Where are you copying them from?
Is it just MP3s?
What error message do you get?

Been an issue with activesync for a while, seems to have no rhyme or reason which MP3's or what machines it affects ...
The way around it is, connect your phone as a disk drive not via activesync and then copy away, it is faster that way too ....
Thanks for the reply disc drive worked awsome

I am unable to transfer Music and photos on my S3 to micro sd card.
Any ideas or app to it??? Usual apps are not working!
connect your device to the pc via usb.
wait a minute for the drivers to install
go to "my computer" and open GT-i9300->SDCARD
create a folder "media" and put those files there

I should think so, you might need a card reader, but I'm sure the software exists out there. Did you try this

With a card reader, Recuva on Windows works great.
Photorec and others on Linux. Many solutions. Don't write anything else on your card to limit the risk of writing new data in blocks to recover.

Hello, I am a new poster but have been reading these forums for a couple of months. I have a Droid DNA and am trying to edit my home screen using videos from mycolorscreen on youtube, but I'm having some trouble trying to access my internal storage. I plug my phone with the usb into my macbook, and it shows the device as a cd-rom, and then I click on it and just shows a few random files/ documents that have nothing to do with internal storage. This is what it looks like when I click on it on my macbook (see picture). How am I able to get my device to allow me to access internal storage? thanks
someone please help!

You need android file transfer. Unfortunately, it's kind of clunky, but it gets the job done. http://www.android.com/filetransfer/
It's possible to get MTP to work natively in OS X via macports, but I'm not sure how well it works. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355913

Ive read you can put files for new screen themes into the root of the SD card. I know the root is the main file of the SD card (not in a sub folder) but I don't know any programs that will allow me to put these files directly on the sd card without making a sub folder! can anyone help or know info about this?

All of the methods posted in this thread will let you put files in the root of your sdcard.
My android file transfer wont bring my to the root of my storage, only where my data is, for CM 10.1 its the storage/emulated/0. Ive always just transfered everything there then to the next place and vice versa. Dont know how helpful this is but oh well. When I had my Tbolt plugging it in would allow me to get to the root automatically but trying to do anything with the DNA and Mac is a serious pain.
I have a galaxy s4 on Verizon, and was unlucky enough to update to the new ME7 build. I want to root and I know the only method out requires an SD card formatted to exfat. Please let me know if this is even possible and if so how to do it (to format the SD card to exfat). Thanks

Try using Disk Utility in System settings. Make sure the microsd is in an adapter and not in your phone. From there you should be able to select format drive. You should get an window asking you what format. I haven't done exFAT in particular but I have had to use that tool for formatting before.

Found what you were talking about. It tells me the disc is not writeable so therefore cannot change the format. Thanks a ton though, I've spent hours searching for an answer either way. Don't suppose there's a way to make it a read and write disk is there?

Huh weird. Are there any toggles on the Msd or the adapter? Sometimes those are installed to prevent them from being re-written.

What's the msd? The adapter was just one of the ones that looks like a normal SD card that the mini is plugged into. Could it be that the lock switch is in the wrong position? Didn't really check on that when I tried.

Sorry microsd. I abbreviated to msd. yup that lock switch controls the read/write ability so change the position and try to reformat.

No worries haha. Right well those are on regular SD cards, but they kept them on the Microsd adapters too. I'm pretty sure you should try toggling it it get the drive to be reformatted.

Well you'll need to extract zip files. I can't remember if Mac can do that or not. I use a MBP but I installed Windows 7 in bootcamp and I use that for all my phone hacking. You might need to install 7zip or something of the sort in order to extract the files from the root exploit i think. Just a heads up. after you've unpacked the files. only download those onto the msd card. Don't include the zip file or you'll get a read error in terminal on your device.

You can try browsing it with your computer or maybe try some recovery software for SSDs or flash drives
Edit: tell what your computer says about that sd card
