I successfully put Gullum's V5 Touch ROM on my Jamin and I have been using it since it came out which is a few weeks I think. Today I went to reset it and it's just stuck at Gullum's grey themed Prophet Touch the boot screen.
Does anyone know why that would happen after using it no problem for a while? Can I get any of the info on it back as I didn't syncronize it for a week. I'm guessing a Hard reset will do the job but now I don't trust the ROM if it just randomly locks up.
why didnt you flash to v6 instead?make sure you do step 1 first then proceed to doing step2.gullum is one of the best.beta testers rules!

My advice: look an search a bit more before you start a new thread. There is one (very heavy) allready about this topic. There's even an tips and tricks Wiki-page that makes notice of this problem.
My personal solution: don't restart with the cube active.
It's difficult to search threads that have pages and pages of information. My eyes can only take so much scrolling. And even using the right combination of words to search for is the next thing to be successful at. Anyways I don't want to argue with you as I have been trying to keep up with information as some of you more 'experience' have learned and retained.
I always downgrade before I upgrade and I have done it many times as ROMs just keep coming out by the week!
I'm just wondering if there is anyway to get my Pocket PC back up and running to at least get an excel spreadsheet that is in internal memory. If not then I will suck it up and hard boot it. I'm just confused why a soft reset lead to a full boot screen freeze after countless soft resets before.

As about your wish to backup from the bootscreen (if I understand you correctly) I really don't know, never heard nor red about it.
But I did read that someone managed to start up again by removing his SD card, perhaps worth trying.
Hi everyone. Ive had the HD2 ever since it came out. I was having lots of problems with the phone freezing constantly from the day I got it. I bought it maybe two weeks after Tmobile released it. I did the upgrade ... found some things worked a little better ... but still, this freezing situation is ridiculous. I get 2 texts at a time, or maybe a text and my email coming through ... and the phone vibrates for about 1 - 2 minutes .... then it will freeze once I check the message.
Anyways.... another problem is me syncing it to my computer..... I cannot open it in my Windows Mobile Center. I'm running off of Windows 7 professional. I cannot do anything to sync it to the computer so I can "flash my rom" (which I honestly don't really understand that concept jsut yet) ... I know you all probably get this from so many people ... but I honestly need help. I'm not that technologically UNADVANCED .... so I know that these problems aren't user caused ... please help me...
Hi, maybe im in the wrong Thread or in the right dunno
Well the point is that im new in Android, my device is a HTC Touch Pro 2 Spint CMDA. I made a search in the web about Android and i like the "theme" of a new SO and decided to try it.
First Devs was without everything, i mean, no data, no signal, no sound... and more and more. But now are totally different, and first i would like to say thanx to the Developers cause i know that some times are so much troubles and time.
The point off this is that i have some problems with a particular Development, and i said "particular" cause i have been trying most of his develops and like it to much, are faster and smoth dont make my mobile gets slowly like other. But well to much i think so lol.
A few days ago i was using my mobile and the android just reboots itself and starts again , just starts and reboot again and again, and again so the question is...
Anybody knows a reason or why? or where the problem is? and the most important could somebody explain me why this happens to understand the reason and later no ask again lol.

Long time lurker. I'm no programmer and so thought I'd have nothing usefull to say aside from inane comments about upcoming projects just creating more mess to read through.
So now is my time to shine, well, what i mean is ask you guys for help. so here goes.
Firstly I'd like to make it clear this problem occurs when my phone is unplugged from usb...
Ok so every time i flash something to my phone, (either a rom or a radio) my Wifi will work just fine for around a day, and then packs up. It greys out, and on the comm manager screen it will not switch back on. Hd2 thinks about it for a few seconds, and then gives up. I've gone to every single settings page where turning Wifi on is an option, and still it lies there dead. Just to clarify, I'm not turning Wifi on and not finding any networks, or only certain networks,,, the adapter simply will not turn on.
If common sense serves me well, this feels like something is messing with my radio rom after installation. The same happens when booted into android, so i don't think it's an OS issue.
I've tried as many different Rom and Radio combinations as i feel is necessary to figure out that I need to ask you guys.
Any help would be highly appreciated as I love this phone (got it a couple of weeks ago) and even enjoy trying to figure out all the problems it seems plagued with but just can't figure this one. I live in england a bought a TMOUS on ebay so that's my model.
P.S I searched and searched and searched before posting and only found one other thread with this problem but it never really came to fruition.

