Hi guys,
I have a problem with my BT headset.
It's a Nokia BH-504.
When I make a call and use the headset, hanging up sometimes sends my headset into a weird state in which it no longer responds to input. I have to reset it. It does not behave this way with other phones.
It does however work beautifully when using just the media routing with it.
Is there any way in which I could prevent the phone from using the headset as a phone call audio device? I mean permanently.
I am using a non-rooted official 2.1 GSM HTC Hero.
Thanks.

Hi everyone, I have just upgraded to the TG01 and i'm liking it
But I have one problem, I have installed Microsoft Voice Control and set the options but it does not work correctly. When I press the button the beep comes through the phone speaker and not through my Bluetooth headset.
My headset works I have been using it without voice control so it’s not a headset issue and on my last phone (Xperia X1) it worked fine.
There is a similar issue with the Samsung Omnia and it was a fault in how Samsung implemented the Bluetooth audio routing and I have searched here but I can’t find anything relevant.
I am using the stock UK Orange 6.5 rom and I am using a Jabra BT200 headset and I wondered if anyone else has the same issue or has suffered this problem and knows how to fix it?
Thanks
Is it possible to swith the audio to phone speaker or phone itself while you are using the bluetooth? I am looking for the feature similar to iPhone or Windows mobile that if you answer the phone using your phone, the audio will be on your phone but you can switch to bluetooth or vice versa. It seems like when ever I am using my BT, the audio button is grayed out and I have no other options. TIA.
That changed with the 2.1 update. It used to let you use the headphone jack AND AVRCP at the same time. Now its all bluetooth or nothing. I haven't seen any advanced bluetooth settings apps.
Why would an update of the OS taking away features? strange, let's hope this will be brought back on future updates. Thx.
Hi, just wondering anyone able to get phone call with bluetooth headset. I was able to connect bluetooth headset successfully but when making call, i can't hear the voice from other party. But playing music was ok. Someone pls help and confirm. Just wondering is my root and rom problem.
in addition, calling using viber can use bluetooth headset without problem.
Thanks alot
Once you have paired your device, long press it in Bluetooth settings then select options and select 'Tablet' for phone calls to be sent to it.
Tablet = Phone audio
Media = All other audio
So has anyone figured out how to use a bluetooth headset without root
Were you guys actually able to get it to pair and connect to the headset profile? not just the "media" profile?
I don't seem to have a tablet profile but I'm sure that's because I am not rooted (Evo View 4g)
Hi guys, i've been searching the internet with no avail, so now i hope the collective wisdom of XDAdevs can help me out.
I frequently need to do presentation on various places, and i fond thatO holding a microphone gets old really quick. I also believe in using my devices to the limit and beyond. I currently own a Plantronics edge bluetooth headset and a G3 phone.
so what I need is a way to use my bluetooth headset as a wireless microphone. In essence, what i need is to use the voice input on my bluetooth, transmit it to the phone, process it (if i want to) and output the result on real time to the 3.5 microphone jack, which i will connect to whatever sound system the room provides. Some apps I tried does the first part well enough, but unfortunately it transmits the output back to the bluetooth headset, and has no option to redirect it to the microphone jack. Can anyone help please? Much obliged.
Ps: my work frequently requires me to make phone calls without touching my phone or my headset. Can anyone recommend a good way to make the bluetooth headset phone 'listen' for keywords and voice dial my contacts selected numbers without me (or others) ever touching the phone or headset? Many thanks!
I am experiencing the following problem with my GT-S5282:
Even though both music and normal calls are transmited just fine to the Bluetouth headset (MW600), there is no voice when making a VoIP call (I am using the build-in Andoid's SIP support). The headset is showing the time of the call and allows to end it and so on, but there is no sound. VoIP works fine on GT-S5282 without the headset and I didn't have this problem with the same headset on HTC Incredible S.
Probably the same problem as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/skype-viber-voip-bluetooth-headset-t2405497
