---
My phone wont turn on via the power button, I have to insert the USB cable and the phone will power up, buzz, boot up until it tells me the rom version then reset, overall about 14 seconds, on a white HTC screen before it reboots again
My Phone will boot up into bootloader, and accepts being re-flashed with stock and cooked roms.
I can also factory reset with out a problem, but no joy
I've also tried various methods of booting with the little red button pressed
----
How it happened: - my phone locked up while testing the latest Android build, so I had to battery pull, since then I cant get the phone to boot at all.
Anyone any idea's or am I gonna have to use my warranty ?

If you can get into bootloader not bricked mate, maybe the battery needs charging a bit, check the battery pins havent bent at all, try re-flashing stock rom then going back to custom again
wow, cheers man
turns out one of the pins was bent forward slightly, I thought it was designed that way so didn't even think to try straighten it up, and now back up and running
Thank you

After my battery was empty i had to restart my Hero and now it's stuck in HBOOT
I tried already almost everything. I can't go to recovery, only to clearstorage.
I've connected my phone and tried many ways to boot in recovery but my computer doesn't recognize my phone(error: device not found).
When I'm in HBOOT i have two options, simlock and fastboot.
If i press back for fastboot nothing happens, and if i press send for simlock it says open file fail, Reboot device?

Did you install any other ROM aside from the official ROM code?
I installed the Modaco Rom 2 weeks ago, and it worked fine all the time
Damn, I'll guess it's bricked if nobody knows the answer...
Strange, without doing anything...
have you tried booting/flashin the recovery image from fastboot mode?

I guess I also had a similar issue this morning when I was trying to root my phone and it was stuck at 41% while updating ROM. I just did it again after plugging out the USB Cable and running the Ruu.exe and it updated the ROM within 5 mins. I guess in my case it was a case of my Windows getting hung (I was running it within Mac using Parallels), and it just worked after inserting the USB cable again.
Try running the update from another computer (after installing HTC Sync on that ..)
Good luck!
Hi guys, I have exactly the same problem.
One night the volume button would not work. So i rebooted to fix the problem. It rebooted into HBOOT. The screen with the 3 skateboards?
I only get two options
<Back> Fastboot Mode
The back button does not trigger fastboot!!
<Send> Simlock
Doing this only says
FAT32 Init Ok
Open File Fail
Reboot Device?
<Menu> Reset Device
I do so but it reboots directly into hboot again.
It also does a SD card check when it boots up onto this screen, says something like
herodiag.zip
etc etc
and it says not found i think, it goes very fast.
Anyway I am very frustrated. I was using Modacos 3.0. Without many problems.
I have a bad feeling that my phone is bricked.
Any help would be much appreciated.
And yes I have already tried countless combinations of button presses, all still go back to the skateboard screen.

this may sound like a silly comment, but to me it sounds like your VOlume Down button is stuck.
anyone else with a perfectly working hero can try this.
no matter what combination of buttons you press, if you have volume down pressed, it goes into hboot (or it seems to on mine, anyway)
O ok, any idea how I can sort of unstick it?
Seems like a good explanation.
on my cdma hero, following the directions i found online everywhere(hold home and boot) i was getting a HBOOT screen with only an option to erase all settings until i:
1. pop battery
2. reboot while holding vol-down, back arrow and power button
3. this time at the HBOOT screen there is an option to enter recovery mode(i think with a home press) fastboot or simlock
moisture in your HTC hero
It's possible that your 'volume down'-button is stuck because of moisture in you hero. I had the same problem. You have to warm your hero with warm air. CAUTION, make your hero NOT TOO HOT.
I flashed hardspl and ran an android rom for about 2 hours. then the phone freaked out, and now it will not boot past the pink tmobile splash screen. so i try reflashing hspl as well as normal 2.08 spl and nothing, now the phone wont leave the 3 color screen saying rom error. what gives and how can i get back to stock? thanks for the help
Try installing an original rom from sd card.
Try this
Take batt out reinsert
Hold vol down and keep pressing it now press and release power button
In rgb screen bootloader connect usb to pc ( should change from serial to usb as u connect the cable)
Flash hspl again
Download task 29 and run it progress bar at 99% hold vol down button as phone reboots to rgb bootloader screen
Flash stock HTC Rom 3.14
This should get ur winmo back

Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Take a pic, your description is a bit confusing.
Take a pic of whatever screen(s) u get and maybe we can help.
sounds like the OP didn't flash a new radio when tried to run android, can we get some more info on what you did?
Hi.
Just tryed to inst. Android in my HD2 and now it stuck with a white screen with the HTC logo.
Is it any way to fix this or do i just trach it?
I am not an expert but this happened to me once while installing SD android.
I reinstalled the original ROM from the HTC site and restored my phone to factory settings.
I tried another version of android and it worked well (since last September).
Only observation is that lately (last two month) my phone hangs a lot on both systems (droid & win) and overheats a lot and when this happens I need to wait for it to cool down (at least 20 minutes) then it accepts rebooting (I am stating this although I am not sure is it from the droid or just my HW is faulty for other reasons).
I hope this helps
I tryed a NAND install. Now I cant get conection with usb and computer
Maybe you can perform a hard reset with buttons
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it.
2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
I hope it works

As long as you can get to bootloader its ok
I would start over from the begining.....
Does it still show that you have HSPL installed on bootloader?
If so, reflash the windows 6.5 ROM that you were using before the android flash.
Then follow the steps in this thread.
Hope that helps....

