edit: Only live wall paper I saw on there is the maps. anyway we can add new ones our selfs. I like the nexus style.
After my first bootup...it's the stock non-3d launcher from eclair (think stock eclair on the Moto Droid)...I thought this had Launcher Pro/ADW?
Awesome job on this. Was just wondering. I flashed the eng-build and I'm slidemeroot2. Am I good to go to just update with just this zip? Or do I have to flash the eng-build again?

Im not a pro at OC but looking at spare parts now and the settings by default are the following
min cpu 245000
max cpu 998400
cpu gov ondemand
with that said does that mean our cpu is clocked at close to 1ghz similer to nexus one?
Rom is nice, but no Swype!!Can someone post instructions on how to install Swype?
And yeah we need to ask Eugene if its overclocked.
If its overclocked I will flash

Tip: Once someone comes up with a root injection kernel, get a system dump ASAP. Root that system image and find someone who hasn't obtained root via kernel injection to flash the rooted system image and dump your stock kernel.
Usually the first rooting of a GB device is via an insecure kernel - but then everyone wants to root by any means possible, so everyone blows away their stock kernel, making it hard to retrieve the stock initramfs.
Getting a good clean system dump AND a kernel dump will require at least two devices, and potentially one person willing to risk hosing their device until a good kernel dump can be obtained.
I'm debating whether to hit the AT&T store Sunday... I really shouldn't...

Can't Wait
Have you tried out the performance compared to your last phone? How fast is the HSPA+ ? I'm passing down my iPhone 4 to my wife and can't wait to get my hands on the GS2.

HSPA in Auburn, Alabama yesterday was 4889kbps down, 1104kbps up.
Speed
Thanks for posting the speeds, sounds great to me. The iPhone 4 download speed of 1958 kilobits per second so these speed s would be exceptional. Have you seen AT&T throttling in your area?

No. That will usually result in a dump that is missing files and has broken permissions. Especially if it's done without root permissions.
Been there done that with the Infuse.

Looks okay , But was hoping for more a Honeycomb GUI , as ive just got rid of a 2.3 Tablet to get the HP touch pad to flash to 3.0 but will 3.0 ever happen for the Touch pad ?
The general consensus seems to be that HC will not appear on the TP; as the source code was never released by Google.
What is more likely to happen is that 2.3.5 will be on the initial CM release for the Pad; with ICS being the next logical step, once it's released.
I may be wrong,
But I believe that is the long and short of it.
Hope this helps.
ugh! I would settle for 1.6 just so it is not the ugly webOS cripple.
I actually kind of like WebOS.
The not-having-multiple-screens-to-swipe-left-or-right thing takese a bit of getting used to (I'm not sued to it yet).
But I do like bouncing apps away, to close them.
That being said,
I definitely favor Android over all other O/S.

I am really hoping this progresses fast and works well. I actually enjoy webOS card system but the lack of apps is disappointing. I would much rather be able to run android on a card.
Either way though, I plan on installing android whether it's dual boot or via card.

The preware twitter feed, states that this app installs another kernel and that the un-instal option doesn't remove it.

I installed it and it works fine (for what works at least). Anyone know how to actually install another app into it? I downloaded an APK and put it in the apks folder (in webOS) but I don't know where to look for it within chroid. Is this even possible? The guide says you can do it.

if you want to O/C again, you have to doctor 3.0.2 back on, then redo the preware etc.
as for the apps, put them in that folder and they will auto install, thats what i did, and got titanium installed (even tho its useless/keeps crashing, i had it available)
3.0.3

Im runing the at (honeycomb) rom and using the market version.. this is the best rom from my experience but if u flash it u need too install lcd density changer and change the density too 240 otherwise when u get on the market alot of apps say not compatible with this device and wont let u download. Great rom i have zero problens with it very fast and stable. Over clocked too 1.3 ghz and loving it. My quadrant is consistantly over 4000

Huh you got it working on darkside? I didnt think it worked on that? I wonder if it has something to do with blur because both honeyatrix and darkside have quite a bit of blur in it still. The other roms I was using do not. How the hell could blur effect anything with a game running or not though?! That can't be it??
Edit: just flash the newest darkside and the game still freezes on it for me. Honeyatrix is the only one it runs on it seems for me...

You know what I think this game is a piece of ****! It stopped working on the honey atrix rom too after I added fauxs 1.45 oc kernel and uv values too it. Oh well maybe one day the dev of this game will fix it!
Anybody who likes this game and wants it running it runs perfectly on darkside 3.1.0 lite version! Awesome!
I'd love to know what the hell is causing it to freeze on practically every other rom though!? hmmm....

well i appreciate the entertainment. i helped entertain you in the troll thread, ty for returning the favor
i wanna try something that will seriously tax this thing as best as i can. most i have been able to do is install a ton of apps at once, and ill get a market FC or wait, but once i hit wait, it catches up. it only seems to happen when the app is being installed. we all know the prime has a slightly slow write speed on its internal flash. ill try some tegra 3 games, thats about the best idea i got lol
I've found the main trigger is during something intensive after its been on for a day or more and has changed wifi networks 2-3 times to change the orientation while its loading the market. Honestly they are pretty hard to crash if I didnt use it so much I might think it crashes too much but then I realizes its been running for 18 hours with notifications 10 apps background running and I decided to change the market orientation while installing two games and connecting to wifi...and reboot.

Why are you looking to force a reboot?. Use device as normal and see if it does. Any device will reboot if you tax it too much n runs out of ram. All this will mean is that you forced a reboot. It didn't happen naturally on its own. Meaning there is nothing to complain about when it does reboot. It was of your own doing.
Also don't try that underclock thing. You will be in for a big surprise when your device rebooted n won't cut back on anymore...lmfao because the clock speed too low. That's playing with fire. Not all primes act the same. You've been warned..lmao
Try WiFiKill on it!

Hey I just wanted to start a discussion about Galaxy Aces.
What have you done to your Ace that makes it different, you got a rom installed? Added a sticker? Anything! I just wanna see what different things people have done with a budget phone like the Ace and that way everyone can give it a go!
I guess I'll start, only thing I've done is installing a bunch of roms tryna find a good one ... still haven't found that special one for me but I have found a theme for the one I'm using now! Adrenaline is what I'm using now for those who were wondering.
So yeah, what have you guys done?
So...i rooted it,installed cwm recovery and installed apocalypse rc3(perfect rom....abd i have tried atlest 20 roms....)

If I can't find something that makes my battery life last longer then I'm tempted to switch to a more powerful Android phone, which I don't want to do because I love my Ace!
Rooted and installed a custom rom after a day I bought it. Had my 1st soft brick. Learned many things about android and now Im on MIUI GB by xxxMADxxx that will be released soon. Currently testing it but I think this will be my permanent rom.

It eats roms for breakfast, and has turned back from the bright light at the end of a bad flash one time too many. Quite a piece of work this little phone.
Running cm7.2 for quite a while now, a few prop tweaks, and sd partition, simple just works.
If cm9 and cm10 get stable enough I'll return to my ace-genocidal ways.
