ello world.
im writing an app that could light up custom trackball led notifications for defined apps.
without modifying system jar files/rooting that is.
right now i found a way to intercept ANY notification being showed in the status bar. all works fine with all 3rd party apps.. led blinking fast (even on froyo), custom intercepts, custom colors etc..
BUT the progs i need most - gmail gtalk and phone dont have an option to disable native led blinking.. so i can catch them but cant override the default slow-only-one-ugly-color blinking..
ive been thinking about
1) cancel ALL notifications before calling mine (cant find a way to do it + need the one in the status bar to stay)
2) decompile the damned ones (dont like it)
3) force led off.. (again donno the method)
any help will be appreciated.. tnx
IHardwareService hidden api also didnt work (
is it even possible to FORCE led OFF?
Try asking lillhermet (sp?) the creator of Trackball Alert?

Hi everyone,
I searched the web for quit a time now, but did not find anything to answer my question:
Is there any way to disable the icons in the notification bar which appear while apps running in background without losing their full funktion?
For example I have an "Anti-Virus Program", "LBE Security Master" an "Tasker" running in Background. There a little Icons shown in the Status-Bar and big notifications when I pull down the notification bar. Of course many apps have an option to disable this, but they tell me that they won´t work right anymore if I would disable that. Since Jelly-Bean, I think, there is a way to disable notifications from every app but same thing here - apps seem not to work right anymore.
Is there a way to get rid of the icons or the big notifications without losing their funktion?
Thanks for answers
GP
Really no one has that problem?
This is a very good forum but sadly in very most cases no one answers...
Hi,
I had recently "lost some pixels" in my Sony Xperia due to a fall - they are all located on the top of the screen.
On the one hand, nothing serious has happened and so the phone is fully functional.
EXCEPT for the top row of pixels, where (thanks to the developer tools) there is no response - It doesn't
identify me touching the screen there.
I'm looking for a simple app that simply lowers the notification bar when pressing it. That's all.
I actually found some (i.e.Open Notification Bar app)
but for some odd reason, they all require internet access.
Why would anything like that require internet access?!
Can anyone supply a simple apk that does the minute and simple action of opening the notification bar via app icon?
Thanks.
I want to disable the notification shade entirely as its very irritating mid game. sometimes even pulls down the whole notification area since I use claw many buttons near the top of screen.
google only give solutions to disable notifications not the bar itself.
im currently unrooted and on stock rom don't mind unlocking and flashing if necessary.
I use full screen mode with gestures not buttons like shown in screenshot, enabled for getting using screenshot shortcut only (by long press back button)
Hi guys maybe this had already been discovered but I have found a way to get in screen led notifications plus you can choose the colour required to. Simply install the app I will link from Google play and configure to as you like and allow required permissions. Also make sure to disable battery restrictions.. it is working very well.

Does the LED notification light not work? Mine only ever shows when the phone is plugged in. I can't get it to flash when I have notifications, even though all settings in Android settings seem to be turned on

The problem is due to all the PER-app notification permissions. (I was missing notifications all the time. )
The next time you miss a notification: (Instructions are for MIUI12 but should be similar for MIUI1. I think the upgrade may have also reset some of the notification settings):
Swipe down on the status bar from the top left.
Long-press on the notification that you missed.
Click MORE SETTINGS. (The app in question will display.)
Ensure "Show Notifications" is enabled.
Allow Sound, Vibration, LED.
Below Notification Categories, press on one of the notification sub-categories:
Ensure "Show Notifications" is enabled for the sub-category. Change "Importance" to Default or High. (If it is "LOW", the other options are disabled.)
Change the notificaiton SOUND, Vibration, LED as desired.
If the missing notification isn't appearing in the status bar or if you want to fix the problem with other apps, you will have go to SETTINGS | NOTIFICATIONS and find the app yourself.
tried all the above...still does not work
Today: Poco X3 PRO + MIUI 12.5.1 and still the same problem. How could it be broken for so long? Maybe no one cares
