Yes. Very succinct observation. Which ROM were you flashing mate. Is this something to do with that ROM's components? BTW, have you run Task29? See if that helps. Did you try to flash stock ROM?
check my sig, make sure you have followed all flashing steps
Flash a new Radio, and run Task29.
im in the same boat as the OP..mine will flash stock from the sd card, i can hspl, flash radios and roms no prob but everytime it shows the white htc screen and hangs never showing any r g d info. im at a loss as well. mines a telstra and at the moment its got a stock telstra on it..im really at a loss. any help would be appreciated, ive tried a helluva lot of roms and radios with no luck. dunno if itll help, but it goes into bootloader perfectly, flashes roms and radios perfectly from computer and i can flash stock roms on the sd just fine...just hangs on white htc screen.
k so now its got the 2.08 hspl on it, so i tried a telstra stock from sd and this is the error im getting now
00018003
LEOIMG.nbh - FAIL
RADIO_V2 - FAIL
So definately failing at the radio, and if theres no radio there is no boot..correct me if im wrong tho. so i would assume the first thing the hd2 does when booting is run through the radio program. when i get a good radio or shipped rom with radio flash it still hangs. so is it possible myself, the op and anyone else having this issue is having a hardware problem with our radio? just a thought, and maybe someone who knows could chime in
i had tried again, hardreset, leave it for awhile, it hangs at htc screen, i remove the battery, now its dead, not charging anymore and no bootloader, haayyy bad day

thats normal if youre flashing from boot loader..are you putting the phone in bootloader first? if so just hit next and itll work mate. but if youre flashing from activesync, from the rare few times i did i do recall it had the rom info there. does it not flash when you hit next?

if it flashes ok, and hangs at the white htc screen then youre in the same boat as me..ive tried everything i know and can think of and i dont think its a common problem so not many are sure what to do..im gonna call htc and see about a replacement but not sure how itll work as im in canada and its an australian telstra hd2. the fella i got it from is a mate an tryin to find the receipt so if he doesnt im hoping that seeing as the model is under a year old it wont be a problem. in the mean time i hope someone can think of somethin lol..maybe someone whos dealt with htc like this can chime in..

Hello guys, i own a stock vodafone TP. I've tried several rom updates however all of them stuck at the beginning where it shows the % bar, it starts and stuck at 0 %.
the latest rom i've tried was "EnergyROM 2.0 40509" i did it through the "EnergyROM Upgrade.exe".
is there anything i'm missing here??
help me please..
if u can extract the *.nbh file (assuming it is inside the EnergyROM Upgrade.exe), then u can try flash using microSD. And u should post in EnergyROM thread.

if i am reading your post correctly, you've never been able to flash a custom rom. If this is the case, have you "hard spl" your phone as yet?
Yes you're right. maybe i mixed up with the whole process of the hard spl even though i had read the guide several times .
First HSPL your phone...
Then Flash the ROM of your choice...
And READ, READ, READ, READ a lot, before...
thanks man!!! i'll try

So i have tried to Hspl my phone using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008 guide, but no luck.
first i tried to run the RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe but it said that there was an error, then i used the SSPLManual.exe the phone turned black and an icon appeared on my pc's task bar saying there's a new "something" - (can't remember the actual name) found. And that was it.
what should i do next because i saw at the bootloader that the spl remained the same..

leave the phone plugged in when it says installing "something." even if it takes 5 minutes...let it sit until the computer installs the driver.
then run the spl again. this happens to me every now and then. just give it time to install the driver.
you ment to run the RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe from my computer ??
yes...
it needs to install the driver for flashing the device.. on the pc.. when it done the hardwarewizard tell you that it works.. after that start the hardspl prog
thanks, i'll give it a try later on this day 'cause i'm at work now
that would be the best option
i doubt ur systemcommander let you install anything like drivers and tools to withstand his authority lol
LOL i don't think anybody minds what i do on my computer here at work..
then whats the wait ? hehe
mmm the data cable i guess... don't have it here
lmao
oke oke u got me there
(they're like 3 bucks in most local stores (not that im an addict or anything (a)))
not at all )
by the way, i've tried yesterday to do exactly as you told but no luck.
after i used the SSPLManual and pressed the RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe it said " error - there's a problem operating or something like that"

