I want to share a couple of splash screens I have. I am not sure if they work, since they come from the Vox and HTC Rom Tool complains they are too small, so please test and report back.
First one is the original from the Asian Rose ROM, so there should be no problem with this one (use this as a backup)!
Since splash maker doesn't work under a 64-bit OS I cannot make new splashes at the moment, I have to install Windows 7's XP-mode again.
NOT WORKING:
Click the images for the files
...and remember:
This was a lot of hard work and I don't even have the phone, so please:
reserved for updates
mssplash.exe (second) not working , some stange pixels show up on first splash screen.
Yeah, I was afraid that would happen.
Now we have to find a method for making splash screens.
original.exe is working others dont

I was having problems with my Wizard, so I flashed the Wizard Love rom and everything worked. But now, whichever rom I flash to my phone, my phone boots the Wizard Love screen and then the boot screen for that rom. Also, when the rom is loaded, there is a red, yellow, and grren line on the top-left of my phone.
I have flashed my phone with hspl and tried flashing other roms and I still get that colorful line on my phone.
How can I remove this line as well as the Wizard Love boot screen?
Also, is there any other methods of flashing roms onto my phone without using Shelltool?
RUU doesn't work for me for some reason.
Is there a way to get RUU to work with my G4 hspl flashed phone?
Thanks
EDIT:
So is this line on the top of my phone the battery life?
EDIT 2:
OK, so I managed to Flash my phone with RUU and now there is no more Wizard love Boot Screen.
Can you ellaborate at all, I would like to know how to change this as well please.
Ok, the red, yellow, and green line is (probably) a battery indicator. It's one of several different programs. You can disable it by deleting anything in \Windows\Startup\ with the word (or part of the word) battery in it. Usually it's DCIBattery or Batti. Most cooks are including one version or another, so I'm not surprised you keep getting it. If you're still seeing that line with the OEM ROM installed, then your display may be hosed (that's not the technical term, of course...).
You can change the boot screens to anything you want, without having to flash a whole ROM. It's kind of nice, since my OEM ROM is the hideous old Cingular boot screens. See this thread for details:
Badbert's Custom WIZARD BootScreen Store!! - xda-developers
I have read much of the splash screen thread, but still have some questions. It seems as though there are a lot of different splash screens based on where in the startup process you are. I have never managed to change the Energy ROM splash screen I once installed, and it shows at the very beginning when I start the machine. This I installed through "Custom_RUU". Recently I installed "silentP Splash Screen" through a cab and that only put a picture up later in the startup screen, but did not change the Energy ROM splash screen in the beginning.
I would like to have the "silentP Splash Screen" as my only splash screen and to have it shown in the very beginning. How can I do this?
'splash.nb' Something you have to flash to your ROM.
there is only one "splash screen" this is the first one you see when u switch ur fone on that says touch pro ... this is stored on the devices ROM so to replace it, a new one has to be flashed, the other 2 the animated HTC one can be easly replaced by replacing the Animated.gif file in the windows directory the same goes for the windows loading screen, just replace welcomehead.192 and to replace the sound just replace BootUpHTC.wav
The very very 1st image has to be burnt into your phone similar to burning a ROM. Except that it only replaces the Splash Screen.
This link has a bunch of prebuilt splash screen to choose from.

I also built like 8 of them one day when I was bored.