Thnx I'll try it later and report back
Still cant get my coputer to connect to the phone.
I get to the "red green and blue" screen, and it says
PB01100 HX-BC
SPL-2.00.HSPL 8G XE
0x85
CotullaHSPL 0x40
I'm on win7 SP1
Ok when you enter bootloader (red green blue screen) you should see "Serial" at the bottom..
When you connect to the computer it should change to "USB"
You might not see anything happen on your computer but the word at the bottom of the bootloader should change.
I might be mistaken here but Im pretty sure you need "2.08 HSPL" although your bootloader shows you have HSPL installed its not 2.08. This might be the cause of your original problem.
Once it says "USB" your ready to flash a ROM via USB as usual...
If it stays on "Serial" after a few minutes then try another USB port or computer if possible.
Enter bootloader and run the HSPL tool and choose 2.08HSPL......
Then start the process from the beggining.
Hope that helps.

Hah your a babe conantroutman lol thnx
Is this the rigth SPL ?
Not to intrude on conantroutman here but yes you have to have HSPL 2.08 and a 2.15.50.14 or 2.10.50.02 radio for MAGLDR to work. Without the HSPL 2.08 you can not flash MAGLDR and without the proper radio version MAGLDR will not even boot up.
So to answer your question yes the HSPL you have in the picture you posted is the correct HSPL.
Yep as T said, hspl is good, radio is good. Your all set.
That guide for installing android at the top of the thread is pretty damn good and will have you up and running in no time. Let us know how you get on
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
thnx to both of you. I'll post here when done
Crap my call button dont work when I'm in bootloader
When your in the MAGLDR menu?
You may have to flash WM again to test the call button. Or try reflashing MAGLDR, that may help...
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
I guesse it's a lost case so I just installed winmo and runing android from SD card
thnx for the help.
btw!
is there a way to get htc sense to work on a huawei u8800 or x5?
Hmmm its very weird because if your call button works in WM then it should work in MAGLDR....
Hi everyone,
I have just bought an used HTC Radar 4g. It worked normally until I tried to flash the ship rom from Tmobile using RUU, it got an error and cancelled at 5%. Since then, the phone stuck at the bootloader screen and I even cannot enter the usb host mode by holding camera + volume down + power.
I tried to flash another ship rom from vodafone or europe with RUU but it got error too.
I already prepared goldcard usb and Y cable for goldcard method, but I cannot enter the usb mode to do it.
One more thing, the phone cannot be turned on without plugged into the power supply or laptop.
Here's some information in the bootloader screen:
PI06110
SPL-1.8.160015.3(131745)
eMMC SAMSUNG 7376MB
TOUCH A1(F:80, ID:10, V20, B:AA)
Radio-16.23.02.09_2
Can anyone help?
Happened to me with my second "test" radar. Nothing worked, not even Y-cable.
I'm afraid, we have a small dusty cold brick

Got it, just sent it to the repairing service and wait
Someone tell me my phone need to change the mainboard, is it really that bad?
I have a T-Mobile HTC One, unrooted and running the stock OS. A few hours after installing the 4.3 OTA update, the phone had a series of crashes in UIServer (or something similar), and when I attempted to restart it, it didn't start up again. The phone was charging at the time, and its red charging LED stopped working shortly afterward.
Now the phone won't boot, and when I connect it to my computer it shows up as QHSUSB_DLOAD. What can I do?

Unfortunately I have the same issue. I have contacted HTC and they told me to do the volume up and down and power button to recalibrate the battery but to no avail. I have tried using the T-mobile RUU but it doesn't recognize the device when plugged in to the PC. I bought the phone unlocked so I am not sure if T-mobile will even help me send it into HTC. I would be grateful for any help!
Can you get into the bootloader?
No, the phone is completely unresponsive, can't get into boot loader, the light and volume key thing didn't work either. I'm starting the phone is just hardware bricked. My device is completely stock too, how could HTC allow a manufacturer software update hardbrick their phone? Not sure if I will ever buy HTC again after this.

Hold down the power button for 20 seconds or so. This brought me to boot loader from this issue. Flashed an RUU from that point to get working again.
(You will have to hold down the power button until it gets the HTC screen every time the RUU says 'waiting for bootloader' unless it's already there.)