hey buddy, do this.
Download stock leo rom. rename the ruu.nbh file to leoimg.nbh and then put that on your SD card. Place the card in your phone and go into bootloader and follow onscreen instructions to restore that rom. This will remove hardspl and flash stock.
After this and first boot.
Download hardspl, follow instructions and flash that, then after you have hardspl again try flashing the rom you like.
Lemme know if you need more help.

Do you let it sit at the rom name screen after you flash a rom, somtimes depending on the base the chef used it can take about 3 mins to boot from there.

one more thing abt custom roms that it should support hd2 tmous as well coz hd2 tmous and hd2 from other regions have slightly diff hardware configs like hd2 tmous have 1g ram while others have 512
one more thing did you try custom rom with latest radio????
hello together,
i have been reading a lot in this forum but i did not find a solution. This is my problem:
My HTC TD2 shows a pixel error, therefor i should sent it back to the provider. Because i have had ERG-ROM with hard-spl on the phone i have tried flashing first sspl. After that i have tried to flash the original HTC-ROM, but at 9% it fails.
After the recovery the device boots to this 9%-Screen and that´s all. If i am booting to the bootloader, the Bootloader-Modus (Tricolour-Screen) appears, but in the upper right corner stands:"ruunbh"
What can i do next?

well, it has stock SPL now, yes? the custom OS is also erased by now... if not, then do a task 29 to make sure it is erased.
and then you can send the phone back no problem.
PS: I pressed thanks accidentally heh.
actually you should first flash the stock rom and then flash back the stock SPL (that's what i did, at least).
so, my advise would be to install the HARDSPL, then flash the stock rom and finally flash the stock SPL. this worked for me
good luck

afaik, as long as SPL is stock it should be okay... better than if it was booting to a cooked rom.
OP did have the original shipped ROM for the device, it seems. so he can say it got stuck when flashing, which is true.

i'm having some strange issues that I've never really had before. The phone is stuck in 3G for some reason....and the SD card isn't mounting automatically. i just got done relocking the phone and flashing an RUU and I think that changed something at a deep level that I changed for the better at one time or another....cause I used to flash any rom under the sun and NEVER have an issue whatsoever. Its on the 2.25HBOOT and just a stock RUU for now...
I'm about to unlock it and and put a recovery on it and start modding it again...but don't want to go do all that and not have the 4G or SDcard working after. I know about the Old firmware patch and I did not have to use that before. Its just confusing to me.
Also I am S-OFF....ideas?

Did you flash the ruu twice? Everything doesnt stick sometimes if u flash once.

Flash to the stock recovery and do a factory reset in hboot. That will solve the issue

actually when i flashed a RUU.. the first pass only had a couple of chechmarks and you could totally tell it didnt fully install everything because there were alot that it skipped/ not checked. 2nd passthrough it was fully checked off on what it was trying to install.

yeah, I think it flashes the hboot first and then reboots itself to do the rest. This is not the same as flashing the whole thing twice.:good:
Just lets start with yes I should have known better, yes I did not look before I leaped, yes I am an idiot.
Long story short I formatted the phone with TWRP, and now all it does as show the HTC logo when I turn it on. Can't connect to my PC, can't do anything with it at all. I just wanted to wipe the phone so I can sell it and I went a bit too far.
Is it a brick? Can I recover this thing somehow?
EDIT: BTW I can't turn it off either, its just stuck on a white screen with a HTC logo.
OK after some torture i got it into the bootloader. Need to charge it a bit before I can reload the base RUU. This should work, but will post again if it doesn't, thanks anyway....
