
-If so, I assume my current Otter Box would not fit?
Thank you for the help.

The largest is a Seidio (which I dont think is out) it's only a 2200 MAH, compared to our 1900 (ish) MAH. I got a new replacement from moto because my battery life wasn't lasting as long as it was when i first bought it. Turned out I actually had the wrong battery mode on and it was using up too much power.
I have the 3600 mah, and while its big and you can't use a phone, it makes it easier to hold the phone imo, and lasts all day easily.

Userid moretalktime on eBay sells custom TPU cases the atrix with the extended battery installed.

My review with heavy usage says you'll last forever. Now I squeeze a day and a half with stock battery. That battery pushes me several.

do you have a prob where the % do not reflect the actual battery usage? my battery can show 30% but after a reboot it will show 100%. I can do a reboot twice before it shows the actual %
I can confirm CEOGUY's report on the Seidio3200. It is indeed a beast.
I too experienced the battery calibration problem. I am now using the latest Battery Monitor Widget. Something was fixed in a recent update that allows the calibration to work correctly.

Does the battery req a special charger? Or just charging direct from the phone will be sufficient
No special charger, I use the OEM one.

Quick question for everybody; I am using a solar charger to run some charging tests on my phone and I was wondering if there was a battery monitoring app that measured charging mA actively and not every 10-20 secs etc. Thanks in advance for replies. Also, I have battery monitor widget but can't find a way to configure it to update the mA faster.
I believe the fastest update with mA measurement is watchdog.
I downloaded the app and only see options regarding CPU usage and the alike. Are these options only in the paid version of the app?
Battery monitor pro. They have a free version. And you can have it update like every 30 sec if you want.
I just bought battery monitor widget and it doesn't seem to have an options to change the update frequency. If there isn't an app that can accomplish this, maybe I will switch over to an amp meter

nice battery, where did you get it?
Hey, i got this battery too and he didnt work for me. I had the same battery life as the stock battery.
LG
Ah,the placebo effect (or marketing interests?)...He has a 14% drain of battery from screen, less than half of phone idle, it means he did not use it as he says he did. If you do some research you will find out that there realistically is no way of getting more power out of a battery without increasing its size, there are some 1500 (advertised) capacity batteries which show that they are slightly bigger in size barely fitting in, but also on those users report amperes lower than what displayed...Many batteries out there are fakes...
My solution in battery problem
There is one viable solution from my point of view. Two extra batteries + charger. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-1200mah-...448706?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab2080042). It just works for me.
That was my setup with Xperia X10 Mini Pro! 2 Deji batterys plus the original! I think I'll go again for the Deji in my Mini Pro. I was very satisfied with those.
Here's the link
the bigger mAh, then bigger size the batt is. am i correct?

Check out "android tuner" by 3C. If you have battery monitoring on it will tell you everything you want to know about your battery. You can even name and save different batteries to compare their stats.
As someone who has a 5200, don't at all be hopeful it's going to report anywhere near 5200. The most I've seen is a report of about 3800 on mine. And that was a few weeks ago. These batteries degrade alarmingly quickly.

To be honest, I don't know. I've seen it twice, and both times I was not looking for it. Every time I've set out to find it, I have NO clue where I was. I don't know if it was some app I had installed for a short time and the mah reporting was a bi-product. I honestly do not know. I know I've seen it. I know one time i was like 3700 and another time it said like 38 and some change. But, that's it.
I don't believe an app that is simply installed can determine mah.
The rating is an expression of the amount of time it takes to drain a battery by using a known load. I know some calibrating apps will try and determine the mah after the user inputs various stats and after a period of usage will try to estimate the value.
Let me know if you remember the app, thanks.
