I tried some headphones I found from an old Mitsubishi Trium Galaxy and they work.
 They dont have an answer button, but if anyone can confirm that it also works that would help!
If no one has any, I can try in a week.
P.s. Tested nokia headphones..... all i got was some faint beeps.
Headset: speaker and mic?
Hello Spawner,
yes, that sounds good!! A Question: Do You have tested if the mic of the "galaxy" headset will work whit the mda/xda too?? I had the problem whit a self made adaptor, that the speaker will work whit a 4-pin jack, but the mic was dead. If You will give me an answer, i say thanks a lot and im looking for a headset to check the function. Then i can give You answer.
T H A N K S !!!!

The mic and headphone is working on my XDA I.
:? I do not know if it will work with the answer button on the headphone. I will know in a couple of days. I have seen headphones for the Mitsubishi for 2 or 3 €.

Fine !!!
Oh yeahh! Im searching for a headphone solution for month's, now ist's found! OK ... i will searching for an "galaxy" headset at my next dealer. What do You mean ... is it possible that a car-solution for the "galaxy" ("free speaking unit") will work whit the m/xda too???
For now i am happy to have a solution for a headset. THANKS a lot for Your information!!!!!
Markus
I only tried the headphone with no answer button
I havent tried the car solution.... but might work. Try before you buy it.
Anyone have something to add?
Headphone: TRIUM Galaxy and Plugs whit 2,5
Hello Spawner,
Hello forum!
now i came from my dealer. I buyed a headset for a Trium GALAXY (Comp. whit example Motorola L- M- V- T-Series, Nokia 8810, SAMSUNG SGH-A100/SGH-M100 or the Panasonic GD35/52/...). At first, it was cheap (4 Euro) and have no "Answer Button". Sorry! So i coud not say if this button will work. The Headset have a 2,5 Telephone Plug whit three pins! At first i was Shoked  , because i often heard, that this plug will not work in the MDA (MDA has 4 pins on the plug!). But i connect ist, and ... its work fine whit good sound on earplug an mic! !!! So i mean, that all headset whit this universal plug will work on MDA/XDA 1.
A question: I know that the german manufacturer THB (www.thb.de) had a free speaking unit called "ET 400" whit this 2,5 phoneplug! It was a plug an play thing you can use whit the same adaptors you use whit the universal headsets. Have someone tested this whit the MDA or knows someone how can test it???? I think this woud be an good ad cheap thing for the car.
Thanks for all informations!!!
Markus
hello
is there any solution to run FM radio without headset
i know that the headset is the Antenna
but if i am verry neer from the signal source (2m) i think that i did't need Antenna!!!
I really want to know if there's a way to use the FM Radio without the headset too.
FM Radio without the headset
+1
I would like to have it for a long time !
What I have, is the MiniUSB adapter for the headphones, so I can use ordinary headphones in the phone, this is identical to what I have:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Headphone-Ear...39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
When this is plugged in, even with no headphones plugged into the end, it still thinks the headphones are plugged in and therefore I can listen to the FM Radio out loud when this little adapter (about 2" long) is plugged in.
Hello,
Actually i think its a big problem....
I bought a Motorola S9 (bluetooth headphone), its arriving in a few days...and im concerned about this...
thats all
It'd be good if there could be a built-in ariel so that the headphones don't have to be the ariel. My iPod earphones are shocking.

Hi everyone
I use my Orbit II on my motorbike for phone and sat nav, although I have several batteries, just wondered if anyone has come across a method of charging and listening via wired headphones (maybe a "Y" splitter) would this work are they available
I cant be the only one that would like this.
Also has anyone came across a desktop battery charge so I can prep several batteries.
cheers for your time
Ston
I'm using mine on my bike too but for sat nav and music, not too fussed about phone, why not use a bluetooth headset instead of a wired one? What headset are you using?
Hi Ya
I use ear plugs and cant seem to find a bluetooth system that cancels wind noise as good so have some earbud earphones which work well
I should have done a search 1st cause have found this which does everything I want
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369243&highlight=charge
sorry for not searching

Yep, you can use the earbuds you have with a bluetooth reciever to eliminate the cable to your helmet, that's the way I'm gonna go. I found that the wind on the motorway destroyed one of my headphone cables at *slightly* above average speeds!
If your actually using it as a phone on the bike though what are you using for a mic?
y splitters won't work. TC doesn't support charging + listening, it makes a terrible noise.
guyz,,i have been wanting 2 get bluetooth headfones but i was wonderin if it wld drain the battery...i listen 2 muzic most of the tym in the day...so shld i go for norml headfones or bluetooth ones..(i jus really like nokia bluetooth headfones)
No issues with the phone battery as BT does not use that much power. My problem is with the BT headphones only lasting a few hours on a charge.

I have a pair of Nokia BH-505 and I must say, they are one of the best headphones I own. The only downside to them is you can't run with them. Battery wise the x10 sips while bluetooth is activated, pic of the Nokia's in the link.MW600 good too
Is it safe to use otg cable for charging my Bluetooth headset SBH50 on the go using my note 3 battery as charging sorce????
By the way, been using SBH50 for more than a month now have no problem recommending this device to anyone looking for a wireless Bluetooth option for cellular or audio listening needs I'm definitely impressed with its functionality and sound quality. However the battery charge do not last more than two days even without use at all (standby only) and less than one day with light use (about one hour calls) although sony says that SBH50 minimum Rated Talk Time: 8 hours, and Minimum Rated Standby Time: 400 hours
I don't know if it is my Headset problem or it is actual battery life for this type of sony headset ??
