...............or do I need a cooked ROM to enable the feature?
After reading hundreds of pages over the last week I can't find an answer to this question here, can anybody help me?
I would really like not to have too changed the ROM for just one feature that if it came with a significant increase in speed I guess that would make my mind up.

Deeply sorry, may be this is a selly question, but i have no time to get inform myself. I have a PDA2k of my big boss only for one day, he is highly frustrated from its problems. Is there any other ROMs that i can flash it to enhance its functionality, and if answer is yes, is there the same problem of country ID, and can i solve it with the same tools of XDAII>

I-Mate released a patch today, that is supposed to resolve a lot of the bluetooth issues. You may want to look into that first. The link has been posted on this forum.
hello, ive been looking thru the forums at the wm2003se roms and im starting to get confused with which one is the best and most stable, there seems to be soo many different verions with so many different extended roms, could someone please tell me which is best wm2003se and extended rom to use please? im on the orange network in the uk )
I too am confused on which one is the best for me. I have a Qtek 2020 and I need an english/USA version. Rom vs. 1.72.00WWE Radio vs. 1.14.00. Please advise me which one will work the best for me.

There is NOT such thing as the BEST ROM/Ext ROM! It's a matter of taste and needs.
If you made a bit of research, you'll find the qualified opinions of the most experienced users and developers around, and should make your choices: BT Sync? HandsFree profile? Handwriting recognition? Your preferred language? Intellipad? VoiceDial? Landscape? and the hundreds of documented bugs!
My advice: get ONLY what you need. The farther you go, the greater are the chances for something to fail.
Our machines are great, but UNSUPPORTED.

Which ROM
Impossible to say which is the best for you really, all of the most recent releases are stable, fast and come with a built in selection of applications and ROM specific tweaks. The "which is the best ROM" threads tend to go on without any resolution, we all have our favorite! There are some ROM polls kicking around that are worth getting a feel for whats popular, i would suggest reading those and then trying a few of the popular ones. I went through three before deciding on one i was happiest with.
There are flavours of ROM's being released left right and centre these days, do a spot of reading over at the cooked ROM's depository and check out the Wiki page for all the information you need:

I've got a few quick questions here: I notice some Hermes devices are shipped with WM5 and some with WM6. (please answer as many or as few questions as you can every little titbit of info greatly recieved!)
1. Mine came with WM5. Are there any advantages to upgrading to WM6?
2. I like the cooler 3D startmenu that I've seen on some other people's devices - I'm assuming this is a WM6 feature? Is it possible to get this without upgrading?
3. I'm worried about losing my programmes when doing any rom upgrades from here (been looking at a few of the cooked ones) will my registry remain in tact? If not is it possible to back up the registry and restore it?
4. I tried to perform a backup (been meaning to do it for ages) with activesync...........and discovered the function doesn't exist on the new version??? (I could do it with my blueangel!). Can I still do this?
5. What is SuperCID? I've seen it mentioned a few places? Does it tell you the location of incoming calls?
6. Lastly (and I appreciate this is a bit off-topic) does anyone know any good skinning software for PPC? Something like WiseBar but preferibly free ;-) and with good memory usage

I have been reading all of this stuff in search of these answers for quite some time now. Suffice it to say that dyslexia and encroaching anatomy exams (the life of a medic is full of these things) it's difficult to find time to read all of that ;-)
Any help anyone can give on any one of these points would be greatly recieved and I appologise and sympathise greatly with the attitude which creates the 'do a search' mentality so pervasive on the forums - the same things do come up all the time.

Someone is working on it, search for the thread in the dev section.
No its nowhere near working, its not even booting at the moment.
And it probs wont be usable for a very long time.
