[Q] how to install applications on SD card

Hi all,
I just brought the LG Optimus One P500 this afternoon and thanks for great info in XD. I managed to rooted the device so smotthly
Question:
after rooting, now how can install/move my applications to my SD card instead of the internal memory.
Previosuly on Samsumg spica there is a tool call App2SD, any similiar tools for LG Optimus One P500
Thanks
Do you want to install directly to the sd card or just to move them after being installed on the internal memory?
You can move apps around using Settings->Applications since FroYo can do that for you but not all apps can be moved just yet. Other apps can move them forcefully (I use Titanium Backup to do that).
If you want to install to the sd card directly, look for an app called apps2sd. I found it on the market a few months ago and it opened like the Settings menu. It will just ask you where you want apps to go to when you install them. It was really simple. Widgets wont work from the sd card though. Move them to the internal memory and reboot after if you have them on the sd card already.
and make sure you have a fast card if you want to install directly to the sd card.

[Q] Need help with app2sd on Cyanogen Froyo CM6(MiniCM/CM6v2) v2.5

I just installed a custom rom (cyanogen) on my mini pro for the first time and would love if someone would explain how to set up app2sd.
I have previously used link2sd before flashed this rom so i don't know alot about the "official" app2sd set up.
My sd card was already partitioned to work with link2sd, however when i try to move apps to sd via the application settings menu, it says there is not enough memory on the sd partition (not true)...
Help would be appreciated!
ps. i really don't want to format my sd again 'cus i have a lot of music and stuff on it. i didn't need to delete them when i partitioned my card before
if u have your sd card partitioned with a big fat32 and a small ext. Partition and both are primary then cyanogen will do everything by itsself. the only thing you can do is make sure that your setting for where apps are installed that its on automatic

Click to collapse
link2sd is better. why?
because link2sd can move the apk, lib, dex, data and cache of the apk to the sd card.
while move2sd can only move apk to to the sd card which still can make your phone memory decrease because of the cache, lix and deb of the apk moved to the sd card are still in phone memory.
here is the best guide i have used the whole time to partitioned my sd card to use link2sd

link2sd runs really great on X-ROM ICS. the best match i've seen in a while. no mounting or not linked problem.