i installed lg bridge, after messing with the sim card and battery and sd card a bunch, i finally got it to go to the firmware update screen. lg bridge said the phone was updated and it recognized the device for a minute.. so i went to error recovery and it started but got paused at 46% with an error a few times. the screen on phone never went past 0%
i waited and waited and waited and nothing.
tried plugging and unplugging and nothing happening.
now the computer wont recognize it again and the phone will do absolutely nothing

i have had my v10 bought it preowned in october 2016. no problems. i was going to root and rom it, but found it to be much more difficult than the g2 or my friends phones that i would play with.. i never had any issues so i never did it. the newest update came out and i updated it. still no problems. i did notice my battery drains really fast.. but it is not swollen. i have been on the newest update for at least a month. i moved from texas to hawaii 2 months ago.
i was at the beach and wanted to take a picture. i took the picture, then used the power button to shut the screen off. a minute later i wanted to take another picture, but the screen wouldnt turn on... at all. so i held the power button down and it turned off.... but now it wont turn back on. i tried removing the battery and get nothing. i get nothing when i plug it in to charge it. however if i take the sim card out and put it back in, then put battery back in then plug it in, it will show the screen that is the empty battery with the circle thing for only a moment then shut back off. it was early in the day when i went to take the pic and should have had about 80% battery.
again i have had zero problems from my phone. i try holding volume down and power button and i get nothing.
i just moved to hawaii and dont have the money to buy another phone right now
i have to figure this out. im always the friend that fixes peoples phone so i figure i can get this done.
in tmobile store after removing and replacing the sim we were able to get the lg load screen then it shut off.
then switched it with my daughters sim card and it took me to the lg load screen then the white tmobile screen... then it shut off.
any fixes for this? i have to drive all the way to the other side of the island to buy a battery which i was thinking might work .. but there are no signs on m y current battery that it is bad .. other than knowing it is a year old. i have always been careful with it to try to let it charge fully and not always plugging it in and out.

and you expect the forum to fix hardware flaws?
so your saying this is only a hardware issue? My phone was working fine until I got that update to 7 and then after that it started randomly rebooting periodically and then this last time it went off and came on with that green screen. also, the phone would work for a while once I got the software and reinstalled it manually, but you never knew how much time you had,, a day, maybe two, or an hour or two. And this is purely a hardware issue is what you're saying? Sorry for the redundancy of the questioning. just trying to grasp a better understanding. But to answer your question about expecting this forum to fix my issue is not necessarily about what was said more so how it was said considering the wealth of knowledge and expertise that this form is comprised of for somebody to only suggest changing Hardware as a easy way out with no information given answer, as opposed to saying "hey that can't be fixed because it's a hardware issue and something is burned up or broken on your motherboard somehow"! That is more what I expected.

Look, the issue is a common error and you're not the only one to have had dealt with it. They all got the same answer and either they fixed it themselves (you can go to YouTube for that) they adapted and came up with a workaround (again, YouTube it) or they moved on to a new phone.
What do you expect? You're either gonna have to do some work, or spend some money. Either way, they told you what you need to know.
bootloop on which version of firmware you have if on nought then we are on same boat....
want to boot your device for 5-10 minutes??? put it in a freezer for 10-15 minutes....

You just dismissed what could've been a completely insightful discussion. If you think he's just asking for help, you've greatly missed the point. We also want to know the what and the why. Like why does this happen and what is causing it? Is that not the purpose of forums? To discuss a topic freely through community input?

Came here two years later to say the exact same thing. Not that the forum owes anyone anything, but it's frankly quite boorish to dismiss a perfectly reasonable question by using semantic stop signs.
