Sprint phone unlocked to different Carrier, now back to Sprint? - Touch Pro CDMA

Hey everyone, have have an odd question. I work for Sprint in Arizona and had a customer come in with a Sprint phone that had been unlocked to work with a local carrier. They now want to bring the phone back over to sprint but the pro-gramming won't seem to take. The phone will receive calls but the data and out-going calls will not work.
Any help is really appreciated,
Thanks!

I would suggest to relock it an and flash it to the stock rom. Hope this helps

[Q] Unlocked HTC One (M8) on AT&T

If you need support with an unlocked device will AT&T help you or do you need to go through HTC directly?
I spoke with AT&T customer service and they said they will only help you fit the SIM card, for anything else you have to go directly through HTC.
I spoke with HTC and they said for any problems with connecting to the network you have to go through AT&T.
I'm used to buying the phone directly from the carrier and getting support from the carrier for all phone and network issues.
I really don't want all the bloatware and I want to get updates fast but I don't want to get a headache if problems arise.
I can see having to go back and forth between HTC and AT&T if I have a problem.
Anyone have any experience with an unlocked HTC device on ATT?
AT&T won't support your phone hardware wise. If you end up breaking your phone you would have to use HTC warranty and send it in for repair.
Far as network related issues. AT&T has a certain extent to where they could help you. Unlocked phones radios are sometimes optimized different than carrier branding ones. You will have to make sure the unlock phone you are using supports AT&T network bands. You won't have a problem getting a sim card
If your experiencing drop calls or slow download speeds etc. AT&T will check your area and see if it's a tower issue. Most the time they would blame it on you having a unlocked phone.
Also you might have to update the phone APN's to play nicely with the network far as data
Hardware/Software issues - call HTC
Network issues - Call AT&T but be prepared

[Q] htc one sprint downgrade

how i can downgrade my htc one sprint from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2 to unlock it for gsm ??
You would have to S-Off to be able to do that. Is this for the Sprint version? If so, the international unlock works well, but if you want to use it in the US, you will most likely have a lot of connection issues trying to stay connected to the towers when you move. It likes to drop off and you have to reset it a couple of times to get service back. Very frustrating. If you don't have the Sprint version, disregard.
same problem

SMS problem on Cricket 4G with SCH-i545 on OTA OC1

So about a week ago I switched from Verizon to Cricket with my SCH-i545 that I foolishly updated to OC1 through OTA before leaving Verizon *doh, what a dummy I am*. I have had a persistent problem with sending SMS messages when connected to 4G LTE and I am not sure what else to do, here's what i've done up to this point.
1. Checked and rechecked a thousand times the APN settings of the phone, they are exactly as listed on the Cricket site.
2. Contacted customer support VIA zendesk, checked my APN settings again, had the customer service member "refresh" the signal to my cell phone and after that didn't work he shipped me a new SIM card because I wasn't able to access the "message centre" to check my SMSC number like you can on most S4's due to VZW's restrictions (cant access it through dialer codes either, those are also restricted). Got the new sim, he activated it, still doesn't work.
So, I guess my question comes down to, HOW IN THE WORLD can I view and edit my SMSC number is that is the culprit (which I think it might be). My wife has ZERO troubles with her phone and has the exact same setup except she didn't upgrade (thankfully) to Lollipop OC1.
Hopefully someone out there has dealt with this already and I have just missed it although my search hasn't turned up anything. Sorry that i'm not more well versed in the lingo for this type of stuff, and I hope my post is easy enough to understand.
I really hope I won't have to just get a new phone.
Me too
Stuck in the same boat as you. Either waiting for T-Mobile to release their lollipop update or hope for a root so we can get back off the OC1 update. Luckily my GF has a backup phone while we wait for people smarter than us to come up with a fix

Yep, I just wish I could LOOK AT the SMSC number, that would at least tell me if that is what the problem is or not.
That or disable the freaking 4G LTE so I can send a message. Never again will I OTA an update, lesson learned. Thing is that my wife is on the EXACT same setup, just with the old kitkat instead of lollipop and her SMS works just fine on the same S4 on 4G LTE. Sigh, IDK.
SCH-I545 + Lollipop + Cricket = No outgoing text + no keytones from dialer
Had same issue + no keytones on dialer so can't check VM. I just about bricked my phone trying to resolve it and lost the mk2 BL in the process, could not go back to JB or KK. This was a disaster. I found elsewhere people taking their SCH-I545 to TMobile has same issue. My only conclusion is that the VZW firmware nazis clamped down harder and harder with every OTA until you can't take your phone elsewhere. My XO with identical phone is still on JB with Hyperdrive and has no issues. I won't be upgrading her phone.
I am just about ready to go office space gangster on my VZW + Samsung product. My only recourse with this phone is to get Google Voice, which I have done for exactly $0. On a Cricket group plan with 5 people I only pay $24/mo for 2.5GB of data so if you have 4 people you trust to pay their bill on time there is no better deal. We'll see if that is enough with GV, it probably will be. So all Cricket is to me now is an LTE service and I can use any carrier and my carrier number doesn't matter anymore, it's just a gateway. So if you don't mind assimilating into the Borg GV has some real benefits and will resolve this VZW issue.
In the meantime, I am setting aside the $ I save on Cricket and I will buy an unlocked phone from HTC or LG or Moto when it is time and go CM and never look back.
I'm in the exact same situation with VZW GS4 going to Cricket. Unless I had a lapse in reality, I got an SMS/MMS to go through the very first attempt and not since. That makes no sense. I still receive SMS. And, I get calls. But, sometimes outgoing calls try to send as International.

Flashing to another Carrier's firmware using an unlocked phone

Hey,
I don't know if this is too device specific, but I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955U). It was originally AT&T, though I got it unlocked the day I purchased it. I use it with T-Mobile now, and I never was able to update my phone since I switched. Turns out, it was because you can only do so using AT&T activated SIM cards. Literally had to get a prepaid to update it.
My questions is: Since I have an unlocked phone and use it with T-Mobile, is it possible for me to flash T-Mobile's firmware updates to my phone without consequence instead of having to get an AT&T SIM card every time to get their firmware?
I did some research, but was not able to come up with a definitive answer. It would really save me a lot of trouble if such is possible.
If not, any other way I can update without having to get through AT&T's prepaid SIMs?
Really would appreciate any help given. This has been driving me insane.
Thanks!

Need Help with G9650 with ATT

My son has an S9+ G9560 on my ATT plan. He had to get a new SIMM. After getting the new simm he can''t get connection for calls or text or data.
He is in Texas, I'm not.
He was told by ATT, I have no idea how good the rep was, that ATT is no longer compatible with the international unlocked phone.
He has no experience with flashing anything with a phone. His software version is g9650zhu9FUE3, with a May 1 patch.
Broadband version g9650ZCU9FUE3.
Any ideas on what to do? Or is the ATT rep correct?
Thanks,
Have him call AT&T advance tech support, see if they will help.
Or have him go to a Best Buy, Samsung Experience center. They can flash stock roms.
Not sure if they will though because it's not what it was loaded with... they are sort of pricks.
Or maybe they can sort out the sim card issue.
