I should think so, you might need a card reader, but I'm sure the software exists out there. Did you try this

ok i have card reader

With a card reader, Recuva on Windows works great.
Photorec and others on Linux. Many solutions. Don't write anything else on your card to limit the risk of writing new data in blocks to recover.

[Q] how to format a 4gb sd card to exfat on mac

I have a galaxy s4 on Verizon, and was unlucky enough to update to the new ME7 build. I want to root and I know the only method out requires an SD card formatted to exfat. Please let me know if this is even possible and if so how to do it (to format the SD card to exfat). Thanks

Try using Disk Utility in System settings. Make sure the microsd is in an adapter and not in your phone. From there you should be able to select format drive. You should get an window asking you what format. I haven't done exFAT in particular but I have had to use that tool for formatting before.

Found what you were talking about. It tells me the disc is not writeable so therefore cannot change the format. Thanks a ton though, I've spent hours searching for an answer either way. Don't suppose there's a way to make it a read and write disk is there?

Huh weird. Are there any toggles on the Msd or the adapter? Sometimes those are installed to prevent them from being re-written.

What's the msd? The adapter was just one of the ones that looks like a normal SD card that the mini is plugged into. Could it be that the lock switch is in the wrong position? Didn't really check on that when I tried.

Sorry microsd. I abbreviated to msd. yup that lock switch controls the read/write ability so change the position and try to reformat.

No worries haha. Right well those are on regular SD cards, but they kept them on the Microsd adapters too. I'm pretty sure you should try toggling it it get the drive to be reformatted.

Well you'll need to extract zip files. I can't remember if Mac can do that or not. I use a MBP but I installed Windows 7 in bootcamp and I use that for all my phone hacking. You might need to install 7zip or something of the sort in order to extract the files from the root exploit i think. Just a heads up. after you've unpacked the files. only download those onto the msd card. Don't include the zip file or you'll get a read error in terminal on your device.

[Q] Reverting back from Dual booting

I don't think Dual booting was good enough for me, device lags a lot afterwards.
anyways I've been looking around for ways to revert back to normal booting, this could be achieved ofc by installing another Kernel, but the storage space for the second ROM is unavailable. how can I get that back? thank you.
also, I wanted to extract my nandroid from the device, but I couldn't find it anywhere except in the CWM. any help on this too?
much appreciated.
thank you.

Could be in three places External Sd card folder clockworkmod....Internal folder clockworkmod or if you have a folder "0" on internal sd card look in there for clockworkmod also use a root explorer to find it.

Well, it kinda works...only I cant recover my old photos...but I keep trying, if I can have any luck...
Otherwise, what other solutions are avaliable?
Sorry to sound cliche but have you set up any of Samsungs backup services, or used Dropbox? Your pictures might be uploaded to the server automatically if you did set it up in the first place.

Enter in Recovery Mode and look at first line the version number.
If it's not that one (the last version), You could try to install it.

You can try browsing it with your computer or maybe try some recovery software for SSDs or flash drives
Edit: tell what your computer says about that sd card
