Hi all,
I just brought the LG Optimus One P500 this afternoon and thanks for great info in XD. I managed to rooted the device so smotthly
Question:
after rooting, now how can install/move my applications to my SD card instead of the internal memory.
Previosuly on Samsumg spica there is a tool call App2SD, any similiar tools for LG Optimus One P500
Thanks
Do you want to install directly to the sd card or just to move them after being installed on the internal memory?
You can move apps around using Settings->Applications since FroYo can do that for you but not all apps can be moved just yet. Other apps can move them forcefully (I use Titanium Backup to do that).
If you want to install to the sd card directly, look for an app called apps2sd. I found it on the market a few months ago and it opened like the Settings menu. It will just ask you where you want apps to go to when you install them. It was really simple. Widgets wont work from the sd card though. Move them to the internal memory and reboot after if you have them on the sd card already.
and make sure you have a fast card if you want to install directly to the sd card.
Hi guys !
I've got a problem => when i remove my microSD card and then insert it back to the device, some applications are broken ( i turn off my phone, before i remove SD card) - i can not start them,so i must install apps again. I've got two cards, and the problem is the same.
Specification :
SE Xperia X10 mini pro, U20i, firmvare version 2.1-update1, 2.1.1.A.0.6 ROOTed
SD card : microSDHC A-DATA 8Gb Class 6
What's wrong ? Please help me with this problem, and sorry for my english.
You should not remove the sd card if you have apps installed inside.... Your sd card partition is ALWAYS MOUNTED... So do NOT remove your sdcard from your phone or if you want to use diferent sdcards do NOT transfer your apps to your sdcard....

Click to collapse
So, isn't there any variant to solve this problem ? It is such uncomfortable, that i can't remove my sd card from the device. ( if i want to get it into USB card reader and so on)
I've got two partitions on my sd card, one for data, and one for applications, i use LINK2SD to install apps to my sd card.Yes, i can install apps to the internal memory, but there is just about 150Mb of free space.
Please,help me somebody.
Hi. I have bought a new SD card and i want to put it on my android.
I havde android 2.2+ so i have apps installed on SD card (not using app2sd, usign default android way).
I can make a backup of my SD card but not the apps there. I tried to find the partition where the apps should be (maybe a ext2 partition?) but i cant find it.
So, the question is, how can i replicate all my old SD card to the new SD card?
Thanks
If there is no ext2 partition then by default they should be in the .android secure folder but i dont think that simply copying the folder to the new sd will solve the problem because after you send an app to the sd, some of the data from the app still remains on the phone. Try copying the folder anyway and let me know if it works.

HI,
I am new to the android world and i have just gained up some knowledge and rooted my device.
I installed TWRP recovery and supersu. I downloaded GL to SD and transfered all my apps and games to the sd card.
Now i would like to upgrade my sd card to a higher capacity. i would like to know how to transfer the data safely to the new sd card.
As i am a newbee i'd like to get this explained. Or if i can just copy everything to pc and back to the new sd card.
waiting for a solution..!

just copy all things to new sd card or you can use a nandroid backup from recovery.
All my app data are in the SD card. Does 'nandroid' backup those in the SD card.

Hello, after hours of looking, and trying and researching, I have to ask for help.
I have a ROOTED Android 4.2.1 SONY Xperia SX (SO-05D).
I want to make all my installed apps, and future apps to be installed in the Micro SD Card I Installed (32GB).
In the root drive, there's a folder called: "ext_card" I tried moving things there manually and nothing.
I also tried manually in /sdcard/external_sd and nothing still.
I have tried the following apps:
App Manager
Force2SD
App Shifter
Folder Mounter
Link2SD
And nothing!
The only thing that's actually saving in the Micro SD are the Pictures I take, in the DCIM folder.
Can anybody help me please.
I do not want to save anything in the "internal storage", and also most of the apps only allow to move to the "SD" part of the internal phone memory, nothing is actually being moved or being installed in the Micro SD Card.
Please help!!!!!