I am not sure of the naming convention for these things so bear with me.
There are two splash screens when I turn on my Leo.
The first one is presently the 'Stick Together' one.
The second is a 'windows' screen.
My leo vibrates during the first splash screen.
I did have a stock rom 1.66. I saw only the stock htc 'quietly brilliant'? splash.
The I got the Tmobi rom, 2.13? i think.
Hence the 'stick together' splash.
I now have Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.21909.5.0.93_2.14_Nu_Era_576MB_V2_WWE.
Hence the 'windows' splash.
I don't like the 'stick together' splash at all (understatement).
I got BsB Tweaks 1.6.cab and disabled the animation for boot.
I have searched this leo forum and found a couple of items in relation to these splash screens. One even made reference to having a sound played during boot.
Unfortuately neigher of these worked for me.
So ... would it be possible for some people to make a sticky devoted to just these items please?
I do need the steps laid out, as many others might also, so that a noob like me can follow them.
fyi. i used HSPL3_PKG.exe for the rom changes, taking the 2.08? without the .000 option. leo seems to work well atm.
the first part is flashed directly to teh phone, just like a rom or radio. The second, animated part, also where the sound can play(i think) and the third part, are part of the rom you have flashed. This means if the rom you flash doesnt also contain part 1, you will be left with whichever splashscreen flashed last.
HERE's a good example of the three parts (plus sound),
or HERE for details on how to make your own.
I now see 3 images or splashes.
i've just done a task29 and reload of dutty rom.
I see tmobo, htc and dutty.
thanks for the links.
I will take a crack at it again soon.
Hi I am very new to these forums and the HD2. Today I decided to hspl3 my device and it was successful and i also updated my radio to 2.12.50.02.2 from 2.07.51.22.2. With all that i decided to run android froyo sense v2.4 by run the clrcad and haret. Since i started the haret the phone showed a little text at the top then the HTC Logo (green on black) has been there for 30min +. I dont really know if its supposed to do that as ive seen videos where it has the linux penguin at the top with text.
(As im not really familiar with terminology) is running android flashing or something else? I would also like to know if i have done something wrong as i really would like to run android on it.
Thanks if you can help figure out what ive done wrong.
+ i don't know if this helps but would i have to have a custom rom to use android?
1st- No .. It's not mandatory to flash a custom rom (But it's Recommended)
For the Android, Did you change the included kernel ? Because sometimes it may make android not to boot .
But if you copied Android folder as it is then try to format your sd card then delete the "Data.img" created inside Android folder and try again .
hey, i dont wanna warum up this theme, but before i start a new thread i rather post in a thread that is about the same problem ^^
(in first of all, im german and my english is good, but not the best ^^ so im sorry for some incorrect sentences or sense )

and as you may think, my handy stucks after the executes linux code on the green HTC Logo. No one could help me, so im asking for the pro's in this forum for some answers.
Is it may possible, that every 3.14 rom makes problems with android?

and i hope you could help me, solve this problem

Hello guyz,
I followed the guide form here, after 3 days of struggle finally it generated cm-10.1-20130802-UNOFFICIAL-shooter.zip file in the output directory. And then I flashed it to my evo but it just switching off a few seconds after htc logo.
I have uploaded zipped file which consists of all the files generated in this process, if any person have any idea on how to fix it please help me.
Download from here
Edit: Today I have flashed along with pre-compiled raring-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip, now the device is not switching off but stays at black screen with LEDs on.
should this be here as it's not complete..

I felt same as you while posting this thread, but as porting of ROMs comes under development category I opened up a new thread under development forum. I think any ROM which works or not should be under development forum to get help from devs to get issues fixed.
If any moderator feel that it is inappropriate to post this thread here, please kindly move it to the correct location.
Thank you.
There is no bootanimation for Ubuntu. It boots the splash screen, then it goes to a black screen for awhile on my N7. The black screen is the boot animation screen more or less. And it depends on what build you try. One day it boots, the other day it jumps me back to the multirom screen. I'm sure it would infinitely reboot if I wasn't multirom-ing. I'm dual booting using THIS method, therefor it doesn't wipe everything and I can bounce back to a more stable android. Ubuntu will be kick ass when it hits hard. I can already see a bunch of benefits.
If we wait for more time does it display any UI? What might preventing the device from successful boot? Did it ever made to its desktop?
BTW thank you for your link, I'll try to dual-boot along with android.

Not sure for this phone, try it? The N7 booted up. My phones hanging on to it's last breath, I'm not gonna push it anymore then I have too. Ubuntu runs off the normal android kernel, not an Ubuntu version. So I'd say kernel would have a lot to do with it working or not. The .img files they have are bootloaders, so that may be an issue. Although the ubuntu boot img isn't needed, the android one works. The version I got to work was the "saucy" July 27th or 28th build, haven't tried anything after that. That specified dual boot only works for some Nexus devices. Can't remember how long it took to boot, I'd assume as long as any normal initial boot of a rom. I would go to another forum where it has been ported, and ask/read hard there. Good luck.
